I recently worked with DryZone in Ellendale on some construction supplies and installation work, and the experience was a mix of frustration and technical oversights. The crew’s punctuality was inconsistent; on several occasions, they arrived later than the scheduled time. When they finally came to install the wall anchors, they lacked the key for their Bobcat, which forced them to spend the entire morning retrieving it. Consequently, we didn’t even get started until around 11:30 or 12:00 PM. Their preparation was also lacking. They had to borrow two pipe wrenches from me because they didn’t bring their own. The quality of the finish left much to be desired. They removed two outlets from the wall but never reattached them, leaving the oil line pipes dangling without securing them back to the wall. Additionally, they failed to install a necessary barrier between the galvanized plate and the copper pipe to prevent electrolysis. I also noticed some sloppy work with the sump pump setup. The extension cord was simply wrapped around the pipe and left hanging, which felt unprofessional and could have been done much more neatly. Finally, the grading in the driveway was left in poor condition. The dirt was uneven, with significant lumps and bumps that pose a tripping hazard, especially for someone like me who isn’t very steady on their feet. If a company is going to do the work, they should ensure the site is left in a safe and tidy state.
