Went to see Mary Poppins...great show! Amazing talent...all I can say is wow!!! Drury Lane is one of the few theatres that offers seating with enough legroom to sit comfortably for a performance (although I wish all venues would realize that people are a lot bigger than they were in the past and offer some wider seats so you're not sitting shoulder to shoulder).
easy parking and easy exit for a Saturday nite show
Enjoyed the play I saw, drinks are a bit pricey but overall a good experience.
I saw Rock of Ages. The show was good, the theater is great. I don't know that you can get a bad seat here! The drinks are over priced, but I really can't complain too much.
Best portrayal of Joseph ever. Loved seeing Christina Bianco. What an added plus. Everyone should see this production.
Mamma Mia was PHENOMENAL! Talented Gorgeous Cast! Fabulous lunch! Amazing Theater! Thank You All!
Steak was really good for a reception hall, mediocre drink selection for a 'top shelf' bar
We go at least annually to catch dinner and a show. We usually stay at one of the hotels.
Great brunch, lots of variety, and quite reasonably priced considering champagne is included.
BEAUTIFUL, DELICIOUS FOOD AT DEENA& DAN'S BRIDAL SHOWER
My daughter saw the play Beauty and the Beast, said the place was gorgeous.
Great Venue! Beautiful decorations! Very affordable. Love it
It was a very nice and beautiful place! Fun experience at the expo.
Friendly staff great atmosphere all around nice place to be
I was double charged for a service, when I requested a review for fees from management, it took almost 3days.
Staff are kind & helpful. The shows are consistently very good. The seats are roomy. Always enjoy going!
This is a review for weddings/banquets
We got married at Drury Lane last month and it was just an overall wonderful experience! They were one of the first vendors we booked during our 18-month engagement, and every step over those 18 months was so simple and straightforward.
We were looking for a venue that was beautiful on its own, pretty much all-inclusive, and reasonably priced and Drury Lane ticked all those boxes. Also, the food was DELICIOUS! Seriously, its a month later and people are still telling me how it was probably the food they'd had at a wedding (shout out to the champagne sorbet). So much parking, plus complimentary valet, hotels on-site (plus a complimentary hotel room), easy to get to from the city and just all that old-Hollywood glam.
We worked with Ruth, Lesley, and Tammy and each of them was incredibly helpful and so nice. It was so easy to arrange our tasting, pick a menu, discuss linens, arrange a rehearsal, etc.
I can't recommend highly enough!

Classy establishment. Quality of performance depends on the show but the food is always good.
Very nice place, great sound , drinks are way to expensive
Very large theater, ballroom and banquet hall. Great location for any large and/or formal event. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I went to a pastoral annivery dinner there and really enjoyed the food and decor. They had plenty of staff and large clean bathrooms. All in all, a very nice venue.
Very lovely place everyone was beautiful the actors were great the staff was awesome the audience was good nice and quiet so you can hear everything the play was great I did not eat there so I don't know how the food is
Great food and great staff!! Can't wait to go again!
My family always purchase "season tickets" (every year). Love the plays, cozy place, great staff. I've been seeing broadway theater and plays here for decades... great food, great staff, and the shows are usually amazing.
Came here for a couple showcase meeting very clean and beautiful.
I was here for a convention. Service was excellent and food was great.
Great experience abd a wonderful play. Better than the movie.
Hard to exit as it is very congested. Nice venue to see a show.
One of the premier banquet halls in the Chicagoland area
Amazing brunch. Food is excellent, service as well. If you want to watch a play there is no better place to go than Drury Lane. If you attended a wedding at this place you definitely see that this banquet is probably the best in the suburbs. They made a lot of changes the last few years definitely for better.
I'm not going to give a scathing review of Joseph - there have been plenty of those on here. (I'll add that transparency in advertising can go a long way to not making so many people so upset). What I will say though is that Drury Lane's customer service is absolutely appalling. I had multiple family members try and have civil conversations with a management person about their advertising issues and we were brushed off and told that we were the problem. I loved this theater and have attended many shows here, but after being treated so terribly during my last encounter, I won't be back again.
my new favorite movie theater! Love this place. went twice in one weekend. Responsibly priced tickets and menu too!
Shows are amazingly well done, service is great, food is excellent, overall a wonderful family experience.
This place blew my mind! The best interpretation of Joseph that I've ever seen! Courteous, friendly staff who seemed genuinely happy that you were in attendance. We will be back in the fall for Little Shop.
Play was well done. Actors was very believable & suspense was exciting. Love it!!
What a beautiful theater and convention center! We went for brunch with friends. The food is outstanding and the amount of food to choose from is insane! If you leave there hungry, it's your own fault. LOL! Highly recommend the brunch! FANTASTIC! The service there is exceptional as well. They really make you feel special and are very detailed oriented. Everyone is very friendly.
Nice theater, reasonable prices not far from the city. Breakfast buffet is well done and compliments the show nicely.
Brunch on Sundays is out of this world. Prime rib, donuts off the conveyer belt, ceviche, thick bacon, and so so much more. Unlimited mimosas or bloody marries included!
Great theater! Big stage and a big audience. Nice and comfortable chairs. The lighting is wonderful and luxurious. My class and I went to see the Christmas Carol. It was such a great performance I wanted to see it again! The actors and actresses did a wonderful job. Young and elder actors, very skilled. The audio was working great and we could hear and understand everything they were saying. The very dramatic lighting on stage and sound affects were awesome! They put a lot of work into their plays. They work hard on their costumes too, they were very realistic to what men and women wore in the Victorian Era.
I have been to Drury Lane countless times but as they have just recently proved themselves to have absolutely no integrity or concern for the customers, they have lost my business. If you haven't heard of the whole Joseph fiasco, there are countless other reviews that can tell you about the show. Whether someone liked the show or not is completely irrelevant. The fact is this: Drury Lane advertised that they were putting on a classic Broadway musical- one that is widely known to be a family show. They really put on a modern "twist" that was not intended for children at all but made no announcement of this anywhere. Their own sales director admitted to me on the phone that the director of the show didn't want anyone to know that this wasn't the original Joseph before opening night. When customers who brought children, school groups, church groups, etc were obviously upset, Drury Lane's answer was to dig their heels in the ground, offer no compensation (not even tickets to a different show), and then change the description on the website (multiple times) to cover their tracks. They could care less about their customers. Only their money. They even changed their recommended age for the show! When I called, after seeing an added line about sexual content that was not on the website when I made my purchase, I was told the show was not recommended for anyone under 13, even though this was listed nowhere. However, the show had been previously recommended for ages 5+ on the website! That information had since come down, the sexual content warning was added, and no new age was listed.
They just kept changing their story to figure out how to keep themselves out of legal trouble. Thankfully, my credit card disputed the claim and won. As for the theater, their lack of business ethics, honesty, or integrity is a true shame. If you do not take care of your customers, you will soon find yourself with no customers left.
I love Drury Lane. There are no bad seats. It is a small theater with only 1 level. This means your view is never blocked by pillars, like at the big theaters in Chicago. There is also plenty of leg room in the seats.
The actors are always amazing. The lighting, music, and costumes are always well done. I have been going to Drury Lane for years. My parents took me when I was a kid and I loved it. I have continued to go and now bring my friends with me. This is something everyone of all ages can enjoy. It is also not very expensive. You can amazing plays at a low cost, and never worry about having a bad view.
Love coming here. It has been a tradition for my husband and I on holidays for many years. He has come here for years with his mom before she passed. For as much as you pay (price recently went up what feels like again.) the food never changes. There is no variety. It would be nice to see some different things. We don't know how much longer we will be able to keep our tradition up if prices keep going up, we pay $140 for two people.
Drury Lane has amazing productions with extremely talented performers in an intimate theater.
Great lunch and theatre. Had a great time. Beautiful place.
One of the best deals for theater in the Chicgolnd area. A subscription includes 5 quality plays for less than $200 A year. Entertaining and reasonable.
Play was outstanding, the food very good! The service was so so.
The play Matilda was so bad I left at intermission along with many others ! MaMa Mia had been so terrific that I was shocked at this play. It was a terrible waste of talent and rehearsal time, a very wrong selection. It deserves zero stars.
Love live intertainment. Here we don't have to deal with downtown traffic.
Beautiful, elegant and classy. Service could be better
Went for the buffet it was delicious especially the prime rib and breakfast items very pleasant ambience and everybody there is very nice and good service
Beautiful location for special occasions with a great selection of brunch items: salads, charcuterie, omelets, prime rib, shrimp, salmon, ceviche and more (all DELICIOUS!). There's also a great bloody Mary bar if the mimosas aren't enough. Do yourself a favor and try the fresh donuts (either with or without the available toppings before heading to the dessert bar).
Always amazing productions and very easy to get to/park at. There is really not a bad seat in the house so we'll often just grab tickets to whatever is playing regardless of where we will end up in the theatre.
Really nice place to see a show, great time, good brunches too.
I WANT to rate Drury higher. The facility is beautiful and clean and the employees are pleasant. I have two gripes, which are serious enough that I'm unlikely to return: 1) The cost is usually too high. You can find higher quality productions for much lower cost (see Paramount or any number of local Chicago theater companies). 2) What they did with Joseph made me feel ripped off. I understand that the director wanted to "reinvent" the story, but this was not advertised to me when I purchased the tickets or entered the theater. It was NOT geared toward families and the theater was unapologetic. That was a big offense in my book, and should have been handled much better.
