Drouot expedition (transport) is basically an extortion operation where they try to charge buyers 500% mark up for their "service", without obtaining consent from the buyers . Like most European Auction houses this one is not an exception. If you want to purchase fake goods described as authentic, find that the Champagne box you bought has rotten corks and undrinkable, receive outrageous shipping and storage quote. Find that sterling silver plates you bought are silver plated....go ahead and give these crooks your money.

My forwarder, a special transporter for antiques and art, told me later that Drouot enjoys a very bad reputation on the scene and that he already had some unsatisfactory journeys there.
The girandoles I have meanwhile restored, but the behavior of the auction house is in my case unrestorable.
