This has been my first year working at the Kings Bay Y and I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend my summer. Working in division 2 can definitely be overwhelming. Not only have I established amazing relationships with wonderful kids from my entire division, but the incredible staff I work with has made coming to work every day a pleasure and something I look forward to. This is all thanks to our division leader Michelle and our assistant division leader Oren. The division 2 counselors are lucky to have the both of them. They cater to all of our needs and are both extremely responsible. Michelle manages to make sure the kids are constantly having fun while making sure they are safe and well behaved. Oren has a great passion for the children and is very high spirited. Couldn't ask for a better staff!

Kings Bay Y is an amazing place to work. It gave me a good way to start off my resume and get a bit of money before I start school again. I worked on the marketing team during the school year for about 2 hours a day to start off and then went to work as a head counselor for swim camp during summer. I enjoyed working with my coworkers who are really good at talking to strangers and getting them to sign up for summer camp when i was marketing and loved having my CITs and Assistant Counselors to help me deal with the 40+ kids i had to take care of each work day. It was great to work with my supervisor Michelle Fogel also! She was a great leader that was always once step ahead of every issue and was kind to all her staff but was tough when called for. Working with kids is really fun because you get to see many different characteristics of the future generation. It was of course tiring like any other job but at the end of the day i missed seeing those bright smiling faces lookin up at me each morning. I got to make friends and create a family with my coworkers and the upperstaff. I unfortunately could only work one session of the summer because i had to go on vacation and i really miss working with my family of 40 kids and 20 siblings . It was a fun and interesting job to work over summer and during the school year. It sets up a resume for the future, gives me community service hours for colleges to look at and gives me my own pocket money. It was an amazing experience working with the Y and i look forward to working there in the future.

Great swim camp, daughter developed stronger skills, stamina, much better swimmer after a month of practice. Great communication, keeping parents abreast of schesules, events and busing routes and times.
