When I initially called, I did a quick phone assessment to see whether I needed inpatient or outpatient care. It was determined I would be put on the outpatient waitlist. They told me they were currently scheduling 4-6 weeks out and asked if this was ok? I said it was ok, I was hopeful and relieved because I knew I just needed to make it the 4-6 weeks to finally be able to see someone regarding my issues. 4 weeks pass, 6 weeks pass...8 weeks pass... I get a phone call and I was so happy to see I had a message from them. Until I listened to the message... long story short and gist of the message, they weren't calling to schedule an appointment. They were calling to let me know that they had a 7 week "program" that I could join that cost $250 and after 4 weeks I could be assessed and determine if I still needed to see a therapist privately. If it was determined that I did, I could be moved up the waitlist. So basically by paying money I could move up on the list. More hoops to jump through. The initial 4-6 weeks has turned into 8-9 weeks with an additional 7 weeks to do a "program" and then you'd still be on a "waitlist" for god only knows how many MORE weeks but could advance yourself by doing the program. So I've wasted time waiting around for these people to care when I could have still been searching for another therapist. They called me twice regarding this program, never once about scheduling an appointment. I'm a pretty understanding person and had they called to tell me they are still really swamped, I would have been a lot more receptive to that, but they called to try to sell me on a program to move myself up on the waitlist.

I was enrolled in the 9-week IOP program. It has helped me immensely. I understand now why they call it the center for "balanced living." Their focus is to help you go from eating and thinking in extremes to thinking with a balanced, freeing view on how to eat and live. I made close friends, I was able to begin to uncover the root behind my disorder, and I went from eating maybe once a day to (for the most part!) 5 times a day - but also leaving room for days that aren't perfect, since my recovery is not going to be linear. I am definitely in a much better place than I was before the program - thank you to everyone who helped me move towards recovery.

Went to The Center for eight weeks. Followed the meal plan/exercise plan. They recommended that I attend a trauma/eating disorder out of state for a higher level of treatment and I jumped through THREE WEEKS of hoops for the place the recommended The day before I was supposed to get admitted to the new place the Center pulled their recommendation . Then when they recommended I come in for a meeting to discuss the situation they booted me from the program for yelling and had me kicked off campus. So if you are looking for someone to make a quick cash grab for your money this is your place. If you want to get better don t waste your time.

This was truly one of the worst choices I made. My therapist, Molly, was totally unqualified for her position. She had no agenda, no plan, nothing. She would ask me to tell her about my life and if there were any symptoms of anything, instead of guiding me, she would have me look in the DSM-5 book which I could easily do at home and not pay her to do. She would never come to any conclusions or advise me what was wrong or even have conversations where I would want to open up to her. When I would tell her about past trauma she just told me my life was sad. Literally. I'm embarrassed with the time I spent there with her to gain nothing but more shame from it. I do hope others have had a much better experience with their therapists. I do not recommend this place.
