Worked for Kings in 2003 - 2005, Joined again 2018 to date. Great to see the progression of the business between these times and good to see alot of old faces, Lots of welcoming colleagues,enjoyable enviroment to work.
I joined Kings some 8 years ago, I have been offered the opportunity to progress through the business, with training provided. An enjoying and sometimes challenging industry we work in brings new experiences every day. If the individuals are up for the challenge it brings the rewards that are earned.
I applied for an apprenticeship engineer role in Bradford and had heard from a friend that it was a great company to work for. I called before the deadline to make sure they had my application and they said they did and I waited until after the deadline before calling again. I spoke to the woman in charge of the recruitment and she stated that the role had been withdrawn. I was very disappointed.
We have been very loyal customers of this company for 40yrs both at business and home. In the days the business was family run by Jim King
it was First Class.
18months ago I was advised by a salesman that our WIRED system which they had fitted at build could fault anytime. Acting on his advice we changed to a WIRELESS system. We were then given Neutral advise which contradicted that provided by the Kings Salesman which had us insist that we returned to the WIRED system we had previously had fitted with NO ISSUES.
The work was carried out last January. The only favourable comment I have to make is that in all the years we have dealt with this Company the engineers have been FIRST CLASS.
Yesterday I received our first years renewal premium for service charges and was ALARMED ( excuse the Pun) to find that this had doubled and we were informed that we would need to agree to stay with the Company for the next 3 years.
SORRY KINGS THIS IS WHERE WE PART COMPANY just like quite a few of your workforce did last year.
There is No consideration for Loyalty anymore.

I was with Kings for four months didn't enjoy it worked in lidl and don't have the tools do your job. Suffered abuse, fights, aggressive shoplifters and abusive customers every shift don't even have a body cameras to protect ourselves. Lidl says its data protection which is joke most retailers have body cameras.Management will never back you u, can't use cctv when police ask for it which shoplifters can't get prosecuted wonder why store losing money. Also money not worth it thank god I left.
I used to work as Security Officer for Kings secure technologies at Lidl for a while and I would say It was one of the worst experience I ever had in my life . We didn't have anough Security personnel, dealing with aggressive customers , full of shoplifters and lidl management was so rude at all . It could be a good environment but the expectations are so high working alone or maybe with a colleague against hundred and hundred of people everyday . I'm not surprised that We had different Security guards every single month .
Horrible firm that bully the staff with policy s- undercut others and demonstrate poor workmanship
For the price and the building they are in I expected the best service, however equipment is poor quality and ridiculously overpriced
Fitting was poor, one camera was hanging off after they left, DO NOT RECOMMEND
