Great atmosphere, wait staff are amazing and the food is great. Definitely will visit here again
Wonderful place with excellent food and great friendly staff. A combination of elegant and homey and a diverse crowd.
The ambiance was nice. The fireplace was going so it was warm and cozy. Friendly service. Great food. I woyld recommend a reservation if you are going on a day where there is a home hockey game.the place filled up.afyer the hockey game and the wait time increased for walkins. I had the Buffalo shrimp kabobs with grilled veggies and horseradish mashed potatoes.
Huevos Rancheros and Stuffed French Toast is absolutely what the doctor ordered.
Always outstanding. If you are in a steak kind of mood and Mancini's is full, this is an excellent option. On damn near equal footing.
Stopped in for happy hour today at the bar. Bartender poured a beer for the waitress. She noticed something wrong and was waiting for the bartender to come back. The manager walked over and asked her what was wrong. She said there was a bug in the beer. He took a straw got the bug out and told her to serve the beer!
Great ambiance, delicious food, fair prices, friendly staff. We had a great experience.
A really great restaurant. The food is good, the pizza and pasta especially. They also include the tip in the bill which makes it so much easier
Pretty location with fireplace and wood stove cooking. Both had walleye sandwich with tons of fries. Got a free dessert for my birthday. 3rd or 4th time eating there. Like it.
Had their Sirloin back in February and it was the best we've had. Went back and confirmed, it's the best we've had. Melts in your mouth and both the Peppercorn sauce and the demi glazed are both amazingly good. Six stars if I could.
Attended a graduation party for our nephew who just got his masters. Appetizers were set out at 4 o'clock and they were kept warm and refilled. Special menu was made for us, 2 salads, 4 entrees and cheesecake for dessert. All of the food was really good. The server's were great, polite and efficient.
Great bar and resturant
I love coming out to St. Paul Grill for drinks or dinner. You can't go wrong with the menu and the service has always been good.
Fantastic food, super clean bathroom with fresh flowers. Wait staff more than excellent. Lot parking as well as on street.
Fantastic food, AMAZING experience and easy location. This place is great for a date night out, corporate event, or celebration of any kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steakhouse/ grill in the area!
This place has the greatest atmosphere. It has a lovely sunday brunch that is very reasonably priced. There is even a gentleman playing the piano. Very good food would definitely go back
Chicken was small on the sandwich, but the flavor was amazing. Fries were perfect golden crunch
Very good food with friendly and attentive service.
Great food and great service!! Best Wild Rice soup ever! Great place to bring kids. Also very convenient parking lots for customers!
First time there, had breakfast and it was very good, prices are quite reasonable in my opinion.service was a little slow but very hospitable
great service but breakfast steak did not have any flavor.
I am Italian and French on my mothers side, so needless to say I take my food and dinning experiences exceedingly seriously. Apparently the owner of this place is some local darling and people seem to have nothing but good things to say about him. Well, I have nothing remotely close to say that even resembles anything civil and polite to say about the quality of this establishments food and after seeing the owner interact with his employees at this restaraunt and his bar across the street, I have serious doubts about the people of St. Paul's ability to judge character.
As I was waiting for my date to arrive at the entrance, the host offered coffee or water...simple...yet a nice gesture. I have been to this restaurant a half dozen times and they always treat you well. I will be back. I suppose it would make sense to critique the food as well...I have yet to be disappointed.
Very nice restaurant. Great (and different presentation) of their Cobb salad and they have big Popovers!!
Always a good choice for casual or business lunches.
Great Place for Breakfast as well as Dinner...if you go for dinner try the salmon and get the horseradish mashed potatoes.
Comfortable, service is Fanstatic bee going to Happy Hour for years. The best Bartender is Jackie. Food is. Great an so is the service
Great atmosphere, great food...our server Steven was very attentive and personable. He did a fabulous job making us feel like friends rather than guests!
I was here on Saturday 7-27, and one parking lot was full, while the other, across the street, was being serviced.
Moe (owner) directed me to park on the street at a metered spot... And he then used the parking app to pay for my space.
Top notch customer service, inside (and outside) the restaurant.
Delicious food with great service in a beautiful setting.
Great food and service. Warm fire in the fireplace.
I come down in a group a couple times a year to watch the Jets play the wild. And we've come to the downtowner twice now and very very good food. I've had steak both times and alway cooked to perfection.
sat at thw bar, got coffee and breakfast. quick, easy, delicious.
Excellent atmosphere. Not so noisy. Great soup and salad to compliment the heart Black and Bleu Burger. Great Service.
My favored area for delicious High quality Meals. I desire there were even more locations like this around town. Costs were reasonable for the top quality of the food. They have a lot of excellent testimonials for a factor.
I just ordered a burger, but it was very good. Friendly service, pleasant atomsphere, not too loud, but not too stiff either. I would come back.
The food was excellent. I don't drink, so I can't make comments to that effect. I thought the restaurant had a warm, welcoming feel and unique, but not obnoxious, decor. The wood fire vibe and theme came through strongly with a downtown sophistication.
Waitress service was hit or miss but nothing so dreadful as to ruin the evening. Perfect for a date, family dinner or group gathering with friends.
Please note: when our large group went we did make reservations. I do not believe they are required but likely polite and helpful for the staff for groups of more than 6 people.
I shared a wonderful time with my wife and our couple friend one sure day brunch here. We got both the mimosa and bloody Mary's to start and the bloody Mary's we're definitely worth it. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict and I now dream about that meal. It was about 14$ and I would highly recommend it as it was made to perfection. I highly recommend this place for brunches as the atmosphere is relaxing but upbeat and the price is always right.
Warm and cozy atmosphere with an upscale feel. Great food and large portions. The breakfasts are outstanding. I have to say our waiter was delightful with a great sense of humor. Definitely a place that you should try out if you haven't already. The onsite parking is a plus as 7th street is a busy location.
Was very comfortable sitting right next to the fire Big portions! Friendly staff with many people helping serve and buss tables. Many menu options!
Beautiful Atmosphere, the food was fantastic as was the service.
Okay Italian cuisine in an aging restaurant. Pizzas, salads and meat entrees are its mainstay. The menu and interior could really use an overhaul. The best part about the restaurant is its easy and free parking. Service was good but when wer went, hardly anyone was really there
Place was wonderful. Went with my gf for her birthday and everything was perfect. They brought her a slice of cheesecake for her birthday which was one of the best cheesecakes I've had. She had alfredo which she loved and i had lamb chops that were wonderful. Our server steven was wonderful. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Good food. Reasonable portions. Entree prices ranged from $15 to $30. The pizzas are good, but are definitely loaded with cheese. Personally, I liked this, but it wasn't quite what you might expect with such 'artisan' pizza toppings.
Went for family, birthday brunch... fun. Good breakfast, service... tasteful piano play. A pleasant time.
Every time I visit St. Paul, I make certain to have at least one dinner here to treat myself.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, beautifully appointed dinning room combined with the wood fire going... only thing that makes it better is the amazing food.
Steaks are always perfectly prepared and delicious! Sirloin is probably my favorite. Tonight I tried the NY Strip and that was equally decadent.
Do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal here. You'll be back, just like me!
Excellent service and fantastic food. We were seated by the fireplace, which is beautiful but very warm. It was the only downside, it became extremely warm but dont let that take away from the great food, drink and service
Loved the food! Server was very good and friendly. Will be going back again.
The service was friendly and very good. However, and maybe I am spoiled, but the fish sandwich was less than what I expected. More bread than fish.
Quality experience. Good place to bring out of town guests for any meal of the day. The down Connor Woodfire is my "go-to restaurant."
The food and atmosphere here is amazing! Came here with a close friend for lunch, and the service was quick and friendly!
I had their Zucchini Corn Chowder (some of the best corn chowder I have ever had with a slight hint of citrus in the broth), a Portobello Mushroom Sandwich (served with crispy fries, my only complaint is that I think strips of zucchini would have been more successful than the discs of zucchini which were quite large and made it a bit challenging to eat all together), a Molten Chocolate Cake ala mode (slightly underwhelming, the cake didn't have a molten center and had a weird texture to it, but the flavor was nice and the ice cream was a very creamy vanilla bean), and a German Chocolate Cake Martini (so strong and flavorful) for desert.
My friend got a half Ceasar salad (small plate was quaint, but easy to push the food off the plate if not careful), the NY Strip dinner (cooked correctly per her order and seasoned well, with garlic mashed potatoes and a grilled veggie kabob), Blackberry Cheesecake (pleasantly sharp blackberry flavor with a cute checkered chocolate drizzle design), and a spiked Grasshopper Ice Cream drink (sweet and delicious) for desert.
This meal was within the $$ price bracket, but well worth it! Our only other complaint was how cramped the bathroom stalls were. The toilet paper box and sanitary bin were poking into our sides and arms, making it a bit difficult to properly move around. But the bathroom was clean and had a nice ambiance with fresh cut roses placed between the sinks.
Fabulous Atmosphere
Friendly and Excellent Staff
Classic Menu
The last two times we have been there the meat has been WAY overcooked, under seasoned and over priced. Would have given restaurant a higher rating in the past but feel as though it has slipped in the past couple years.
Convenient, some parking, warm homey atmosphere and good food too
Lamb chops with demi glace was great! Do not get the fried calamari and shrimp appetizer, tasted like dirty batter and fryer oil and the calamari was over cooked
Awesome hot toddies on happy hour! Great appetizers too
Poor service- waiting time to be acknowledged for a group of 6, asked bus gal to find waitress as were ready to order.
Food -was either too seasoned causing illness or bland and not filling for others.
Waitress- was rude & oblivious to class
Happy Easter to my family...not!!!
Went for brunch. Good food and service. Very nice ambiance.
It's ok. Courteous staff. Good beer and wine selection. Pricey.
