I made a guided tour with historical and stylistic references also to the adjacent buildings in Piazza della Repubblica. Aperitif in the hotel bar. All very interesting.

The hotel is a charm and the professional, helpful and courteous staff. The only regret: having stayed only one night!

Very refined structure a few steps from the main square, rooms always clean and tidy, welcoming staff, particular mention goes to the Berlam barman, very friendly and helpful, he illustrated the history of the building on which the Doubletree stands today and provided us great descriptions of the various cocktails. Perhaps the quality of the breakfast products is a bit poor, but it is still a 4-star hotel. I recommend it

A snack or an aperitif at Berlam is a fairytale experience. Beautifully restored rooms that bring back to a refined atmosphere of the past. Suggestive. Highly recommended!

Just opened as a hotel after a major renovation, it looks like a quiet and welcoming place. The bar / restaurant has a nice view and despite having a retro style it does not put the visitor in "embarrassment". A good contribution to making everything "serene" is given by the professional but very kind staff.

Perfect location, marvelous palace, exquisite room, delicious food and extraordinary staff. Only cons would be the lack of parking by the premises, but everything else is so overwhelmingly fantastic that I haven t missed that too much. Will definitely be my first choice when visiting beautiful Trieste.

The building (restored internally and externally) is beautiful to scream, typical of the early 1900s. A sight for the eyes.

Fantastic hotel and tremendous staff! Super location directly in the city with anything you need just steps away. Fantastic hotel, newly renovated building with beautiful and cozy rooms. Very comfy bed (like in any Hilton property), good wifi, big rain shower in the bath. But what makes this hotel as fantastic as it is, is the staff. We originally wanted to stay for 5 days, but only stayed 3 days because of the bad service. It was very loud, the staff did not wear a mask, the social distance was not observed. The breakfast buffet was very poor, there was only one type of cheese.

The hotel is in a carefully restored historic building which gives the structure a very refined appearance. Spacious, modern rooms equipped with all comforts. Excellent soundproofing and the quality of bed linen and towels. Young, smiling and kind staff. Perfect location for visiting Trieste. The dining room is also very tasteful. A 5 star disguised as 4.

Location, location, location One of my favorite hotels during our drive across Northern Italy. The hotel is fantastic when it comes to comfort, location, and a touch of elegance. I think our only tricky part was parking, which once we got there was taken care of quickly. The staff of the hotel took great care of us, and our room was very comfortable. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit in Trieste from the waterfront, up to the castle, and to go shopping. I really enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree.

I had never tried a Hilton hotel because I thought it was not within my financial reach and it is not. It is the right compromise between luxury hotels and affordability (and there are many offers available). As a building so much stuff, it is a mix of classic art with a touch of modern sophistication in the interior design of the rooms. Super hygiene and cleanliness (you could eat on the floor or in the bathroom). Equipped with basic necessities for personal hygiene, replaced at each exhaustion and towels changed every day. Minibar always stocked and corner bar in the room included with coffee pods, deca, herbal teas and tea available. I stayed in a very spacious suite, with a winter garden in the center of the room that separates the sleeping area from the living area with sofa and maxi TV; maxi TV also in the sleeping area; wardrobe equipped with hangers, safe, ironing board and iron; in addition to the classic sockets there are also USB sockets to be able to charge the mobile phone directly by connecting the USB cable without the need to have a plug with you. A stratospheric thing are the mattresses ... I have never slept in such a comfortable bed in my entire life, I have made up for all the overdue sleep. Included in my package was also the Spa with Turkish bath, sauna, emotional showers, relaxation area and massage area, with a corner available for cold / hot herbal teas to promote relaxation. Competent, kind and always available staff. Abundant breakfast buffet with a wide range of products available for both a savory and sweet breakfast and also for celiacs! A highlight but still not very well known is the bar. Many do not know that the bar is also open to non-customers and that the prices are very accessible (you pay for a cocktail as much as you would pay in any other bar). A unique thing is the sartorial cocktail ... they make you the customized cocktail tailored for you and that will bear your name. Many other events are scheduled at the bar so don't miss them! The bar is the perfect place to have a cool aperitif on a budget. If you want to make a great impression by not selling a kidney, the Hilton bar is the perfect place. As for its location, the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the center of Trieste and the seafront ... a city that deserves to be visited! What can I say ... I'll be back soon and I absolutely recommend it! Vote 12.

Last week my husband and I decided to go to Berlam Bar once again. This time it was to celebrate our 32nd anniversary with a special dinner! Everything was just as we had envisioned - delicious food, superb service, and their very warm, welcoming atmosphere. A big, big thank you to bartender Tommy. He made us feel at home and recommended two lovely Bellinis. He told us that the peach puree is freshly blended and you can tell! We will definitely be back!

The double tree is in the center so everything is within walking distance. Unfortunately there is no hotel car park but 3 minutes away is a nice car park for 15 euros per day. We had a nice room with very good facilities and our fur nose was a very visible guest. The staff was super friendly and you get an adequate breakfast.

Imposing buildings, also got nice rooms, nice views. Nice reception. Ordered breakfast as room service for 2 people, initially not received at all, then without bread, without butter, instead of tomato juice, orange juice, without sugar, brought to tea and coffee. Yogurt and muesli mini portion, milk with mini edition. A total of 40 euros. This type of service doesn't suit this hotel at all. Totally in need of improvement. Still, thanks to the rest of the staff.

The former insurance building in an ideal location for a great stay in Trieste has been fantastically converted into a modern 5-star hotel and opened in early 2020. From the extremely friendly and highly professional reception at the front desk in an impressive setting to the very different rooms for every taste, the hotel always offers a very nice overall experience. The rooms are modern and chic, but still retain their 19th century charm. If you don't live here, you should at least go up the marble hall to the director's floor and have a drink in the Berlam bar. You can walk to all museums and points of interest in a short time and enjoy many relaxed moments in the squares and corners. You can park either conveniently via the hotel's valet parking ( 30/24 h) or in the Giusta car park ( 15). Tip: take the multi-storey car park lift to the very top - you can easily get up to the Castello! Better to run down the stairs through the alleys. The DoubleTree Trieste will be remembered for a long time - a perfect stay!

Very nicely renovated house (former bank), spacious rooms and very friendly and competent staff. A small consolation for motorists: from the parking garage you can easily find the hotel when you leave.

Hotel 4 I stayed for three nights excellent structure staff prepared for the style of the hotel .... I used the Gym room not very large but equipped and a spa where I could really relax the restaurant with a good kitchen overall I was very good c I will come back for sure .... see you soon Hilton.

I wanted to bring my clients for a drink but having my chihuahua with me they didn't let me into the cafeteria.
In 2020 in Trieste I was not able to enter the market with my little dog.
I won't add any more because they comment on their own.

Very nice hotel. The old bar with dark wood is particularly great. The restaurant is excellent for eating. The rooms are also well equipped. We were in the hotel during the Corona period and great care was taken to ensure that all corona measures were observed. We still loved it.

Italian summer with a stop in Trieste. The stay in the hotel was wonderful. Unique location in a historic building former Ras headquarters near the grand canal. Brand new and spacious rooms. Helpful and professional staff. Excellent breakfast. Gym and Spa. In the evening, aperitif and dinner in the beautiful Novecento restaurant (open to the public) which is an indispensable reference in a beautiful city that seems to me to offer little in the way of high-level restaurants. Entering the bar lounge was an almost magical experience, it seemed to me that I was living in another era. The staff, exquisitely kind, has also shown great professionalism in every moment of my stay.

Splendid hotel. The building is amazing from the outside and the inside, the rooms are very clean and perfect. The WiFi is working very well.
Only the breakfast is normal (but maybe this is standard regarding the country) and lower than my expectations. The shower is great. The tea and the coffee are free in the room (3 choices per day), and you have 2 free bottles of water too. The rooms are very quiet, there is no noise inside. The quality of the beds are top. The people working there are top. Very good location, in the center of Trieste. I don t know for the parking.

The rooms are extremely comfortable: the beds and pillows ... SPACIAL.
I also recommend:
1) Excellent bar - You will find competent staff who will offer you a high quality of drinks and cocktails, I recommend a non-alcoholic based on tea and honey ... Yummy, for those who like sweet cocktails ...
2) Excellent restaurant - if you are in a rush, I recommend some sandwiches ... THAT ARE TRULY LUNCH, as well as being VERY GOOD.

Bad appetizer. Very nice place, even if the bar decor is not that great, I expected much more, however, I took some Puccini, terrible, only sweet mandarin juice without perfume and non-existent prosecco, then out of desperation I took a gin and tonic decent and two prosecco, they bring you chips, taralli and something wasabi, we asked for finger food, but it was not known when he opened the kitchen! Then they gave us a fried mozzarella ... boh forget it. I'm sure not a place to drink cocktails, from a bar of a hotel like this I expected the top as in various 5-star hotels in Rome and Milan ... too bad , a big disappointment.

Gorgeous hotel. It is a historic building which has since been renovated. It is located in the center, a few hundred meters from the main square. The rooms are well cared for, quiet, the staff is very kind and attentive. It is highly recommended !!

The rooms are impeccable. We stayed in one of the suites ... what about ... it shone! Extra comfortable beds and pillows (I recovered a week of sleep in three nights), mini bar always stocked with water, coffee, tea and herbal teas ... not to mention the delicious welcome cookies!
Trieste is a wonderful city that lends itself well to trekking excursions or walks to visit the city .. and what more could you ask for after a long walk, if not to return to the hotel and relax at the spa ??? Inside there is a massage area, a sauna, emotional showers and a realx area equipped with hot and cold herbal teas.
The breakfast buffet is varied, well-stocked and tasty, suitable for the needs of adults and children (there are also variables for celiacs).
A special thanks goes to the team of the Berlam bar and to the barman who prepared us some personalized and delicious cocktails! ... And I assure you that they have many other news to offer that I invite you to try, so check the social networks!
Don't be frightened by the external grandeur of the place .. it is much more "approachable" than it seems!

Very nice hotel in the middle of the city center. Staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, breakfast is good and the gym is also perfect. Parking is public for EUR 15,00 only few meters away from hotel. We will come back.

The greeting was very, very warm and extremely friendly.
Very good breakfast, but my wife and I also enjoyed the food at the Belram. Finally we were able to make up for the vacation planned in March, everything was perfect and we will be back.

I only used the bar, spectacular building, nice staff. I lacked a bit of atmosphere without background music and the decor halfway between the classic and the modern. Very nice restaurant.

I called 8 times but nobody answered even though I pressed buttons as the voice guided and it was hung up automatically. Maybe they are enjoying the nap as Italian.

The palace has been beautifully restored. There are some very nice views like the old lift and the library. I visited some rooms which I found tastefully decorated and spacious. I had coffee with pastries and I was very happy. Also recommended for coffee only.
