Great place for family get together and weekend getaway.. Privately maintained place give always a special treatment ... It's easily accessible from Philadelphia or Harrisburg.. I do recommend for summer or fall visits...
Wonderful family oriented activities for everyone...have a great time every time we visit.
A breathtaking diamond resort in the heart of blue mountain perfect for a weekend get away or a weeks' vacation with family and friends. It's a perfect place to rejuvinate and enjoy the amenities, delightful food and the beauty of nature!
The home I stayed in was beautiful. My friends parents bought a home here, and the scenery alone was breath taking. Great facilities to keep yourself and the kids busy, as well as fantastic nature trails.
Stayed at the lodge for a tour. Beautiful views and amazing property. Great place to learn to ski with its private slopes so you don't have to wait in line. Clubhouse restaurant had good value food. Individuals lots and townhomes are good value, but a little far for weekend trips from Toronto. Would love to come back to see the championship golf course. A first rate facility with a very friendly staff. If you're in the area, make sure to check out Martin's!
Love this place:
Amazing ,breath taking views
Great staff
Clean rooms
Things to do for the kids and adults
Nice place to stay, wrong weekend to come up no snow, but great time anyway.
We love Eagle Rock. Our family gets together here every June. Great lake. Great amenities. If you like wildlife, there are deer everywhere. (Being that there is no hunting, you can watch the deer until your heart's content). Highly recommend. We look forward to our Eagle Rock trip every year.
the room is OK, but the stuff are not friendly. It is little confused by the direction map.
A friend that is familiar with Eagle Rock Resorts generously gave us two Gift Cards to introduce us to Eagle Rock Resort Community & its amenities.
We scheduled a dinner at the Clubhouse for Saturday Evening where we had the server verify the amounts on the cards. She returned stating that each had only 1/3 of their value?? We figured, we'd already driven an hour to get there, so we may as well continue with our dinner plans. After a meal for 4 with a few drinks, we went to pay for the meal and included the Gift cards. The server returned now stating one card was indeed its stated value and now used, the other empty. We settled the remainder of our check and took the other card to the Hotel, where our server said things could be straightened out. An associate at the Hotel stated that our second card was never activated, but found our friend's name in the system, that she in fact had a gift card and activated the card.
We returned Sunday Morning for appointments for my mom & I at the Spa, we went to check out & were informed that we could not use our gift card unless the person who's name came up when swiped (Resident/Purchaser) was physically there, some corporate policy that Gift Cards are non-transferable (Not stated on the card we had or the envelopes the cards were in).
Spa Manager was called & would not budge that it's a corporate policy, so I ended up paying for services that were supposed to be a gift!!
Monday, I contacted Corporate Customer Service who confirmed there is a corporate policy for gift cards offered through sales promotions & there's nothing they can do, but I should take it up with the manager at the spa, putting us into a total run around!!!!
How am I supposed to know where my friend received / purchased the card she gave to me as a gift?
What kid of nonsense policy doesn't recognize a gift card that brings additional revenue and recommendations into your establishment?
What poor customer service policies put the customers in such a loop that only builds frustration and contempt?
Unfortunately, I have to return this gift card to my friend and express my disappointment and frustrations with this whole situation. How embarrassing for her that something she gave, in good faith, as a gift for a nice weekend with my family was unable to be utilized.
I have already taken to social media to inform potential customers that Eagle Rock Resorts is not a place they should consider for their vacation rentals or second home purchases. In doing so, I have found many other dissatisfied customers and residents who are already looking to sell their homes.
Based on this experience, I never will return or recommend anything to do with Eagle Rock Resort.
There are far better resorts in the Poconos and Blue Mountains in areas that have better and broader variety of amenities available, don't try to put you in a customer service nightmare, and are much friendlier.
Was invited to golf as a guest and was blown away by the facilities and grounds. Driving up you see the beautiful houses and the well kept areas. Upon arriving at the clubhouse, you are greeted by gentleman who help grab your bags and answer any questions you have. The clubhouse is gorgeous with a restaurant, bar and pro shop along with a porch area with great views. The course itself is challenging as you are playing through the woods with many trees and rocks, but it is a gorgeous setting, especially in August/September as the leaves change! Whether you are able to visit as a guest or planning to become a member I highly recommend Eagle Rock!
Unfortunately not a good place to live. Prices of homes have decreased. The double diamond corporation does not have consideration for homeowners.
We stayed in the Lodge which had very nice rooms especially for the Poconos. The resort had a small ski area which was pretty much empty when we were there on the holiday weekend. I can't cant comment on the skiing since we decided to go to Camelback, which was on the way home.
It does seem like the resort has a lot of activities but they seem geared toward the resort's home owners. The actual lodge was different than most that I have been to. The clubhouse with restaurant, the spa, the fitness center, bar, etc. were all in separate buildings that had to be driven to (10 degrees at the time so I was not making a long walk). The restaurant was very slow but that is typical for this area so I didn't mind. For some reason the resort was completely empty and this was over a holiday weekend.
The staff was not rude at all like some reviews I have read about this place, but also the experience was a bit odd. The place is a huge area of land with everything scattered all over and not well marked. When we arrived to check-in the only thing we were told was "you have room 227". Normally you get more information than that or are at least told where the room is or asked how your trip was! For me, this just contributed to the desolate feeling of this place as we had to figure out the whole layout ourselves. I wouldn't go back but I can understand how others might like the place or how it might have a different feel in the summer. Maybe I hit an off time.
Staff couldn't be nicer.. Justin the manager of the clubhouse couldn't have been more accommodating ... hotel was beautiful... amenities are very nice and very well kept... Golf course is pristine and immaculately kept... what a great weekend we had here...
A lot of things to do. A lot of peaceful nature. Very safe.
Nice place to escape to and relax. Only 2 hour drive from New York City. Far enough to be away but close enough to get back home in time. Beautiful to see during the changing seasons.
Love the lake in the summer and tubing in the winter
Amazing day of Golf, great hospitality by all at the pro shop
We are property owners here and every time we go for a visit we love the serenity of Eaglerock more and more. The food is always great and so are the employees there.
Two visits and I can't just get enough. The serene lakes take your breath away. The freshness of the air in woods, a deer hops by. Picturesque views across the ridges and exquisite accommodation in hotels or private homes. Ride a horse, take a canoe, wanna swim? bask in the beach? ski down the 14 slopes? bonfire at base camp? spa? 18 holes of golf, or just lounge and stuff yourself with good food? Its all there, a perfect getaway with possible investment options in the holiday home you keep dreaming of!
A nice stop when you are going to New York. A peacefull place complete with amenities. It comes with an indoor and an outdoor pools that the children will enjoy, a golf course for the oldies or retired people but for young generations too, a mini store for all your golfing needs, mini restaurant when you got hungry and a skiing area that sports people will enjoy during winter. They have an ample parking space too. They have a clubhouse that can be rented for any occassions like wedding, birthdays, baptismal or any events or gatherings. This resort comes with 2 mini beaches that your family will enjoy during the summer season. Abl - 2020-01-24
Great resort with a nice location, ski and many activities. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the lodge is beautiful. Definitely worth going to.
Very relaxing and serene. Nice 2 bedroom condos and spacious grounds and available activities. Good restaurant, service and housekeeping.
They cold call people to offer something if they get a referral, waste time of time
I have property there and everything is free when you own a lot!!! Great activities and fun weekend getaway
The area is absolutely breathtaking. My family and I had a great time at the Equestrian Center and the food at the clubhouse was excellent. The resort is definitely not for families looking to relax at the spa or receive 5-star customer service. The resort is really better for those who own their own houses in the acre lots and are looking to ski or golf (using their own equipment). The customer service at the Activity Center and clubhouse was awful. One employee named Dorothy told our family "I'm leaving now. I'm done working. Look, I've been on a 9-hour shift so I'm done working" after we asked for directions to the Equestrian Center. At the clubhouse, the seating hostess was very rude and was not even present for an hour. We were exploring the golf course and had to go into the kitchen to look for her and found her texting and chatting with the staff.
To make the most of your experience, it's best to stay in your own private property within the resort and to not expect anything from the staff.
So many activities for family. The kids loved it. We did boat rides, game room, pony rides, walked their trails, swam at the pool (they have indoor and outdoor), had ice cream at their ice cream place, etc! Great place to get away from the craziness.
Beautiful hidden away place, however you have to be a member or a guest of a member to enjoy.
SKIING IS CLOSED 2018!!
When will skiing be open again!!
This place is EPIC. My relatives live here, and when we visit, I FEEL EPIC. Totally the place to live and visit.
I was only there to visit someone's home so I can't say much about the resort, but the security was very friendly and helpful and the area seemed very nice
The grounds and scenery are top notch especially the golf course. The "five star" lodge rooms were just ok. The bed sunk in the middle and needs a new mattress. No microwave in the room and the TV should be upgraded to a larger size.
The room safe was not operational and the front desk clerk said she couldn't do anything about that.
The sales pitch was not high pressure but they advertised a free Callaway driver and gave me a coupon (that has to be used online) for one instead. That was disappointing because now I'll have to pay tax and shipping to get the "free" Callaway driver. All in all it was not a great experience but not bad either. Just don't expect a five star accommodation and don't expect to be handed a Callaway driver on your way out.
I should mention the food and service at the clubhouse was good.
Got to stay at the resort for free for two nights for a tour around the area including free food and a free visit to the Kalahari Waterpark. They also let us stay in a huge house for a rental that could easily fit 3 families. The area was great because there was so much to do there such as visit the beach, kyack, horseback ride, ski, golf, basketball, volleyball, and more. There are many workers around the area to accommodate things for you if you need them, and the workers were always nice and caring. Most of the activities there are free, but If you did need to pay for any activity while you were at the resort, it was a very fair price. The downside and upside of this resort is that it was private. Not anyone is allowed in unless you know someone who owns land in the area or own land yourself. This means that many of the activities you try to partake in are not very crowded, but also means your not allowed in without any sort of affiliation with the residents. However I could be wrong and there may be a way you can get in without such affiliations. Overall my experience in the area was great and there were many thing to do that never kept me bored. I would recommend this place to anyone who has the ability to visit it
I am writing this review while sitting on the deck in my spa robe, taking in the majestic mountain/lake view! This place is spectacular... it shows exactly as it is presented in the websites photos. The location is within a gated community with beautiful homes, the lodge is nestled against the countryside and I am truly in heaven right now. There are tons of free and exiting activities on grounds including kayaking, paddle boats, multiple pools, private lake, etc. Or if you are here on a romantic getaway such as myself, you can take in the fabulous cuisine in the clubhouse restaurant, get spa services, and drink wine while watching the sunset over the mountains.
I know 5 year olds with better people skills then the people working there do not recommend anybody buy property or vacation there
We took some guests to the Clubhouse Restaurant, and ate in the bar area. Service was good, appetizers, especially the tuna, were great. Dinners were very good. I would definitely recommend to others.
We always have a spectacular time here. From golf, tennis, horseback, hiking, swimming at the lake and pools, having a spa treatment, or dinner with drinks at the clubhouse, I'm always at a loss for time to do everything. I love skiing here too.. no crowds. This place is classy.
The place is wonderful and making appointments was easy. The staff was very accommodating
We did the 1 day tour thing, and the resort itself seems nice enough. My problem is the never-ending hard sell at the end of the day on a barren lot. We told our salesman that we were willing to pay MORE $$$ for a better lot (we would like, you know, trees around a lot), but he would not give up for 30 mins. We he finally realized that we were not going to buy this lot, he couldn't get us out of the office fast enough.
My wife and I subsequently called and wrote letters back trying to plead to someone with common sense that we would like to come back and look at better and more expensive lots, but no one has gotten back to us. WTF?
Beautiful resort! We purchased property a few years ago and had a very positive experience with the process and now enjoy weekend getaways here snowboarding, swimming, horse back riding and kayaking. Golf course is awesome and the views are beautiful. We have had many friends and families join us for the referral package and tour and all have had a great experience as well.
I found out that during this time of covid they do not wash the comforter that goes on the beds! For what we had to pay to stay here this was highly disturbing to me and my family. Shame on you all. It was lovely other wise. But next time we will be staying at our families house instead of the inn.
This place was hard to find - we went to 3 buildings and were handed 2 maps before getting to our room. The carpet was damp, there were bugs everywhere and there was nothing to separate it from a discount motel. We were promised three beds and the room had one plus an old pull-out. I have to say that everyone was nice and the surroundings were lovely, but that's not what I needed.
Accommodation was great. Went skiing with a bunch of friends (First time skiing). Ski instructors were super helpful but I guess that;s their job since we paid for the lesson...lol
The resort is well-kept. People respect your privacy - they smile and greet you, and would just mind their own business. Very peaceful community.
Great staff beautiful place and scenery. Great for a weddings....
Beautiful, peaceful, and full of family fun. Great place for a get together.
the worst place to buy a property and the worst people to deal with they never return your call after you get convince in buying the property. Don't get lured with their giveaways all you get is frustration and mishaps.
We enjoy going to eagle rock, play at the activity center, relax at the aquatic center, get a massage at the SPA and Dine at the Clubhouse! % FUN!
Eagle Rock has something for everyone. Pictures don't tell half the story. Come to this beautiful slice of heaven and see for yourself. Golf, ski, hike, or just relax.
Upscale resort community with 2 golf courses and lots of amenities
We stayed at private residence. Was nice and good for overnight stay
Received multiple harrassing phone calls from a booking agent and after stating to her that she had the wrong number, she then accused me of lying and rudely hung up the phone on me. You guys need to do better than this!
Nice staff, although uncaring. Seen Cockroaches . WANT but don't pay & lie.
