Best vegan restaurant ever! The food here is amazing. I bring meat eaters here and they love it too. My favorite is the fried chicken basket

I tried only the fried avocado and it was good, I did think it was a bit pricey for a fried Avocado, but I did enjoy it

I am not Vegan or vegetarian. Loved the food. I had the "shrimp" appetizer and the poor boy. I added Buffalo sauce and ranch the my poor boy and it was outstanding. Animal fries also rocked. Tried my wife's burger, and it was great. Love the local ambiance, great music.

I feel it delvers exactly what it says it will. The breading on the fried chicken was really crispy and seasoned and the mac n cheese is reminiscent of KFC.

Definitely home cooking food. I felt very comfortable but kind of expensive for the quality, quantity and decor of the place. A regular veggie burger with vegan chili and fries were 13 dollars.

The food is amazing and delicious. Friendly customer service. The food arrives fast and hot off the grill. What is there not to love? The best part is that everything is Vegan.

I come here every time I visit Hollywood!!! Best vegan burgers!! The Philly cheese steak was a little small... Get the big Mac with the crispy chicken patties and some cheese and bacon on your fries! Its 18$ but you will def have leftovers or cut it in half and split it! I also love the taco salad bowl and its gigantic! They play great music too! Service is good, my water was never chillin empty!

This place had been on my food bucket list, so I drove 12 miles after a 40-hr work week only to be disappointed by a very dry veggie burger that did not come with a side of house sauce as indicated by the cashier.

My friends and i went on a road trip and this place was on the top of our list and it was not a disappointment! i had the Memphis burger and bacon cheese fries and they freaking aced pulled pork! Thats coming from a girl born and raised in Nashville. If i m ever back in LA this is my first stop! Oh! and get the bacon cheese fries! that bacon changed my life dude

The outside and surrounding area is a turn off but the food was delicious and worth a visit. They have a fabulous peanut butter brownie. I also had the Western Burger and garlic fries which was wonderful.

4 of us went to Doomie's today to celebrate 2 birthdays. It took a long time to decide what to order because they have a good menu. We ended up with the Double D Burger, Fried Chicken Dinner, Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger and Chili Cheese Fries. Oh, and I got a Chocolate Shake, which was excellent.

Everything was good. I need to go back and get that chicken. It was amazing.

I mentioned that it was my granddaughter's birthday and they brought her an order of Fried Oreos.

I highly recommend Doomie's if you like good vegan food. Great food and great service.

I was so excited to try this place! Unfortunately my food was just really oily and the fried chicken was dry. the garlic fries were cold. The food was really expensive too but I wouldn t have minded if it was worth it, it wasn t. Hours later I feel really sick and can t stop drinking water. Only good thing I ordered was the chocolate shake! Don t recommend this place sadly.

This is by far the best vegan food I have ever had and some of the best food I have ever tasted regardless of vegan or non-vegan food.

The customer service is amazing and I would recommend Doomie's, a great overall experience!

So so so so so so so so good. The fried chicken tastes like fried chicken, believe it or not. The Mac and cheese tastes like Mac and cheese, believe it or not. I'll definitely be here again.

This is the fried chicken I ve been looking for since I last ate meat 12 years ago! Chicken nuggets were my biggest guilty pleasure as I was quitting meat, and I ve been looking for more vegan restaurants lately because I m making the shift from vegetarian and this restaurant definitely makes up for those cravings I ve had!

I called to order a cake for my birthday. Before I could even finish asking "Do you sell whole cakes or by the slice only," the girl who answered the phone interrupted me to say "no," but then said it would take 3 days notice. So, to sum up, they won't let you order a cake that takes maybe 2 hours to prep and bake if you don't give 3 days notice. To me it sounded like they didn't want to make a cake. All I wanted was a vegan cake to share with my friends on my birthday and now I can't have a cake for my birthday. Sorry to bother you. I guess I will give my business to someone else who won't be so dismissive of someone who wants to be a customer.

As a native philadelphian I find this a complete disgrace to the Philly cheese steak. garlic fries were okay though.
For some reason I didn't get ketchup with my order. And cheese steaks are not served in hot dog buns, Hollywood

Is it late and you're hungry yet again? This is a familiar situation for me. For late night second dinners, Doomie's is my go to. Never fails to deliver what you wish your parents were cooking at home. Doomie's split into home cooking and next mex. I haven't tried next mex yet so this is just for home. Their burgers are vegan junk food delicious. I got the bacon burger which is superb. The bacon blows my mind - it's tasty and crispy! Don't fool yourself like it did though and think you should get anything other than the animal fries though. And yes, you want the fun fries. The pesto fries aren't bad - but they're definitely not as good as the animal fries. Do yourself a favor for second dinner and get em.

This place is perfect for vegan comfort / junk food. Our favs are the fried avocado, nachos, chickn strip basket & chop salad. They have the BEST vegan baker to date - all their desserts are super delicious! The cheesecake is insane!

The ONLY negative doesn t have to do with them but with the rip-off valet service that appears at 5:45pm for the small plaza lot. At $8.50 to park, its currently the only reason why I don t go there more often. UPDATE: 2019 valet prices is $12! They set up at 6pm on Fridays, Saturdays & Mondays. Avoid this rip-off valet.

I had vegan mac and cheese, which was good, I would have given 5 stars if not for how pricey it all was for what we were eating.

Amazing crispy chicken tastes like real meat from KFC... The Mexican food however was super greasy and oily and made me peuk although the servers were Amazingly nice

This food is nothing short of spectacular. The Buffalo wings were awesome, and the burgers and chili cheese fries were incredible. It is pricy but well worth it in my opinion. This is next level food whether you're vegan or not! Nice portion sizes as well. Highly recommend!

Not too bad, but felt they could improve. Bread was burnt on both burgers and the "cheese" was burnt also. Fries were pretty good.

Food was great! Can't wait to go back. I had the flauta combo plate + 1carne asada taco, Chile relleno. All of it was sooo really good.

I should of asked what the base was for the fried chicken. It s soy based and when I took a bite it was like biting into a block of tofu covered with crispy batter. The Mac and cheese was also very flavorless. Never have I ever paid for a meal where I take a bite and just walk away leaving the plate full of food. I wanted to like this place. Unfortunately just not the case for eating blocks of soy.

This place is incredibly unique. This is for ethical vegans or those who don't always care about eating healthy. There is real soda, fried foods, and otherwise comfort food, all vegan and delicious. Highly recommend this place.

As a meat eater, I really enjoyed the food here! The chicken sandwich had amazing texture and crunch to it! The animal style fries had an AMAZING Smokey flavor to them! Finally found a place that uses enough garlic on their garlic fries too. I was really impressed with the selection of options on the menu as well as in the deserts case.

The price point is about $15 on average for a plate. There's dedicated free parking outside as well.

Looking to get thicc? Disappointed that every vegan option elsewhere is a side salad? LOOK NO FURTHER-- seriously consider smoking green beforehand to maximize on the all the options!! I never leave in less than 3 courses.
PS they have a vegan texmex place as well (located literally next door)

Yo. This place has the best vegan chicken I ve ever had. No joke. If you re reading this and debating whether or not to go, what are you waiting for??? The line is out the door! Go get some fried chicken and sides! You can thank me later.

It's what I'd call a vegan dinner. Food is really great.

Food was okay. Fries were really good. The chicken was surprisingly close to the real thing texture wise. The spicy chicken sandwich I got wasn't really spicy and the pattie was super greasy, kind of upsetting to my stomach. However, the customer service was great and my waiter was very professional and nice. I'll try a different entree next time and see if I like it.

The Delicious special sauce that comes on the fun fries was most memorable for me.

The jalapeno poppers were really good as well. Don't forget to hit up the place next door for some vegan Mexican options as well!

The deal was good compared to other vegan burger joints in 2019, due to the addition of a generous amount of fries. The burgers were ok by me (wife felt otherwise). However, fries were cold. Thankfully the friendly waitress brought us out new fries that were hot this time.

Came here the other night and I was beyond surprised at just how much I enjoyed the food. I recently went vegetarian and had figured that I would never have a great burger again (rip. In-N-Out), but Monty's proved me completely wrong and made me genuinely excited for a future of good burgers.

Delicious corn cakes and drinks in a gorgeous setting that offers indoor and outdoor seating. The cooks and qualified bartenders do their work well. This is much better than Belga which used to be here.

I could see how someone might want to eat doomies every now and again if your vegan and craving something heavy but for us the food was very greasy, heavy and didn t well. The staff is always nice though.

I was excited to try this new spot and it did not disappoint.

I love it here! I got the Peanut Butter & Bacon Burger & it was just sooo good!! If you love peanut butter & vegan burgers then this is the perfect choice for you. The fries tasted amazing as well, & our waitress was very attentive & nice. Can't wait to come back again & try more things!

The shrimp, the three piece chicken dinner and philly cheesesteak was amazing. The food is delicious too

The food was pretty good But they don't tell you that most of their entrees are made with Tofu. This should be stated on the menu or at least verbally.
I can't eat Tofu and currently reports on it aren't good so I'm staying away from eating Tofu.
The French waiter (can't remember his name)was excellent!!! He went above and beyond!
Aside from the one issue, I enjoyed the food and ambiance!

First off, I didn't get the best photos, but hopefully you get the general idea. There is a glare specifically over one of the menu items I have posted called the 'Mac Melt'.
It's a burger on toast, covered in Mac & Cheese. It's worth noting that the burger can be picked up without the mac & cheese immediately destroying the bread.
The Chicken Fingers were (of course) not chicken nor did they even come close to some of the other faux chicken tenders, BUT they were breaded in panko and pretty solid.
To me they tasted more like Tempeh or Seitan and I love both of those substitutes.
We had different types of fries, one was 'Chili Cheese' & I forgot the other (huge help, I know).
The food makes you feel like you aren't missing out on anything . I would definitely eat here again. It's quick, creative & tasty.
Even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan, the concept may appeal to you.

Love this spot, great for plant based and meat eaters alike. No one would ever guess this food was vegan. Not a 'healthy' vegan spot, this is where you come to splurge on some delicious fried vegan junk food.

Who, what, where...and why was there an overdose of soy sauce or braggs' on my classic cheeseburger that was charred black on one side. Could not finish it at all. Very disappointed....at Fatburgers and very happy with my impossible .

Lets be honest. I love this place, I come here often and enjoy the very healthy food options. Today my server asked us to think about our life goals which I liked quite a bit. They have amazing food and amazing juices and alcoholic beverages. This place is definitely a go to in LA.

This is a vegan paradise for flavors you probably haven't experienced in a long time. My family of three got the BLAT with bacon cheese fries, the Mac stuffed burger with animal fries and the Philly cheese steak with plain fries. I didn't get to try the BLAT because my daughter ate it so fast. But my s.o and I inevitably decided to share our food to taste more. Leftovers happened. not because I wanted leftovers but because the portions are generous.
Honestly my favorite part was the ranch but that says more about me than the restaurant. Lol
Very well dressed crowd in the restaurant, I must say. Relaxed atmosphere. A vegan ice cream shop basically next door AND the nexmex restaurant next door. I showed up after 11pm and the place was pretty full with people eating but no line and fast service. Good impression of my first time adulting in Hollywood. 10/10 will definitely recommend.

This place was great. A vegan soul food restaurant right next to a vegan Mexican food restaurant. It's genius and fantastic. The food is absolutely delicious and excellently authentic. The vegan fried chicken melted in my mouth and I ate a mountain of Mexican food. I Loved it.

This place is magical. Their fried avocado is finger lickin' good.

Awesome 100% vegan eatery. We tried the poppers, garlic fries, Buffalo fries, Shrimp po boy and the Memphis burger. All we're spectacularly tasty and very filling. We finished the meal off with my first vegan Creme brulee!!! We will be going back without a doubt. It is in a great location only a few blocks from Hollywood Blvd and has a great quaint atmosphere.

Duuuude! Amazing vegan food! Wish we had a Doomies in UT. The service was great. Friendly atmosphere. And the food!!!! Delicious. Had the "chicken" parmesan and was blown away by how great the texture of said chicken was.

Food was tasty. Got the BBQ pulled pork, sauce was really good. They put too much on though. Also got the western bacon cheeseburger, it was pretty good. The fries were great. Server was friendly and honest about selections. Nothing bad, but if he hadn't tried something, he stated that.
I like that better than hearing everything is fantastic. Really wanted to try the philly cheesesteak, but they were out. All the selections are vegan, but hard to tell.
I'll go back again.

Great place that suffers from a lack of marketing. Slightly pricy but well worth it if you are vegan. I am not but open to new things and thoroughly enjoyed it. Give it a shot!

This is solid, sturdy, home-style vegan food. The mac and cheese feels super expensive, but they give you a pretty substantial quantity. The real standout here is the baker. They have this fluffy white caramel cake that slays me. Like favorite vegan cake on the planet kind of slays me, and I know a thing or two about a vegan cake! Get it! Or don't so there will be more left for me!! This cake has been my birthday cake more than one year in a row and it's worth the crazy price tag! The butterscotch Blondie and the brownie are also fantastic.

OK place. . The food taste's good but pricey, is vegan and full of chemicals. Service was good even though only one person seemed to be managing everything. Fried Oreo's took forever to come!

Excellent restaurant with delicious burgers, sandwiches, fries and entrees. As my first time visiting this place I ordered what sounded as the safest burger to order which was the Classic Cheeseburger. It only took me one bite to fall in love with this burger. My brother ordered the P & J burger and it is amazing. I ordered the carrot cake for dessert, it is delicious.

Not thrilled with the regular food they offer but I'm not a big fast food fan- lots of fried stuff and soy based things with not enough healthy options. I do love the plethora of deserts they offer I have tried a few- the cakes are delish- the cream filling or frosting is a little lacking in flavor but the texture is spot on. The key line was lovely- a little sour. Best substitute I've found that doesn't kill my stomach like dairy and the guilt of killing animals.

Food is good, staff are very accommodating and friendly.

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF EVEN TASTING THE FOOD HERE, YOU WILL LEAVE ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED.

First of all, we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. That should've been the first red flag in a series of negative occurrences due to the fact that two outside tables were unoccupied and the hostess did not take action in sitting us. After we ordered, we were majorly let down by our mac n' cheese which DID NOT taste a bit like cheese at all. The bacon cheeseburger we ordered was dripping with oil literally everywhere, same with the basket of chicken we asked for, and the fries we were provided. The water cups we were served were disposable...what kind of a vegan restaurant provides customers with disposable cups knowing perfectly that they contribute to such a vast amount of waste? Add to this terrible experience the serving/waiting we had to deal with: our waitress would go to the opposite side of the restaurant to ask a couple if everything was ok and not once did she bother to do the same with us. I had to call her attention more than twice to ask for condiments, more water, and utensils. To top it all off, we witnessed one of the "chefs" come out of the restaurant, wearing a stained white shirt with an apron, sweats, and crocs to go smoke a cigarette no more than 10 feet away from us. It was a nauseating and disrespectful sight. As a side note, all the waitresses would leave the restaurant to go off to other places or to their cars very constantly.

All in all, this was the WORST visit we've had at a "vegan" restaurant. This place is essentially a disgusting burger joint turned plant-based. It really gives a bad name to the vegan fast-food/restaurant lifestyle that's been coming out so strong recently to convince folks to eat in a better way while not harming animals and the environment. I personally do not know why this place has gotten so much local media attention because it is by the far at the very bottom in every single aspect imaginable. I PLEASE BEG YOU not to waste a single penny on this horrible GREASEBALL excuse of a "vegan" restaurant.

i can't swear on this but there would be a lot of explatives of wow coming from me. i came in knowing it was a vegan place but i have had great tasting vegan food so wasnt going to assume anything. i had my friend order for us since she knew the place and she got a burger (the "big D") that when it came out, looked a lot like what the big mac should look like. she ordered a philly cheese (no cool name) and again, looked as it should...but the taste....wow! i forgot for a second it was vegan, and i really didnt care. The burger has flame-broiled flavor like bbq sauce would give, but subtle. the sauce, the onions and lettuce and the classic almost falling apart bun cauae thats what is supposed to happen! the philly was just as great with flavor that again, was hard to distinct from the real. sure, was i think 35 for both our meal (with fries) but when something is done right, its worth the price.

Bluff vegetarians who speak badly of this place, in my opinion, are just not getting it. A casual place where you can have a vegetarian meal, that tastes like regular food is absolutely welcome in my book anytime. Service and prices are pretty good. Highly recommended for open minded vegetarians, casual ones like me, and even those who have never tried it. Chilli and chicken are great.

This location costs $12 for parking on some days though (Sat.s might be one of them).
This location is hot too since it has no A/C.

This is more like unhealthy vegan junk food. But don't sleep on its quality, it hits the mark every time and I plan to go back for my fourth visit. I highly recommend this place especially as a new found vegan. I even bought friends that weren't vegans and they loved everything thought they had. I personally would recommend the chicken sandwich.

Disgusting oily food with little to no flavor and the restaurant just looks dirty the glass for the dessert fridge was grimy and the floor was covered in dark spots and the bathrooms are nasty aswell I honestly dont know how this place is open still the food was served like warm and overly salted and extremely oily not with the trip or price. Highly recommend staying away.

Well, the "famous" mac and cheese tasted like i was eating air. It had no flavour whatsoever. I even ordered one with extra cheese in hope it would be creamier and tastier, but it wasn't. The sloppy joe was not how i remembered it as a kid like it says in the menu. The filling was way too sweet, if you're going to put sugar in your bread buns then don't make your fillings sweet too. In saying that, the fries were nice and the waitress was friendly :)

Fried Avocado and Mac and cheese are bomb!! All vegan!

The food was okay. It was not fresh or flavorful... I anticipated more flavor given the high reviews. I also anticipated some type of entrees (mac and cheese, pasta, maybe a salad) and less fast food items (i.e.- sandwiches, burgers, and fries... which was the entire menu). The food was a little pricey for what it was... $8 chilli cheese fries, $13.50 sandwich with fries.

The lighting was poor and it did not seem clean though I do believe it had a good health grade. I had high hopes but I could've bypassed this for a Veggie Grill... it's a little cheaper and it's clean and well lit.

Great food. My vegetarian friend wanted to try the place, so I went with him. We both had the Spicy Chicken Burger and it was great. It tasted like real chicken which surprised me considering it was a vegan patty. The service was quite slow though, which is why I am giving this 4 star review. In addition, the food is excessively oily, which could turn some people off. Howver, overall, I would recommend.

Food was great! Doomies had a variety of vegan comfort food that I really enjoyed. Their sister resturant Next Mex was also amazing!! I
would suggest trying the loaded fries and or the Taco Combo

Delicious! Had the crispy chicken sandwich with garlic fries and also tasted the Western BBQ burger and bacon cheese fries. Both were amazing. As a fairly new vegetarian (mostly vegan) it was great to enjoy that "fast food/ diner" taste that I havent had in a while. I'll be back!!

Their crispy chicken sandwich and animal fries are delicious and so is their creme brulee and german chocolate cake! If you are new to this restaurant I definitely recommend it!

Unapologetically greasy vegetarian fare. Some of the best veggie fried chicken around. Veggie bacon is a nice, if salty, topping for burgers and sandwiches. Nothing here is healthy, but if you want meat alternatives that give a decent approximation this is a good place.

My family and I decided to quit complaining about how greasy the food is and just enjoy it. We just keep going back anyway. This is vegan junk food at its best. I wish they would bring back their comfort food, i.e. pot roast, mashed potatoes and fried chicken, but they're not their best sellers and time consuming to make. I highly recommend .....uh, everything. YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR BIG MAC (Not on the menu)

VEGAN PHILLYCHEESESTEAK AND BACON CHEESE FRIES- Vegan right? LIKE Vegan bacon? Come on VEGAN are taking over. This meal was pricy $23, filling cheesesteak is bout 8in. Taste is REALLY GOOD

Food is great! Great place to take people who aren't vegan, too! Get there early- there's usually a line right before opening and they don't take reservations.

Had the chicken parm sandwich and it was amazing. My wife had the mac n cheese patty melt and loved it. Wish I could try more stuff here but we are only here for a day. Staff was friendly and attentive!
