Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club Review

The food is mediocre, and it took an hour to make the food. I think that Dooley's is going on a downhill ride.

Family Friendly Club. Good varied menu with quite a good wine and beer selection.
Something for everyone here.
Lots of parking too.

Out of all the rsl, labour clubs I've been too. Dooley's is definitely one of the one you should go and get a membership. They have wide variety of food for you to try and the discount after getting the membership is worth it.

It's a very friendly club and extremely family orientated. The staff are wonderful. The service is good and the meals are excellent.

Modern ambient and old style musicate good balanced. Clean, well organized club.

Great place for a meal before a concert at Qudos. Lots of parking & easy walk to station.

Class level aroma around.. Worth being a member and awesome facilities.

One of the fancier clubs. Expect higher price dining and coffee than your usual club prices.

One of our meals took waaaaay too long to arrive but the food was great. (Vincents)

Good place for meeting, enjoying chatting.
Variaties of food. A bit over crowded.
Parkig is a bit difficult.

Security guards seem like they do not know what they are doing.

The clubs seems to be huge but there is not many pokie machine. The place for it is just to small.

Its ok to as a place to hang but the food isnt great and a bit overpriced for what you get

More machines needs to be added in no smoking area. Sicbo game should be included that's one of the favorite game for many

Prices are too high..especially for the roast of the day which in the end was not pleasing. Queue for drinks was slow and service was not crash hot. After we purchased our dinner they then suggested becoming a member to get a members More

The Vietnamese restaurant in here is cheap and cheerful, and we've been there a number of times. It's good, but we've recently decided to check out the bistro and it did not disappoint. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. The service through the whole establishment is also nice and friendly. Pleasantly surprised.

Decent food but you need to be a member, or you wont get the discount. Without the discount, everything is pretty expensive.

One of the main lobby staff were too rude. I ve been visiting Dooley club since 2011 when I moved this area. The Vietnamese restaurant second floor and bistro serves good food and service. It is definitely one of my favourite places for dine in with families. I noticed that from couple of years ago there was one guy staff at front door(I don t know if he s security guard or receptionist) is really rude to talk to people, but it didn t stop me to revisit, because beside that all are so nice.

Today I had lunch with my partner here again. And we saw that not kind staff . As I am member but not my partner, my partner need to sign in as my guest. It looks like he even doesn t know what is manner. We greeted him, he ignored us. Okay we understand everyone may have one of the days. But I can t believe that how rude he was following. He only said who s member? Sign for sign my partner in. And the rude way he said sign makes me writing first ever review here. I am wondering if he doesn t know the words please and thank you exist.

Being busy i don t think it s an excuse. You have a job to do and you re providing a service and charge $33 for a T-bone steak. I ordered a meal and never came. Had to remind them about 1 hour later. Watched all my friends eat in the meantime. So they just re cooked it. God knows what happened to my original meal. Pathetic. The food wasn t really with the price. I ve eaten better

Also a fantastic place to catch up with friends & family. Plenty of seating to eat & to have tea / coffee / cake / drinks / lounging.

A pleasant place to hang out. Comfy spaces to lounge with a variety of food choices. Easy access by train.

Come here to experience unpleasant, lousy customer service and crappy coffee.

It was a nice and quiet place to be and also good for a date

Waited 40 minutes for Lamb Souvlaki and when it did arrive, it was very small and overcooked. Very dissapointed in the whole experience!!

You would be taking a risk in the gaming area during the covid pandemic. The machines are constantly shared use and there is no fresh air. Guests can spread infection through the air con by breathing, sneezing and coughing. Asymptomatic staff could come to work and spread disease.

14 Aug 2020 update: My prediction has been verified by NSW Health, an employee at Dooley's has contracted covid. Re-opening the club and gym is a public hazard.

Great selection of food and drinks. The workers are all exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Made me feel very welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. Took out member ship. Gave me $20 instantly for my birthday. Excellent wines and offers free coffee in gaming room. Really worth 10 star. Excellent staff who really cared and went out if their way. They made you feel wanted.

Covid standards are excellent here and food is quite good.

I've been going to John Street cafe for year, generally because of it's convenience. The food is okay (albeit overpriced for what you get) and they coffee is okay. Staff are always very friendly, and the large cafe space means you have some space to yourself. There is something about it that makes me go back, and I would say it's probably the space.

Shame to have removed the vegie burger from the menu, and to remove the halloumi cheese from the vegie stack. You once really catered for all vegetarians. Also .... why dump the lousy roast beef on top of the vegetables. Makes it look bigger, but awful difficult to eat !

Their pho used to taste much better but something has definitely changed and the broth has become more bland and not as flavourful
