Disgraceful company! I wish I had read these reviews before having anything to do with them. We leased a commercial property from them and got completely stitched up. They do not care at all for the tenants or property owner. It's all about how much money they can scam from you. We were new to commercial property leasing so partly our fault for not reading the fine print. We were not told about a second electricity connection at the property and to this day are still paying off a $4,000 electricity bill that had accumulated. We tried to take it up with the agent however they were not interested. Our business was suffering so we had to break the lease early. We put potential new tenants forward to the agent numerous times after getting the go ahead to do so. They only put one forward to the the property owner. One potential tenant contacted them to apply for the property and were directed to another property instead. All this time we were still paying the lease which was killing us financially. To get out of the lease we covered all the costs of advertising, new Disclosure Statement etc. Which was only fair since it was our doing. However the agent then slapped on another months lease fees for his services, whatever they were. So on top of everything we had to pay another $1,520 just because they could do that. Stay away from this toxic agent. They do not give a damn about people.

Place we stayed at was nice. Though when we returned the keys, the staff were so rude and had no manners. Probably would recommend booking through airbnb or something similar as hosts are usually much nicer.

As a landlord, my experience with this letting agent was unsatisfactory.
Inspection reports didn't indicate the filthy mess this unit was in and the newish oven had never been cleaned or inspected.

I have contacted this agency on 5 occasions (three times by phone and twice by email) about properties listed on their website for rent. The staff are continually abrupt and rude (particularly one member of staff). In addition, they do not return phone calls and never reply to online inquiries. Very disappointed.

This real estate company completely ruined our holidays. We arrived to a pre-paid, pre-booked holiday house and the passcode to enter did not work. Telephoned them to sort it out and we could not get any response at all. The time was about 6pm at night and we had no-where to stay and no way to get into the house! We ended up paying for completely substandard cabin accommodation in a local caravan park and expected a refund from Dodd and Rage but instead, they refused outright and then the next day demanded we pay for a weekend call-out to open the property!!
They lie, cheat and scam their way into your wallets. 2% credit card fees but they won't accept cash, fees to issue a cheque to return the departure guarantee and they lied about mess in the house and tried to keep our guarantee. We had to threaten them with Fair Trade and lawyers to get 90% of our money back and lost the $40 booking fee. How they keep their license is beyond us, a completely horrible debacle. Do not use this company do not even ask them for directions, they'll demand cash payment up front.

This business should not exist they pretty much have 90% of rental properties around Victor harbour and have turned into short term accommodation. A bunch of parasites

Our experience was not one we would like to repeat .
BBQ found dirty.and dangerous to light
Mattresses were thin and limp .
1/2 a toilet roll in each toilet
2nd toilet would jam regularly.
we couldn t even use the house bins and expected to transport rubbish to the office with no garbage bag supplied
Garden was shabby and uncared for
Air bnb for us next time .

100% pure rip off merchants.. read there terms and conditions.. they are the most ridiculous of all. I got a call 4 days after our stay with all these allegations and extra fees we should pay.. read the other reviews. There is no doubt in our minds.. These guys are out to screw you after your stay. Instead of apologising for the washining machine, microwave and hot water service not working and having to buy new ones on our arrival and compensating for the inconvenience they try to slap extra fees for the cleaner that wasn't our doing.the phone call filled with blame caused a heated discussion and we feel these accusations were empty and a pure act to create more fees out of thin air..we will never holiday with Dodd and page port Elliot/ Middleton again and we highly recommend you consider it also or be prepared to do strange things which are outlined in their terms and conditions.. I have a lot of words I can use but I have said enough.. Don't trust this business. They are not worth dealing with.. learn from other people's experiences. I wish I had read these reviews before we chose to rent with Dodd and page port Elliot

Lovely feel about this company, they went out of their way to make our holiday stay enjoyable. Port Elliot was a great location to relax we will be back again and use Dodd & Page to book our accommodation.

BUYER BEWARE!! These guys are NOT your friends! Our holiday experience was not only upset but completely destroyed by their lies and dishonesty. We thought we could live with the fact the property looked NOTHING like the bright blue and airy, sunny images, or the fact the house had suddenly lost a bathroom AND a bedroom when we arrived, and the sea view promised on the listing ( we could see the roof of the 2 story house next door though, great tiles!)
Then we were charged for damage not done by us but by earlier holiday goers and never discovered, then charged a cleaning fee despite being told it would be waived if we cleaned up, and had the ignonimity of the rental manager turning up at the house unannounced during our stay!!

Then several weeks after the trip there was another $220 credit card debit from our account, and no-one at the office could tell us what it was for and refused a refund! I had to take it up with my bank before it was reversed. In the running for the WORST COMPANY EVER.

We found Philip Dodd very helpful in the recent sale of our house. He came up with practical easy to do suggestions for presentation, and his logical way of valuation proved correct, as our first offer came in less than a week.
Philip always gave us at least twenty-four hours before viewings and kept us updated on any progress. Our house sold within a fortnight of first listing.
Thoroughly recommend.

Shirley was fantastic in helping my son get his first rental. There were a few maintenance issues when he moved in and she got those fixed in no time. I highly recommend her and Dodd and Page if you are looking for a rental property.

.We have just had a weekend at Pt Elliott staying at 4 Charteris Street. As you probably know already we were very disappointed at most of the way some of the areas were left. The barbecue was disgusting. Not only on the cooking area but all over. Fly screens broken. Dirt and stuff under couches. We all feel we should get a refund for cleaning. As for the blood on pillow it is beyond belief. I could go on but I cannot believe that you would allow a house to be rented out in the condition it was in. As for the lawns and garden(unkept). Yes the lawn mower broke down but was that the only mower in Pt Elliott. You have a rating of nil.
