It was refreshing to meet a Sean Simon our sale consultant who actually listened to what I needed, and offered me solid advice, with out the whole 'you cant leave until you buy something'.

He is an amazing person to work with - very friendly, approachable and got all our answers to our questions answered in a quick time frame. While I have always had great experiences with the service department I thought my first experience on the sales side would have resulted in a similar experience; I was wrong. Total disappointment. I may still return to the dealer for service related needs I can say I won t go out of my way to return as the loyalty has eroded. I can say when comes to my future vehicle purchase, it will not be here.

I purchased a new vehicle from this store in Dec 2015. On the date of sale the sales manager Tim B wrote on the Bill of Sale agreeing to free oil change 4-year from date of delivery or 80,000 km which ever comes first. Starting from year two each time I brought my vehicle in for a free oil change I have been told it would be the last one, I had to bring the BoS to defend each time. At the end of year three it was written in my invoice it would be the last one. I wrote two emails to the top management of this company, they decided to totally ignore my request to honor the written agreement. Last check with the service staff I was told oil change had reached the max, I told him the max number of oil change was never part of the agreement. This is how they operate business.

Terrible customer service form the general sales manager. Bought a vehicle a few years back that is still under warranty. Just found out most of the features in it are after market and are not covered. Sales rep did not disclose any of that information to me at time of purchase and I'm stuck paying if I want to fix my vehicle. On top of that sales manager hung up on me instead of trying to help me. Will be contacting head office and CBC go public.

I recently purchased a 2020 GMC Terrain from Don Wheaton GMC, I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. From the time I walked through the doors to the closing of the deal, it was all driven by customer service and professionalism. Credos go out to my sales rep Melvin, when I asked for a specific
vehicle, he had it transferred from another dealership so I could take a look at it, it was the one I eventually bought.
A lot of dealerships make the purchase of a new car an ordeal, first negotiating car price, then having to deal with finance, where they push anti rust, insurance, paint protection, etc. The finance dept at Wheaton is very user friendly, you actually leave smiling.

Probably the worst dealership when it comes to communication, I have Called, emailed and sent texts but never got a response. As someone who is trying to buy a vehicle you would think they want to gain your business or you as a loyal customer But they just leave a sour taste in your mouth. I have messaged other dealerships (Chevy and gm) and had responses within minutes. It seems don Wheaton has no interest in selling any cars, considering it s impossible to get ahold of anyone. Before you tell me to come down to the showroom I am not local and the lack of communication further shows me the lack of responsibility this dealership carries, thank god I gave up and bought else where. Don t waste your time folks.

Normally I don't complain, but I detest liars. I went in to view a used vehicle. I was able to inspect it, and test drive the vehicle. When it came down to pricing I offered 3000 less than what they were asking. The sales person went to speak to their manager. When the sales person returned, they told me the vehicle was pending purchase. Later that evening I was notified the vehicle was sold. The sales person then proceeded to offer me other vehicles on the lot. After a few days I noticed the vehicle was still on autotrader, so I had a friend request details on the vehicle. In the meantime I asked the sales person that I was dealing with why the ad was still up, I was curious if the deal fell through. The sales person said that the vehicle had already been shipped to BC. The next day my friend was notified that the vehicle in question was out for an extended test drive, they were then told that the test driver was most likely going to buy. My friend was then offered alternative vehicles. I'm not sure which sales person is lying in this story, but I would steer clear of this dealership.

Amazing price! The BEST selection! Great Staff! Definitely was well worth the drive across the country to deal with the best gm dealership in Canada! parts department is awesome! Service is fast and efficient! I just wish I lived closer to Edmonton so I could get my cars serviced there! I ve bought lots of brand new vehicles from all dealerships and I must say these guys are top notch! great service start to finish from the sales guy Ethan and the finance manager Tim! Extremely fair and a no bullshit type of atmosphere. Very honest dealership with a great bunch of people!

Once we left the dealership the service went right...

Once we left the dealership the service went right down hill. The mechanics at the dealership had our truck on the lift for an hour and a half, which was fine we where patient. Upon receiving our trade in value we continued with the sale of a trade in on a used truck on the lot. The day after arriving home with our new to us truck we quickly realized the command start did not work. We replaced batteries and even tried the app, after contacting the dealership several times the response we got was that they had to put several thousand dollars into the truck we traded in before they could list it and attached the bill. The bill was %80 windshield, oil change/filter and tires. These are all things that should have been done regardless, and things that their mechanic should have easily seen during the 1.5 hours on their lift upon trade in. The day the truck was picked up they told us do not hesitate to call if there are any problems, every time we call they just throw a bill in our face. Beware that when they say that, any problems you have after rolling your vehicle off the lot will be on your own tab.

i bought my Escalade on Christmas, and i was dealing with sales manager Tim Butler . The Escalade came with 3 month warranty , i asked him if the Escalade can be serviced at pike Wheaton in Red Deer and he said it would be covered there as well . a week later I had an issue and i spoke with Tim and he said that Pike Wheaton is not certified Cadillac dealer and if i needed anything fixed i have to bring it back to Edmonton to get serviced. Since i dosent live in Edmonton and specifically asked them about this prior to signing on the vehicle . promises were made by the dealer and were not followed through and it seems they just wanted to make a
sale rather than keep a customer for future purchases, I gave you 5 stars when I bought the vehicle but I have to change it to 1 star after the experience I have with Tim, Cory he was a great guy to chat with but this issue was out of his control because Tim is his boss and he couldn't change Tim's decision.

Initially I thought I was dealing with an honest and upfront dealership, I was gravelly mistaken.
If you are trading a vehicle at this dealership be very very careful as they offer you a value for your vehicle, then add less GST. In other words they are offering you 5% lower than what they are telling you.
This tactic is misleading and best, but I my eyes it is being dishonest, essentially stealing that 5% from you. So make sure you are very careful reviewing the numbers.
I wasn't careful enough and it has cost me over a thousand dollars and I am only one customer.
As of this writing I emailed the salesman, finance manager and the new car sales manager. Only the new car sales manager replied by email to tell me to call him today. I left a voice mail message with the receptionist and have not heard back from him.
Be very careful if you decide to deal with Don Wheaton Chevrolet

We took a 2010 Buick Enclave for a test with Corey at Don Wheaton that we saw on Kijiji last weekend, and decided it was the one. Very happy with the vehicle so far and happy with the sales team. The vehicle rides so nice my wife threatened to not let me drive it! lol

Communication is not great here after they sell or lease you a car.. Takes weeks for a response.. I had to go directly into the dealership and was finally able to get service done that was promised 3 weeks after.. I am happy with my SUV but do not like being ignored.. That is very unprofessional

Went here to test drive a used Sonic, as we were deciding between that or a different make of car. We had been to about 8 dealerships within a few days looking for a car and I was getting sick and tired of being treated poorly because we don't have a huge budget or pressured into sales 10K over our top budget. Rob was super helpful and kind, it was rainy so he brought the car right up to the door so we wouldn't have to stand in the rain. The price was reasonable, and everyone we dealt with was friendly. So much better to deal with than most of the places we went, and no pressure. We ended up going with the other make of car, because it worked better for our situation, but would highly recommend this dealership for customer service and reasonable price. Can't be beat.

Just bought my very first car from them and they made it very easy and painless. Everybody I interacted with was super friendly and I felt very comfortable there. They walked me through all my options and helped me get the exact car I wanted (even in the colour I wanted). When my insurance company was confused about the correct paperwork to give the dealership Tim called them up and sorted it out. Just before driving it off the lot Oleh (my sales guy) took me to the registry to get my license plate and registration before helping me set up my OnStar so I didn't have to do it later. Thank you gentlemen for all your help! I love love love my Chevy Cruze!

I said it 3.5 yes ago and i will say it again, This is the best place to buy a vehicle. Thanks to Julie and Nik jr ; what a great experience you both provided me.

way back in 2002 I made my first purchase with Don Wheaton.
was a 2002 Grand prix with very low km.
car Is still running and over its life we have always received the most respectful and courteous service.
in February 2015 I purchased again from Don Wheaton this time a 2014 sierra. the truck has performed flawlessly, the service was top notch, the peace of mind features were spot on.

I find reading some of the less than stellar reviews above leave me wondering if poor Don Wheaton has competition lambasting them with garbage reviews as one stop in and conversation with these guys will show you that you are being looked after, the staff honest and forthright, and the pricing comparable (and always negotiable)

they have been in business in this city for decades, and if you go do some shopping with them, you'll see why.

Highly recommend! They had excellent service over the the phone from both sales from Ethan and finance from Tim. Being from out of town I did not step foot into the dealership till I was there to pick up my blazer. I called knowing what I wanted they were quick of confirming the vehicle was on site. they had everything ready and were quick on getting me on my way. Will definitely be bringing my business back in the future!

Robyn was the one I dealt with when I was looking for a vehicle, and you couldn't get a better person. She's very friendly, and knowledgeable about any of the vehicle's on the lot. If you ask her a question and she doesn't know, she'll get you the answer. Probably one of the best experiences I had buying a vehicle from a dealership, where they treat you like a person...not a number! Was picking up a used GMC truck in Edmonton and had to leave for Calgary the same morning. Morning of my departure - check engine light came on. Not knowing what it could be, I decided to stop in at Wheaton GMC and see if there was any way they could squeeze me in with no appointment. Met John in the service bay, he got me in immediately, and 1 hour later was on the road with a simple answer to the check engine light. Nothing serious! Overall, super impressed with John and his ability to take care of my truck and have me on the road in no time! Well done John & Wheaton GMC.

Just purchased a used 2014 Impala LTZ from Don Wheaton last week. A couple rock chips in the windshield, which they are fixing for me at Crystal Glass, and a little shimmy at 110-120 which was a tire weight - I had to pay for the balance because I didn t notice it until I really drove it for awhile. Would have been better had they paid for that. Branden was easy to work with and not pushy. Very clean, everyone seemed helpful and the service people at the desk were great as well.

Popped into Don Wheaton to test drive the new Chevrolet Bolt and had a great experience working through the purchase process with their entire team.

Dileep, Shawn, Troy and Jason worked well together to ensure we could negotiate a deal that was fair for both sides. Dileep knows the GM product well and made communication a breeze. Plus he delivered the car to our house and picked up our trade, how cool is that.

Peter Wilson knows the GM EV lineup well and was key to making our purchase from Don Wheaton. Peter took the time to answer our EV specific questions and we have confidence in the service we will receive from his service department in the coming years.

Very positive experience had a oil leak Caddiliac Roadside toed me to DW from Fort Mac they fixed it right away and had it back on a toe truck with in a few days. There service guy Len was awesome as well. I was hesitant to buy a Caddie living in YMM with no Caddiliac certified dealership but Don Wheaten gave me confidence !

Beautiful facility with lots of inventory. The lady that watched our kids while we were shopping and doing paper work was awesome and everyone made sure we were hydrated and comfortable. Like many car sale facilities you have to keep an eye on the billing and insurances they maybe charging you for. Careful you don t rush through or you maybe signing something you don t want. After closer analysis of the billing most things were fixed but others are to little to late and not a huge deal.

I am concerned about the service department because the person I was introduced to seem to use the attitude of this is my way or no way. If you want me to work on your vehicle you do as I said on my term.
I bought a Platium XT5, but the lift was not working. Instead of come out or bring the vehicle in to check the problem. The service person told me to bring it back on Tuesday next week so they can check it out. That very give me a bad taste in my mouth.
The situation was solved by the sale person and finance manager who seem to want my business. Thank you.

I have been disappointed with my past two visits h...

I have been disappointed with my past two visits here. In my most recent visit they were kind enough to deduct $40 from the price of the estimate for the half hour to read and attempt to program my car's ABS module. However when they told me it needed to be replaced I was not given any sort of report or printout confirming this, I was told I should trust the technician's word.

Most concerning was the price they quoted me for a replacement ABS module at $1982.17 for the part alone. I called Westgate Chev, Lakewood Chev, and Sherwood Park Chev who all quoted me $1651.81 for the same part. This was not due to labour or any additional parts, it was the same single part yet I was given an inflated price by Don Wheaton Chev.

This wasn't my worst experience here, but I'm done and wouldn't recommend anyone else go here unless you absolutely have no choice.
