My first time here with my coworkers and this place is just amazing. The place is so welcoming and the staff 5 stars
We went here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday because he is a big fan of jazz. We were floored by the amazing view of Central Park and the intimacy of the venue from the start. We were seated at a table in the front row and couldn't be any closer to the performers.
I would give Dizzy's 5 stars for the music alone, but I didn't love my drink or meal. The Cheddar Burger was bland and sweet potato fries were soggy. I understand the cost of food a drink is a premium due to location and live music, but I would return for only for a drink and a show instead of a full sit down meal since I wasn't impressed. Our server was also very impresonal and spent minimal time servicing our table from start to finish. Overall, I'd return for the A+ music experience, but not the food.
Probably the best "mainstream" Jazz club in Manhattan. Top of the line performers, good seating arrangements.
The music was ethereal with a very soothing vocal. Love all the instruments and the food was pretty good.
Amazing jazz trio showcasing prodigy pianist Brandon Goldsmith at launch of his first CD. Exciting. Most beautiful city views. Especially liked brussel sprouts appetizer.
The view is great, the jazz is pretty good, the food is mediocre, and the bill is high.
Great jazz but the service person we got was not service minded at all. The food could be better. Next time will we eat before the concert.
Listening to jazz sounds while sipping on your favourite drink with an incredible view of New York through the glass panels was a wow. Though the food was average, it wasnt about that. All in all Very good value for money for New York.
The website's homepage and calendar (mobile version) didn't mention that the bar was closed for most of November. So I obviously couldn't get in :(
Elegant venue and the jazz is consistently top notch.
Great Jazz club inside the Warner Center, small and intimate but not crowded, beautiful views and always exceptional music. The food is good (though the menu is limited), and the cocktails great.
Great entertainment and food I proposed to my wife there years ago the club plus the entertainers were in on the suprise
The worst night out ever. Service was ok'ish (slow and had to remind waiter of drink order) first course was OK but main was awful. First time since I was a child that a meal made me want to retch. Complete waste of over $200.
Great venue with great food and jazz. What else could you wAnt?
Beautiful venue for watching live jazz with lots of talented artists to see. The view over Central Park is superb.
The place is beautiful! The beautiful views. The excellent acoustics !! I had booked online but they don't ask you to pay. I had for the 21:30 show and I arrived 21.31 and it was starting. On Tuesdays it costs 35 dollars and you have to consume a minimum of US $ s. I had an exquisite dizzys burger with fried sweet potatoes and a glass of wine. You can sit at the bar or at any table. The waiters attention well.
Music was so good and thw atmosphere was also very good
A beautiful acoustic and aesthetic ambiance to experience America's rich and vibrant art form - Jazz. The setting embraces you from all perspectives. Staging for audience and performing artists is designed to capture the spirit and emotion through the sights and sounds of the world renown venue. En hora buena! Congratulations! New York is made richer for its presence.
Excellent venue. Intimate but spacious. Very good food and drink at fair prices. Well trained servers. Excellent PA. Not a bad seat in the house. Been here 3X.
Had an awesome time at Dizzys. Great place to hear some great music. There is a cover charge for the 2 evening sessions. Late night sessions have no cover charge which is even better. They have a $10 minimum food or beverage purchase.
Very nice place with a breathtaking panoramic view.
Great music and friendly, courteous staff !!!
Hidden gem inside a mall. Go to the late night shows. They're cheap.
Arranged in the queue about 30 minutes before the opening, luckily guided by the right hand bar counter, I was able to enjoy live music of about one hour by Mike Moreno Quartet. The atmosphere of the shop and the customer base were likable. $ 40 with a drink.
Very nice, but an hour is a little short for a dinner with jazz. The second performance is already 2 hours after the first, so you will be "kicked out" after 1.5 hours. Too bad.
Great venue, friendly service, food was great (we had the shrimp and the short rib mac and cheese). Not cheap, but nothing in New York is, especially Lincoln Center. Worth it for a nice nice out.
Jazz club New Yorkers, The jazz club in my opinion! I was entitled to the best performance of the moment, spoiled by my darling ....
A relatively small jazz club featuring breathtaking views and amazing performers in a beautiful and intimate setting. The food is overshadowed by the music!
Lovely music and view. Great if you just want to unwind after a stressful week with wine with a friend or two. Great student discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Will definitely come back.
Pro:
- nice view
- good music
- student discounts
Place with an amazing view of New York! Great music, great comfort and sophistication.
The staff at Dizzy's are magnificent starting. from the warm greeting at the Reservation desk/Coatcheck, the knowledgeable wait staff with mind blowing cocktails and brilliant Jazz musicians. The food speaks for itself...AWESOME ( I highly recommend the oxtail appertizers, I've never had oxtail and now I am addicted to it)
Food is excellent service is great music you will definitely love.
The vibe is great. Drink prices kind of reasonable. Staff very friendly. The cover charge was a bit high and the length of the show we caught was rather short. I met very interesting people there.
If you love the great jazz.... that's one of the great venues in New York. Great atmosphere.
Beautiful music, stunning view over Columbus Circle, and some solid food. A standard in the NYC jazz community, this place is the tops. They have an exceptional jazz education program through Jazz at Lincoln Center with live listening events, special presentations, and various jazz-centered programming throughout the year. Dizzy's is a great place to catch some of the old guard, as well as hear the next generation of jazz musicians. The place itself is large enough to feel open without losing the intimate jazz club feel. The food is standard American fare and priced at jazz club prices, aka, expensive, but then you really aren't there for the food. If you love jazz, go. If you want a great experience for a night out in NYC, go.
It is probably the Jazz club withe the best view, which overlooks central park. I live in Harlem so I'm spoiled with the free low key amazing jazz. But this place offers a great deal tuesdays-thursdays at 11pm $5 cover, drinks, and bites, with a rotation of great bands.
Our favorite venue. Always sensational musical groups. Excellent, roomy seating - no bad seats anywhere. Reasonably priced. Fine food, service and personnel. Great location and public transportation with very good lighting at night. Don't miss this place!
This place had a very intimate setting the staff was very attentive to our needs and they helped coordinate my finances wedding proposal the food was very good and the drinks were amazing thank you dizzys for all your work
beautiful room and view. always great music. could be pricey
Always excellant! the early set may seem odd, but during the summer the sunset behind the stage is not to be missed!
The right place to listen to excellent jazz music. Personally I am a big fan of jazz and blues music ... I must say that this place is very nice not very big but you can really listen to excellent music and admire a beautiful panorama.
Every performance we have seen in Dizzy's has been exceptional! They bring the greatest jazz to NYC to be enjoyed in a delightful, intimate setting!
Yummy food usually. This last visit the chicken was undercooked and i was violently ill for 24hrs. Please use care when frying chicken. If the oil in the deep fryer is too hot the outdide will darken but the inside will remain raw and people can get sick
Great sound and bands. Good views from any seat. Pricey yet worth the experience.
An unforgettable jazz evening. An extraordinary atmosphere with a sublime view of New York.
A unique experience to do at least once. High-level jazz music show with elements that convey unique sensations. The paid ticket is more than well spent. Preferable to book in advance to secure the place and avoid long lines at the entrance without being sure of entering. If possible do not limit yourself to the bar but dine comfortably seated at the table. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, the music, the view of Central Park make it "Unforgettable"
Very nice place food and jazz music was amazing had a great experience
Intimate setting, wonderful food and drinks and the best musical entertainment in the city. Tonight I am enjoying 13 years old piano prodigy Joey Alexander!
Where to watch jazz at night
I enjoyed my eyes and ear.
I like cocktails with the icing on the ice!
Enjoyed dinner and a performance of a young and talented piano maestro by the name of Matthew Whittaker and three other talented musicians that make up his quartet. Once again the talent and the venue deliver a magical jazz performance!
Great music but band seemed like a bunch of nuns told they must play jazz for people that night. Looked down at Music sheets whole time, no interaction. Be aware - this is not a Jazz CLUB - it is a Jazz venue. Meaning no dancing, no smoky cool atmosphere, nothing like that. It s a stage, people sitting on hotel-like chairs all in same direction and staring-still at band.
Somehow I thought this would be a club - I was mistaken. I recommend Andy s in Chicago -THAT S a Jazz club!!
A buddy of mine who I've known since middle school brought me there in celebration of my 50th birthday. We had dinner and drinks and enjoyed some amazing Jazz. It was my first time there and I definitely plan on going back.
The vibe and the ambience were amazing. Oh and the food and drinks were pretty awesome too lol !!!
Can definitely get pricey, but for a special night out, it's well worth it. I would especially recommend the late night session starting at 11 - less expensive and a little more upbeat and young.
Always a delight. Bartenders are friendly and accommodating.
Went along the lady very rude got sent away to come back an hour later waited an hour then got to front of line again only to be told to wait in other area basically if ya not well off don't bother wasting your time
Sensational! Cozy, sophisticated and upbeat. Unmissable.
I went to New York and went to two jazz bars. It's here with Village Vanguard, and personally, Dizzy's is more popular and friendly. If you aren't deeply acquainted with Jazz, I recommend it here. I barely entered alone. If you haven't made a reservation beforehand, you have no choice but to come back and wait for your name at 5pm.
Really good food and you'll always hear some of the finest jazz in the world!
Very cool jazz/dance place. Recommended if you want to take your significant other for a spin
Food was ok, but music and setting was fab. View over central Park and city lights. 2 sittings per night, take the late one.
Best special date spot in NYC. Dinner and a jazz show, and the food is good. Plus there is the view of the city.
Great center for listening to exceptional aquatic jazz
Very good option for those who want to escape the commonplace (plays gives Broadway). Great tip I saw in a book by Pedro do Manhattan Connection
Great Jazz place. I went to the last show of the night on a Saturday. Long queue but managed to get a table. The band playing was excellent. The drummer and band lead was 88 years old!!
Always nice. Been there before. The only thing I wish is that it had more two seat tables. Sharing a table with strangers was fine but not ideal. The jazz was great. Always great to hear live music.
Fantastic venue, $45 music charge for most sets, except for "late night". The food is very good, the service fast and efficient, they clear the place out between sets. Great acoustics, the view is fantastic, be sure to take a shot of Colombus Circle before you go in... try not to sit on the "sides" near the windows, they you only have a view of, well, the sides. The bar along the back is fine for the view, but not for eathing, almost all tables provide good views...Enjoy jazz in this venue. Sit at the bar, middle... enjoy a Nigroni...
If you want world class jazz by Grammy award winners, this is your place to go!
One of the best places for jazz concerts in NY. Relatively good price.
