BEST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!
Visited in May. Makes you take several pictures that you might not buy.The show tells a story that takes over several decades. Involves professional acrobatics, pyrotechnics, and horse training. Food is really good; It is finger food, so don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Overall, The Dixie Stampede is WELL worth your money and is a WONDERFUL Experience

We visit almost every time we come to Tennessee. Dixie Stampede is one of the best dinner theater attractions on the strip in Pigeon Forge. Look for coupons at local lodging for approximately five dollars off. Or if your a Dollywood season pass holder check in at the Dixie Stampede booking booth with the park on show Street. If you're in town during the Christmas holiday the Christmas show is a must see!

Fun for the family. Pictures were overly priced! $50 for pictures is a rip off. I agree with another reviewer. They really should not sell you pictures during the show, it's hard to hear them and watch the show. After paying close to 300 to get in they should include a picture for a fair price. This is not fair.

Absolutely loved this show. The pre show was awesome, as well as the main show. You do have to pay for pre show refreshments and they don't offer free refills until you get into the main show. Not a deal breaker, but not advertised as such. My only complaint, is trying to get service during the pre show... it's pretty much non existent. That doesn't take away from my rating, just a small part of the whole package. If you want to go to a dinner show while visiting, I highly recommend this place. If you bring the kids, you can get them dressed up during the pre show for a fee, as a cowboy, cowgirl, or even a princess.

Wonderful show as ALWAYS, beautiful show, wonderful staff, and always a true to heart enjoyable family dinner. We have vacationed in the smokies for as long as I can remember and this was our first time back as a whole family in over a decade. This year we brought three new children in the Elder family tree, and Dolly and her wonderful show and entertainment wasn't a disappointment in any aspect. A stage and show more beautiful than ever, performers and staff that have you filled with excitement, and some of the best home cooked meal on your plates. Dolly has always delivered the best of the best in these Smokey Mountains and still does. Thank you Dolly and her very professional staff for an experience we will never forget.

This is an absolutely amazing show and dinner. The staff make the experience very memorable and entertaining. We decided last minute to go and ended up with amazing seats. It is a great value for the price as well. You get a top notch show that is entertaining and interactive as well as more good food than you can eat. If you plan on going for dinner you might want to eat a very light lunch. It is a wonderful family friendly experience everyone should enjoy. It is great no matter what season you go in. The regular show is a north vs South fun filled night and the christmas season is spectacular!

For the price, I just don t think it was worth it. I went when I was in high school and loved it. So I wanted to take my husband for his birthday. We spent around $130 for the tickets.

They mentioned pre-show entertainment and how entertaining it was going to be. So we arrived early to catch it. Unfortunately, it was horrible. The saloon was packed to the gills and they charged a ton for popcorn and non-alcoholic beverages. The banjo player was pretty great, but it just wasn t a great show.

Then we went into the dining hall. They no longer print the menu on the napkins - disappointing because it was a nice touch.

They didn t tell us before hand we needed to tip or needed cash. So we had to run to the ATM after the show and run through all these people. It was horrible. Plus there was no change so she scored on the tip scale.

The chicken was phenomenal and loved the seasoning! The soup lacked flavor... the biscuit was cold, but good. Hated the pork loin! Yuck! Corn was good, but needed butter for the potato. The apple dessert was pretty good, but I was too full.

It took forever to get my drink though! Server was great!

The show wasn t that great. They didn t have enough tricks and horseback riding. Would ve liked to have seen a lot more!

We were not aware that tickets purchased at different times resulted in seats being separated. I was not able to sit with my husband during the show since we purchased a ticket for my young niece after purchasing our tickets. The website does not explain that you should call if adding a ticket and the way the online registration is set up it appears that you need to arrive early to ensure that you sit together. This is not the case and was very upsetting to be separated from my husband during our family vacation. The show itself and service were excellent, but the fact that I could not share this fully with my husband and that he had to sit with people he did not know dampened the overall experience.

Food is good..same each time we have been there. Show was nice..loved the change up for Christmas..and hubby won the "horseshoe" toss. Actors do well and are friendly afterwards. Kind of wish they would go off script on occasion, and honestly would love a bit of change on the menu..maybe some veggie kabob instead of the pork chop which is typically too dry...but if they never change it..I would still happily eat all that is served. I just kind of hate that they removed the word Dixie from the name, as it was simply more fitting, in dealing with the original story, and despite the public push to change it, I do not believe it was ever offensive or pushing an agenda.

As location based entertainment in the equine dinner theater vein, it's great. There's vaudeville routines, a bit of magic, horse action, and audience participation. What's not to love? First, the pork loin. It was over done, but the chicken was fantastic and the biscuits are spot on. On the other hand... there's some uh... interesting narrative choices around the South, Manifest Destiny, and the impact that had on indigenous Americans. Also, desperately needs a liquor license. Remember to tip your server, our's, Sunshine, was great, and we couldn't tip her enough.

Enjoyable meal, would have preferred to have silverware. Would have been nice to have wine available. Some of the show was silly in some parts and I have some concerns about the well being of the animals. The horses forced to run through the ring of fire seemed terrified, as did the bison and long horn cattle. Wait staff were excellent, polite and efficient. Expensive for what it is.

Good show and the food was great. My only complaint is the tight seating.

Your meal is a cream of chicken soup, whole chicken, slice of smoked pork, corn on the cob, half of a baked potato and a biscuit. They give you a fork now but... it's all country finger food.

The show was wonderful! However, they cram so many people on a row. There was 5 people in my group and one being my 5 year old. She is very skinny and had no room to eat and same goes for the rest of our group. We was comfortable until they decided to cramp 4 women who all was easy over 300 pounds each on our row. I had to sit beside one of the women who kept sitting her leg on mine. I would move and she would get closer. Horrible! When the food came it was good but due to them cramping us in the same woman hit me several times in arm and face while trying to eat. I asked the lady to move because she was hitting me and she informed me to shut up she had paid $55 for the ticket. Well so did We! Waiter did Nothing! It's sad that we paid what we did for 5 people and my daughter didn't even have a seat. I was hit several times and sat on! Oh did I mention that I am 8 months pregnant! We was hoping for a wonderful experience with our family and a dream come true for my daughter who loves horses but this was not the case. Made it a horrible experience.

The Christmas show was fantastic, professionally done, well trained horses and comedy. Food was okay but I did not care for eating everything with my fingers. Seating was horrible. Absolutely no space between chairs, hard to get your chair pushed in and sometimes overlapping shoulders. I was extremely uncomfortable and felt squeezed in. At times depending on the person sitting on each side of you, you couldn t move. I will not recommend this show to anyone. It s a shame since the show itself was very good.
