Visited last year and rated it 5 stars. This year we had a 9 month old and they treat babies as burdens. We got lucky and found a high chair to utilize but they are so focused on cramming as many people in as possible that babies are an afterthought.
This is my third time, and my husbands second time visiting Dixie Stampede. This time we accidentally bought our tickets through a third party (VacationsMadeEasy). The company falsely sold us "preferred seating", which we now know they aren't allowed to offer, at a higher price. Now, this is clearly my fault for not being more diligent but once we realized what happened (after being sat in the back row), we asked our waitress if there was a manger to speak with us. Our first waitress Carly was very nice and helpful in finding us a manager. The manager quickly found us and then we explained the problem. He contacted Vacations Made Easy and realized they sold us tickets they weren't suppose to. Now this problem is by no fault of Dixie Stampede but they were so amazing and offered us two open seats in the preferred seating section. Big thank you to everyone at Dixie Stampede and how the handled the situation. Beware of VacationsMadeEasy!
Absolutely loved it!!! Even got to be part of the show!!!!
Great food even greater show. 1st time attending and would recommend it to anyone.
The show before ( those guys were good!!) and the "main" show was very entertaining with talented people!!!
They give you alot of food when your watching the main show, but I like my Hot food HOT, Cold food COLD!
You first get a beverage and I wanted Ice Tea, but was hoping to get water and a cup of coffee, which she never brought
You get soup, a bisquit, a whole chicken, baked potato,, corn, a slice of pork, and an apple turnover for dessert!
I ate the soup (lukewarm), bisquit (hot), chicken, corn (soggy, but sweet), the apple turnover!
The waitress was nice though and she got a very good tip!
I reali
ze that they have only so much time to bring the food out and serve it, but maybe they could improve on the food part!
It was a great ending to a great show and I enjoyed myself immensely!
I'm not really interested in dinner shows. I came because someone I was with likes horses. I did enjoy the comic relief of skeeter. The chicken was juicy and tender, the BBQ sauce was good, but potato didn't have butter, sour cream, etc., the Apple turnover was delicious. The rest of the show was okay, the kids enjoyed it. Definitely more of a family entertainment. This was not fine dining.
Edit: I read a couple of the last reviews before mine and they spoke of educational value. Not sure what version of History they're referring to, certainly not accurate.
Pretty cool themed dinner show. The meal was very good, but don't forget to bring your own napkins!!!! No utensils allowed!! They are very efficient at getting the food out as the show is going on. Great show, incredible servers and wonderful animal performers and their handlers!
It was just OK. The riders are talented and the service was excellent. They do expect you to tip 15 percent, which should already be included in the price. Food was just ok; nothing fancy. The "pre-show" is just an attempt to get you to buy overpriced drinks and snacks. It's not worth the price, in my opinion.
Fun performance for people of all ages. Food was delicious, but definitely too much for senior appetites. It was an extra bonus to have Dolly singing some of the songs too!
Great dinner show for the kids. They didn t beat a ton but they loved the show itself and the competition between the north and the south. Service was great and the food was okay. The show is still worth the mediocre dinner.
We had a blast we cant wait to go back loved the food and the intertainment.
Awesome...my great grand child first visit....so enjoyed...how ever I would change up the menu....
My family and I visit here every time we are in The Smokey's. We love the (Dixie) Dolly Parton's Stampede.
I had a good time. The food was good. I feel that it is a little pricey. I wouldn't go back because of the price.
Politics belong in government not entertainment. Great food tho.
Great food and entertainment my kids have always enjoyed it
Great show! This was the Christmas show. Would love to go back when they have other shows. First time ever and I loved it. Will definitely be going back. The chicken and pork chop was seasoned to perfection. Service was outstanding.
Food wasn't as flavorful as usual and soup was very watered down.
Show was amazing but the food was dry and they make you pay extra for your photo
Nothing but amazing! We had a blast! The food was amazing. I highly recommend
Food could've been better for the price. Chicken was dry
Everything was delicious and the show was amazing! Just make sure to bring extra cash to tip
Show was amazing! Food was ok, but not worth the cost!! Service waa fantastic! Need utensils!!$
This is a great entertainment for a date night or family night. Go hungry because they serve lots of good food. They do not have silverware so be prepared to eat with your fingers.
43 years old and it was my first time there. Enjoyed it!!
Show was good and staff were friendly! Chicken was tasty however the pork was rubbery! I also wasn't a fan of getting my dinner one item at a time. Not sure why they couldn't bring everyone a full plate of food like they show on the TV. I took a star away because i didn't like that they requested you to come a hour and half early to sell you an over priced non refillable non alcoholic drink in a lil plastic boot at a musical pre show before the dinner show.
A fun night out for the family. No cheese with dinner but plenty of cheese on the stage floor. Go with it, laugh and cheer and have a good time.
Really Cool. Everything is done well, only problem, is, parking there, and traffic to get in.
Wonderful Show and pre show. Food was great waitress was very nice and polite in F4 section. Had a blast.
Wow we had an amazing time here all the girls loved it! One of the twins put in she wants a horse!! Guess Poppy will have to get right on that lol.
Great food! The performances was very talented! Had a great time and will be back!
Food is decent nothing to rave about, show is ok and the drinks are good. A little bit interesting to see as a northerner definitely very southern and southern pride. Would like to see them put in another exit to let people out of it takes about 20-30 minutes to file everyone out of the gift shop.
Nice show and the food wasn t bad. No utensils so be prepared to eat with your hands. Did seem to be a little dated. Might need to change it up a bit for the next generation to enjoy. Heads up, bring some cash for your waiter so you can tip.
This place is awesome they have a really good show good food and great staff
Good food and really great entertainment and fun to enjoy
A lot of fun but if you've been to one it's always the same
I came to this show with a group of 4 friends. And we asked for 4 tickets next to each other. So when we got to sit down at the booths one of our tickets is on the opposite sides of the rest of the group, so now I m sitting away from my group and they won t let me move to sit with my friends. On top of everything it smells like a farm. Not a pleasant smell to have while eating dinner...
If you are in Tennessee you have to go in and enjoy the great food and show it's something wonderful to see .
Great pre show in saloon and great stadium show in arena
Great time and lots of fun! Food was awesome and yes, they give you plenty.
Uplifting, well done program. The meal served was good, the portions were large. Dolly Parton's Stampede was a delightful, enjoyable exprience.
Best show I have been to and love it would recommend to anyone
What is not to love? The food is served hot, plenty of it and the show is fun. Visit the horses before the show for a bit more interest. The riders and horses sit by the edge of the ring for autographs and friendly chats after the show. Great experience.
Show was amazing (as usual). Service was not good. One person had two sections to service. Took forever to get food and drink, only one refill and never got coffee even though we asked several times.
If you want to know simple USA History and to feel as an American see the place. You'll see cowboys, Cowgirls, long horn and buffalos.
Our server Ron was excellent and the show was phenomenal! I wish they made the wheelchair seating area in a better location on the side to be able to see the show better.
Great food and an amazing show for the whole family
The show was great, and very entertaining. The chicken was phenomenal along with the biscuit. I felt the potato needed something. My son loved the corn, and pork loin. Everything was a great experience.
A Bar... without Drinks?...
This was my Vacation...Me and the Wife would have liked a Cocktail...
Helpful staff, good food, show may not be for everyone, but good for those who enjoy horse feats and dancing.
