get a membership. you wont regret free IMAX 3D movies all year as well as free entrance to the actual discovery center where there are a ton of games. food stalls are nice and cheap but close at 5. shooting range is the best and the 4D ride can differ based on the actual ride. Get a yearly membership and just come every weekend for the movies. Pretty accessible from joo koon mrt as well as several buses

At reaching 30 years old, i still had fun running around the discovery centre with my wife, you get to see and experience all sort of interesting games and quiz and watch interesting short clips, like what makes singapore singapore and why certain values needs to be there, she got to fire the SAR used in army as well, i think she enjoyed the experience. Bring your kids there!

Interesting and educational for the family. Meaningful exhibitions, both the permanent and temporary ones.

Cheap movie tickets. Probably no where else can find it.

A little bit dated. Would be good to have a refreshed. But admittedly, it is probably meant for teens and young adults. I came with my 3 yr old and he did not even want to do the bus tour. I personally liked the place and would visit annually.

They have a couple of interactive and mass multiplayer "games". More for locals than tourists.

Free for Singaporeans. Many interactive displays. Much like science center but more focus on Singapore national building information.

Factor three hours to explore the place at a comfortable pace.

There is a movie theatre within the same compound. Also showing 3D shows. Relatively affordable at 4 dollars per pax.

Army museum is nearby. But was not opened at my time of visit.

Fun and a lot of free activities for the family, especially on weekends (during school holidays). Usually, they will have some end of semester / school year programmes for school students, which they then translate into weekend events for families. Most of the events are free, and they give away prizes for competing / lucky draw.

Even if you don't win, usually the kids will get a take home souvenir and a few hours of fun there. Good for them to learn a bit about the history of Singapore as well.

The cinema here is cheaper than outside, though I personally haven't tried it. Food wise, try buying from the snack kiosk instead of the canteen. The canteen's food isn't that good. Other paid activities include paintball (please check with them for price).

A good 10 minutes walk from Joo Koon MRT, but there are parking spaces there (free I think).

It's OK to me not that fun or anything they just need to update there stuff

Place to visit if you have nothing to do.
Quite a bit of the exhibitions are faulty.

Can go on the bus tour to 'tour' SAFTI.
The bus tour takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Very limited F&B on site.
Kiosk selling snacks are your better bet.

Big and quiet place for kids to roam around and to explore. Best of all, entry is free.

Air conditioned place, quite lovely as have a snack kiosk and also educational. Learnt about total defense there as my sch's learning journey.

2D movie tickets at $7 everyday and $9 for 3D. Quiet place to visit and walkable from Joo Koon MRT.

Went there to look around and played paintball, not particularly interesting and the equipment for paintball not really comfortable. But worth a visit.

Love the low price of theatre movie ticket. There are also 3D glasses for 3D movies! Check out the website for show times. Love the unblocked view from the lecture- theatre-like seats! The food snacks and drinks are also at affordable price just located outside the theatre.

An old attraction that doesn t seem to have had recent updates to make the place more interesting or welcoming. Parts of the discovery center are not well lit and the staff there are not welcoming or courteous. There seems to be a general lack of interest to perform good quality customer service to guests and tourists as the place seems to be meant for student tour groups.

Was hoping to have a shooting competition with my boys but disappointed to know the shooting range is no longer available.
The boys are happy with the simulated warfare game involving naval, land and air forces.
Exhibits depend heavily on video technology to feel futuristic.

Been a long time since i last visited this place. Last time i brought my kid was about 10yrs ago. Worth coming again this school holiday.. Lots of fun activities that my 3 kids can enjoy.

My six year old son and I went on a weekday and there was nearly no one there. We were sad to find out that the army museum was closed for renovation, wish they had that on their website. The boat rentals were only on the weekends. We were just in time for the bus tour at 10:05 am. It was a pretty good insight into how our troops get trained. We went through the museum part and it was pretty interesting but a lot of reading and listening and not that much for interacting with. The exhibits that were interactive mostly did not work. There was also a free show to go with the basic admission but we didn't have time to stay for it. It was really cool to see some of the troops also going through the museum.

One of the only free aircon museum like place to visit in Singapore left....

Great place to learn Singapore history, culture, leadership and values

Really nothing much left here except some Singapore history. Not worth a trip for family but maybe for school

The Singapore Discovery Centre is a 'edutainment' and tourist attraction located in Jurong West, Singapore. The centre includes exhibits which display the history of Singapore as well as an insight on the future

The visuals are amazing plus you'll learn more about Singapore

Good hangouts for family during weekend. Historical history about Singapore. There is SAR21,M16 rifle to try on Simulator. Tedt your ahootinf skills ! On simulator.

Nice place, eductive, both kids and adults can learn something and have fun.

A local history museum, and is able to give you a comprehensive tour on Singapore's history. Now the venue is as used as part of the citizenship journey. Applicants applying for Singapore citizenship will have a 3 hours session at SDC. Learning about the history of Singapore and our Army.

Have a chance to learn how Singapore consciously learn from the past to build a better future for the nation. The entrance is free for Singaporeans and there are also free guided tours that we can go on so that we can get access to otherwise restricted areas and explore different exhibits that they have in the area. It's pretty much a Social Studies lesson outside the classroom.

Discovery Centre is a must visit for local. have been there numerous time for the information and the shooting game. especially the paint ball and the modified M16 shooting gallery

Has many activities like pedal boats and taking a ride through the nearby SAFTI Institute. Features a big theatre where you can watch movies for a cheaper price than other places like Golden Village. (Check online for their movies.)

It was really good place, a place where you can learn lot about Singapore.
Had a corporate event (Family Day). All in a good place to spend around 4-5 hrs.

Clean Cosy ambience. Affordable and delicious lunch by the pond. Free parking. Air conditioned. Family friendly.
