My wife and I have been using DFCU for direct work...

My wife and I have been using DFCU for direct work deposits now for almost 40 years. Every bank and CU has good and bad qualities but I have never had a truly bad experience here. I have a 2nd CU as well but will be transferring out and using DFCU solely. I have had issues at other banks and CUs as well with things like Auto loans it is not uncommon. It is a well run institution, trust is a big deal to me.

You will suffer if you choose this bank . There payment system is horrible. Their customer service the worst i ever had . Their phone is almost non-exist. They keep apologizing for the inconvenience and never fix the issue. Finally they ended up reporting me for late payment. I had their email which explains about the problem they faced . Do not go here .

You d be better off burying your money in the wood...

You d be better off burying your money in the woods and trying to find it later. I know it would be faster than actually trying to get your funds out of this bank! It s 24 hours before you can even speak to someone who can help you with what you need. Oh, and my favorite part is that t to make it easier for you ..someone will randomly call you whenever they get to it. So just wait by your phone for about the next 24 hours for them to call.

Someone send them a telegram and let them know about the internet!

All the negative reviews scared the hell out of me...

All the negative reviews scared the hell out of me!! So i made sure to be ready and take notes when I called...I was on hold about 10 minutes before Haley answered. She was awesome!! I have to think all the negative reviews are from competitors because between Bret Levine and the women (Haley) that answered when i called in to verify my new account it was the best customer service I have received in a very long time AND THEY SPEAK ENGLISH!

Brett Levine has been and continues to be the keystone and pillar of my finances. He is constantly available to field all of my questions and concerns, no matter how small or ill-informed they are. He is patient, understanding, as well as supportive. He has gone far and above to ensure my trust in him as well as Direct Federal, and for that I am gracious and thankful. I had the best experience transferring over to Direct Federal. A special thank you to Brett Levine, who was absolutely amazing and helpful with everything. Brett was very patient and understanding throughout the entire process, which was quick and easy. Going above and beyond, answering any questions I had, as well as, keeping me apprised every step of the way. I could not be happier with my new membership. Again, thank you!

We had 20 years of stellar customer service and wo...

We had 20 years of stellar customer service and wonderful experiences with this institution. Our last (and final) experience was so poor that we have closed our accounts and gone elsewhere. I took the time to write an old-fashioned letter (via snail mail) to the Customer Service Manager about our experience, and he did not even have the courtesy to acknowledge receipt of the letter. We went to a physical branch of Digital Federal Credit Union and accomplished in 25 minutes the transaction that Direct couldn't manage in 30 days (and at more favorable terms).

I have an auto loan out with direct federal union ...

I have an auto loan out with direct federal union that is on automatic payments. About every 3 months or so they send a letter about missing or late payments. The automatic payment was withdrawn. This has happened 4 times in the past year. I will never do business with them again.

Got a car loan through direct federal late last ye...

Got a car loan through direct federal late last year. I sent them two payments by mail because I couldn t set up my online banking for some reason. In February I got an alert on my credit, that my payment wasn t received. I tried calling but could never get through especially during the day. I got Covid at the end of February and was sick for several weeks. I finally was able to connect with someone that took my payments but could not set up my online payments. All the while DFCU reported me late. I finally paid them off and went in a different direction not before they ruined my credit. I m giving them one more chance to fix this before I contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Worst experience with a bank ever.

I have been working with Brett and Direct Federal ...

I have been working with Brett and Direct Federal for a few weeks now for a few different programs. I could not be happier with customer experience.
