Great coffee shop, mornings can get busy in there ...
Great coffee shop, mornings can get busy in there but they work through the line very quickly.

Love the retro feel to this spot. Staff are attentive and coffee consistently good. There's plenty of seating inside and, on the patio and if you're lucky and show up on the right day, you may just catch the fine jazz trio that jams there once in a while.
Excellent espresso. Smooth and flavourful. I recommend the lattes. Expertly crafted and great service! Limited seating and loud cause it gets packed but that s expected in a popular spot.
A must try in Toronto, great pastries and amazing coffee, much better than your typical Starbucks and tims
Loved their cappuccino! It was made perfectly. The vibe was relaxed and the staff are friendly. A good place to catch up with some good company.
I don't like when I see very stresses atmosphere behind the bar and smiles to the customers. It's just wrong. Also, it's kinda fancy but not really clear what's behind. Coffee is very good but kinda overpriced. But the worst of all, it's very laud.
Depending on the type of person you are, you could find this very nice place, but not really to me
So quaint. So nice for a coffee date por just working on your computer alone.
Prettiest coffee shop in the city. Great place to spend time
Incredible coffee and friendly staff. Open concept coffee shop - love it
Coffee is over priced... Line up is long .... Service is slow... Baristas don't tell you which coffee is yours so it's like a guessing game.. very crowded and hard to find seats..
Great decor. Perfect place for to sit down and enjoy a coffee. Situated right in the middle of downtown.
Love the coffee and love the atmosphere. Great for getting some work done here!
Visited very recently with a friend. Loved the coffee and the banana loaf bread and the brownie. The staff was humble and they informed in advance that they would close by 8 PM. The place gets very busy in the evening so there s it s usually noisy. But it is a great place to sit down for coffee near the eaton centre and union station.
Foamy cappuccino but drip is not bad either. My favourite pastry was the chocolate and almond one. They also sell their beans.
the coffee was ok and the pastries were tasty. be aware that they don't have any type of ovens and don't serve any hot foods, so you can't get your pastries warmed.
Awesome coffee house amidst the hustle bustle of downtown ....Lot of character!!!
Redheaded cashier with face of freckles is not good at customer service.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee was also amazing! Will be coming back.
A different and unique place to have coffee. Very lovely atmosphere.
Pecan square was superb, a small sized delight Skim milk latte, was nice and creamy but not my favorite bean/roast combination. The decor of the shop is so cute. Nice outdoor seating area. Great atmosphere but rather full, that being said probably my favorite cafe in the downtown area.
Great coffee, fantastic atmosphere and very friendly staff!
Great location and atmosphere but often over crowded
Lovely atmosphere. Delicious Cortado.
Friendly service.
Great coffee spot with very robust flavour. Their chai is one of the best I've tried, and they have a few vegan snacks to choose from (chia granola pudding or brownie bites).
Beautiful interior, great patio and fabulous fare. New favorite downtown
Beautiful coffee shop- just wish it was opened for longer hours.
Nice cool place downtown. My coworkers and I always went there during breaks. A little pricey and that is why you only see guys in suits there a lot of the time, but not a bad place at all.
Their outdoor counter and terasse is cute. For downtown, it is a sweet spot to stop by. The staff is very friendly.
Tried this place because I heard it was great and oh man it was! I had an almond milk latte (pretty standard) but not exaggerating when I tell you it was the best latte I ve ever had. It s such a nice place to study or talk among friends. Great aesthetic! Great for making that Instagram feed look nice too :P Definitely a favourite!
Love this coffee shop -- the building, design, atmosphere -- all make for a great experience, while sipping on a good Americano. Place can be very busy so seating can be a challenge especially during the morning rush.
A nice coffee place if you hit it early, before 9:30 am. Otherwise, very crowded and loud. They offer dairy free options such as almond milk and other vegan/gluten free pastries if you go at the right time. Overall, great service and quality coffee. Definitely a good toronto spot
I can't tell you whether it's the beans or the process they use to build my espressos and Americanos that makes them delicious, but whatever it is, they are consistently excellent. I also just really enjoy Dineen: it's constantly a battle to find a seat, it's boisterous with conversation, it's lively. The staff are lovely. It's my favorite financial district coffee stop.
a very nice place, they have indoor and outdoor seating. the coffee was good, but not really anything special, though I had an amazing Danish.
The coffee is great and the decor is great. Love the retro stylings. The only downside is that the store is always very busy!
Good coffee, good pastries etc, fast and friendly service. It's always busy of course, so getting a seat may be a challenge.
One of the best cups of coffee I've had in the city
Service is very very slow at this cafe especially if you want your coffees in China cups they only want to serve in paper cups ....seems like a big ordeal ....they should be promoting no waste....
Also servers need training in being more friendly to customers .
This is the most delicious coffee shop I've ever tasted in Toronto. Different people have different favors, but most people find it so the store is always crowded. The interior is also neat. Suitable for Take Out on busy days.
Ok. Usually very busy, hard to get seats and table configuration is not ideal for conversation.
Fantastic coffee that can't be beat in the area. Highly recommend their lattes.
Solid coffee with ample seating in a sun-filled, almost cozy establishment.
Best Vanilla latte I have ever had. Have come from across town jus to get one!
Such a classy and beautiful coffee shop in downtown Toronto
Nice coffee and decor. You will have quite a hard time to find an empty table. Would be a bit noisy when it was full. On Fridays they will have live bands.
Awesome little coffee shop! It was difficult to find a place to sit due to how busy it was.
Visually appealing decor, bustling atmosphere. I would say a mostly Bay St/Corporate crowd during the week but mellows out on week ends.
Hardworking, friendly staff (and it is always busy in there). Love the iced vanilla latte, coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Can be tough to find a seat to take it all in.
Good coffee (!), friendly service, lot of seating area including outside patio which is nice. Good place to do some work as well. Though, can be quite packet (+ very long line & wait) and noisy (echo). Other than that: recommended coffee place in the Financial District
Beautiful interior. Lovely crafted coffees and pastries. Nice patio in the sun. A little loud currently with construction outside.
My favourite coffee place in Toronto. Step in and you will feel in Europe. Other than the ambiance, the coffee is great and above all the service is excellent. The friendly baristas are always smiling and ready to help. If you re downtown and craving for a good coffee this is where to go.
Great hot chocolate and scones. Nice decors and nice staff. Staff are friendly.
The latte was not up to my expectation and it was too expensive. There are way better and cheaper options in Toronto. As for the customer service I believe it was also very rushed and there was barely any room left to sit. Would I go back? Certainly not. Do not believe the hype!
Coffee is great, I have red tea latte and drip today. The atmosphere here is even better, light is perfect, you can always see people here chat, meeting with the great coffee.
Not the best coffee but they do have a gorgeous cafe on Yonge street.
Lovely coffee shop, especially in the summer when the patio is open with high top seating. Amazing vanilla lattes made with homemade vanilla sauce. Seating is difficult to find every time as it s full. Usually a table for two will open within a short wait, but it would be tough to bank on finding seating for more people. Tasty macarons and snacks! I always grab dineen on the go, and brings guests here as it does not disappoint.
Well, cake is good, cosy place, but coffee ,especially espresso is really, really not good
One of Toronto's most delicious cafes! If you have a job to go downtown, you can stop by even if you want to go. I'm so happy that there are more and more decent coffee shops in Canada!
Very nice place to drink a coffee and eat something fast..nice coffee nice tastes..everyrhing fine.
Friendly place with a nice atmosphere but very crowded in the cold seasons. A little bit pricey. Excellent macarons and pastries. Hot drinks are just okay.
Great place, and considerably easy location for the busy area. Outlets are good, iced coffee is good.
But is more for meetings, then quiet work.
A bit loud but great coffee (quite strong) I had a large cap and would definitely recommend it.
Great Coffee place with nice atmosphere. Coffee is great as well as their pastries. Not too sweet like typical North American style. My partner and I went there for chatting but it was difficult to sit there for a while because too crowded. I reduced the star due to the waiting time and no seats available for a long time but taste was good.
Great coffee and food. There are not enough seats, however, and most of what exists is occupied by people with laptops using it as office space.
While Dineen Coffee Co. was strongly recommended to me, I would be very hesitant to recommend a visit to others. The barista dramatically sighed and rolled his eyes when I ordered tea. I was hopeful that this was just an off-day for this individual but was disappointed to discover that my drink and pastry were subpar in comparison to other coffee shops in the area, which made the fact that Dineen is more expensive than those feel even worse. While I had anticipated for this coffee shop to be very busy, I was surprised to see so many people camped out, taking up larger tables/counters, and multiple chairs. So all in all, the staff were rude and the vibe was rather terrible.
The coffee is very good - decent selection of sweet stuff and not much in terms of sandwiches etc. The decor is beautiful and service is good.
Great Americano and cappuccino well worth the visit
