Four of us walked in for lunch, wait time was minimal, main dining area was well lit. Our wait person was amazing. She had a great personality, service was impeccable. The food was cooked perfectly with the exception of the great bread which was not as warm and soft as usual. The host could have smiled and been more welcoming. The food was good. Ordered the grilled artichokes yum! Then had the ribeye. The service is a bit slow. Kept having to waive down a server for drinks napkins and the drink menu. Ended up walking over to a few tables down to get the drink menu on our own. Should not have to do that at all.
A favorite place for birthdays and when family comes to visit. LOVE the fried zucchini appetizer w/ cucumber dipping sauce. I could just make that my whole meal! Lol. Also, recommend their Campfire Feast special for 2, especially if you have their Valupak coupon. Sampler Platter, Prime Rib, & Choc Chip Cookie is my go to order. Hope you love it as much as my family does!
Appropriately priced for Steak and Seafood options, Marbled Tri-Tip is good but not great, mediocre side dishes, traditional Steakhouse setting with excellent service.
Went there for a business lunch. I had the French dip sandwich which was made with thinly sliced prime rib on a toasted baguette. The service was quick and efficient without interrupting the meeting. Overall, I had a great experience and I would recommend having a quiet lunch at the Cattle Company
Well the service was okay. Took them about ten minutes to come to us. That was without menus btw, we had to ask for them. Our waitress was good, checked up on us so she gets a tip. The steak on the other hand was okay. I am a firm believer that if a steak is well seasoned and cooked correctly, you don't need A1 sauce. I had to use A1 sauce. On a brighter side I did order a 25 Oz guiness for 8.50. The 18 Oz bone in rib eye is not worth the 38.99
The food was good, but if you are not willing to spend a pretty decent amount of money, then I dont suggest this place. There were huge booths, and they seated my boyfriend and I at one which was unnecessary but funny. It would be a good place to eat, especially for groups, if you don't mind spending the money; maybe just go for occasions? Quiet setting and delicious food, good for a date.
Feels like your back on main land, food is super expensive...like the steaks, but we are in hawaii...sooo you pay the price. Food that I ate was alright...so yeah, regular steak house.
Great positive feeling in the place, very personable staff. Excited to see the future of this place. New management is fresh , dedicated and excited from what I saw today.
The signature potatoes were bland. The green beans with bacon were bland. The mac n cheese was bland. The ribs were tender but pretty bland.. needed a lot of BBQ
We got the app sampler-- shrimp was gross, loaded potatoes were OK, and fried zucchini was very yummy.
The medium rare filet mignon was very rare... The bread pudding was amazing. The service was decent.
We had a baby so we were placed in the baby section. Literally... all the tables in that section had screaming babies. Lol.. I guess it makes sense.
Tried to make a reservation over a week in advance for a party of 13. The hostess was pretty rude and told us they wouldn't accommodate a group like that unless we came at 2p. Presumably because the restaurant would be dead. She wasnt interested in looking to see if there was anyway to work it out just a flat out no. They lost a large amount of money because they would rather larger parties eat between lunch and dinner when they dont have to put the effort into us.
If you like the char from the grill, and grease on your food, then you'll love this place. Otherwise, the food was okay. This place attracts families and is a popular place for birthday parties. The service was good since they always checked up on us.
Good steaks. Was worth the long wait. It would be better to make reservations. But our waitress was great. N had leftovers/warmed up and steak still was tender warmed in microwave
Had the summer special of top sirloin steak with shrimp and chicken. The shrimp was great, chicken breast was ok, the steak was terrible. Had a piece of muscle tendon or something in it that was so tough, I couldn't even cut it. Had to trim the meat around it to eat it in tiny ripped off pieces. For a "steakhouse" as in the name of this place, that was the worst steak I ever had. Where's the quality control? Flip side of it, my mom's steak was perfectly done medium. Service was ok, server hardly made eye contact while talking which was a bit uncomfortable.
Everything was perfect the settings, the service, the food was amazing I just love stuart's it was the best it can be. Our waitress Terri was totally like always awesome to my whole family! And "D"the night manager terrific, oh and a new busboy name Ken he was @ our table cleaning up our dishes and made sure we was okay. I gave him a special tip $ for being so curious to us. We shall be back again! All I can say about stuart Anderson's is just 1 word Fantastic! We love it always & forever Thank you and aloha!
I love cattle company. I always go online and print off the coupon for the campfire. My favorite appetizer is the wagon wheel, followed by the steak soup with Nicky seasoned ribeye.
The reception wasn't the greatest but our waitress for the evening was fabulous and took great pride in taking care of us. I forgot her first name but her last name was Pola. She was exceptionally amazing and we were very pleased how she made us feel albeit we came in close to closing time. She didn't make us feel rushed and ensured us that it was all right. She deserves to be employee of the year. As for the food, it was okay. Nothing special with my two chicken breasts and baked potato that I ordered. Thank you Ms. Pola.
The food is ono and the special they have now is awesome. For the special deal with the coupon two people can share an appetizer and dessert plus choose their own entree and two sides for 24.00 each.
Atmosphere just wants you to eat more. Music puts you in the mood to eat some steak. Very fast service. Your waitress Sharlee was so courteous and smiled each time she came to check on us. We will surely return with the rest of the family.
Excelent service, great steak, delicious side options. And the carrot was exquisite!!!! No need to go dressed up but you can sure do it if you want it to be a nicer out.
Good place to have a casual lunch. Had lunch there with our friends and the staff didn't attempt to chase us out after we were done, allowing us to socialize till we were ready to leave. I had a salad for lunch. My friend ordered a steak. Two others also had salads. Free parking. Recommend you make reservations.
the prime rib is great and Wednesday yoy get a full entre with dessert is for less than 30 bucks. def. can not beat that. heads up! make reservations this place is always busy! i mean always busy
Good service with good food. I would give it 3.5 stars because steaks are ok, cooked right but needs better flavor, the sides and bread are delicious. The service was good nothing outstanding or memorable but good.
The food was expensive and awful. For $42+, the prime rib could have at least had some kind of seasoning on it. On top of that, the setting was awful. The lights are too bright and the air condition was too high. Could have gotten better prime rib at a Golden Corral.
Always a pleasure! Food is outstanding esp for the prices compared to other steakhouses in HI. Every service person is patient, friendly and hard working.
This is our favorite place to eat. We love their garlic cheesey bread and their complimentary bread...my kids love it! It's semi-private booths because the backs of the seats are high. My family has been going to this resturant since I was a kid...
If McDonalds owned a steak house this would be it. King crab legs were rubbery and didn t crack. Steak was a 6 broccoli carries an odor that wouldn t escape the table and waiter seemed to be working his first night with no help. Ruth Chris is near by wish we would ve gone but they didn t have reservations till later, we know why
Amazing food large dining room with lots of tables, good tastey drinks and delicious food steak and lobster is amazing. I hope to go back this island along with the restaurant.
First bite, cold broccoli and my steak was over cooked! My cousin's prime rib was over cooked. At least the lobster was cooked right. Not worth the amount of money you pay. Probably never go back...
Their reservation service is a mess. They will take walk-ins and place them in the que in order as they arrive. If you have a reservation, do not bother showing up early to check in, your reservation is set for the time you put down. This takes me back to the walk ins, as they are place in the que as they arrive, they will be seated before people who make reservations. This causes a problem when all the tables are full with walk in and it comes the time for some ones reservation. The person with the reservation has now have to wait until an opening. This is compounded if the person had checked in early, before the walk ins, and because they are reserved for a specific time get passed by in the line by walk ins and now has to wait for a table because they are full.
Our server was outstanding! Great personality and very accommodating. However it took along time to get our meal and was brought out at different times. The wait in between was way too long. One person was nearly half done when the next person's meal came. The mashed potatoes were already cold and hard on top and our steak hot so they plated the potatoes too early. tarter sauce was given instead of horse radish for the prime rib. A salad had a rotten strawberry in it. This says a lot...........
One of the few real steak houses on this side of the island. Very friendly staff and great food. Meals come out quick and just the way you ordered it. If you eat here make sure to ask to be seated in "Lehua's" section and tip her well....she's awesome!
The food was bad and the place looks horrible and has a bad smell to it after good reviews i decided to come here with my husband but we both hated it i really don t know why it has so many good reviews highly disappointed.
Nice restaurant. They even have a separate room/area to have a small private party or a meeting. Menu selection good, fair prices. Nice atmosphere for date night or a special event birthday, anniversary, etc.
This used to be a go to place of ours but the quality and consistency of their meats have gone downhill. Also, the place feels dingy nowadays as our table in the corner smelled like a wet dishrag so imagine eating all our dinner with that smell lingering in the air. As far as the meats go, as you can tell from the photos, my ribeye didn't look all that great and my wife's prime rib was raw. When she asked to make it more done, all that was done was taking it in the back to dip in the hot au jus. Of course, just dipping it might have made the outside change color but the inside of the prime rib was still raw. The saving grace of the night was that the staff is very friendly and they honored us early birthday desserts for 3 August birthdays. Unfortunately, I've had too many inconsistent cooks on my meats I order and it is always hit and miss now so I probably won't be eating there again. Would rather spend that kind of money at Outback Steakhouse. Maybe if the Campfire Feast want so expensive now, I wouldn't complain as much but if prices go up, the quality better be just as good or go up too to justify the increase.
Ate at the bar since the place was packed with an hour wait time. The food and service was good but my med rare steak was most definitely rare. Luckily I don't mind it that way either. A woman came next to us and was complaining she had been waiting for a seat an hour over her own reservation, which is really unfortunate.
Went here for a night out with my husband and daughter. There was a small wait but that was expected. The server was very kind and helpful. A little pricey but they do have a good campfire deal for two and it reduces the cost by a lot. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was perfect! My husband had the steak and it was very good also. He ordered a medium rare steak however he recieved his welldone. I think that was the only real fault in the night but my husband was still pleased with his dinner. Overall great experience!
Inside service was great. This visit was for pickup and the food was subpar compared to prior experiences. Plan ahead or you may face a long wait time.
Service was subpar. My steak was over cooked. The macNcheese tasted like it came out of a box. And it seemed that you have to wait whether you make a reservation or not!
Sat at the bar hilltops today but they were a little uncomfortable and we had already asked to be seated. Along wait for drinks but not a huge issue. Got sat at the table and the waiter immediately brought molasses bread which was warm and sweet. Ordered the campfire feast with a couple of upgrades. Service was very fast after that. Didn't finish our salads before the entrees came out. Service wasn't perfect but the waiter kept our drinks full. Only reason for 4 stars was the awkward wait in the bar area and the mistimed meal. Food was good and cooked properly.
Was there for a Birthday a while ago and I Loved the atmosphere, food quality & quantity was very satisfied. Great service! Would like to go again with a coupon.
Service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. Love the fireside meal for two...plenty of food for both plus you get dessert! Steak was perfectly cooked. Planning on spending Thanksgiving their with the family!
I had a coupon for a free lobster tail when ordering a steak entree (not prime rib). I would get the NY strip instead of the ribeye, if I had to order again. The entree comes with 2 sides. They have a happy hour until 7pm and if you don't have a reservation you can always sit either at the bar or at their hi-top tables. The bar/lounge area also has 4 TVs.
Never thought rib eye could have a bad cut but I got one. Very hard, lots of hard fat and gristle. Dont order this. Didnt complain as my wife was enjoying her dinner on our 37th anniversary. Great waitress and drinks.
