Dierenpark Emmen Review

This is a photo of the past but now it is much nicer and bigger in my opinion. Very different than before. Everyone has to make their own opinion but I think it has become very beautiful!

Very nice park, where you can be sweet all day. In this park there are besides only animal watching also attractions. Everything is arranged per theme and you learn a lot about the living environment of the animals. I liked the large tropical hall inside the most. Here were loose monkeys and you could sail around in a boat.

With great expectations we had to realize very quickly that the entrance for 2 adults and 2 children for about 120 euros is indeed proud, the zoo itself however with the good zoos such as Hannover in any way keeps up.
Although many details are lovingly designed, you trot all the time on a given circuit through the three worlds and bores on long lines to the attractions - which are then very unimaginative and a waste of time.

Overall, there are relatively few animals to see, but in the distance, the ugly adjacent prefabricated buildings of the city rise up next to the zoo, which unfortunately affects the lovingly designed worlds very much.

Made a ride from Assen and parked for free in the area, a ten minute walk from Wildlands. I think it is the intention that you step into a different world, which works well in terms of buildings. Nicely dressed it gives the atmosphere of another world. In terms of animals it was not very exciting. The polar bears didn't show up, just like the exiled rhinos, and the raccoons weren't there either. There was also one sleeping Lion. They try to make the ride across the savannah exciting by driving through a few water basins, in terms of view of the animals it is better to delete the waiting time and walk around. The problem, I think, is that the illusion of another world includes people. So, just like in other parks, staff dress up to complete the illusion, otherwise it will be neither meat nor fish.

De naam "Wildlands Adventure Zoo" is prima gekozen - dit noem je inderdaad geen dierentuin! Dieren hebben behoorlijk de ruimte, veel groen en er is veel te doen.
Niet te zien dat deze "Zoo" nog maar een paar jaar geleden geopend is - veel groen!
Ik ben jaloers op de inwoners van Emmen. Als ik er zou wonen, nam ik een jaarabonnement.
Het park is niet al te groot, prima te doen, vooral met kinderen.
Ik raad aan dit park zeker te gaan bezoeken!

Waardeloze actie. Vergeet je een keer je abonnement en Kun je geen chocolademelk op een wildlandsavond omdat ze geen technische oplossing kunnen geven omdat er een pas moet zijn.

It was quiet because of corona but this was nice. This way you could properly view the various animals. I thought it was a beautiful zoo with nice extras, such as the safari, rollercoaster and boat.

Het is leuk voor de kids dus zeker wel doen. Je hebt aan een dag voldoende. Eten is gevarieerd en lekker. Indoor speelparadijs prachtig ! Alleen de Arctic was helaas dicht. Waarom 3* nou dat is om de prijs. Zonder Social deal waren we niet gehaan.

Heb je een hond ? Hondenpension de eersteling op 15min zeker een aanrader.

Nicely landscaped park with huge pens for the animals. Very nice to see that they get so much space! When we were there the animals did not look bored (as described in previous reactions). Park looks very well cared for and next to the animals there is a lot to do for children. Can imagine that they can really enjoy it. You will be sweet for a day here.

The animals can be viewed closely. The site is very open. Many animals roam freely and there are no pens. The attractions are fun. The ride in the safari bus, however, is not much and the boat trip in the jungle. Everything is beautifully laid out and well thought out.

Ruim het entreekaartje waard door groot aanbod van atrracties en bekijken van dieren.
Wat ik me af vraag is of de zeehonden genoeg eigen ruimte hebben.
De safari-tocht is aan te raden, is komisch en kort.
Echt een dag uit met veel energie en thrills.

Since it was not so busy we have seen many animals in peace.

Unique zoo, where there is a lot to experience, but where the animals are occasionally hard to find and it gets a bit more of an Efteling character (attractions with long queues that you end up in for a very short time). A boat trip in the Jungola is funny, but very short and few animals can be seen. For the rest, Jungola is very nicely set up, where you really get the idea of walking in the bush. Nortica is very disappointing. Only a few species can be seen there. Serenga is also nicely set up again, but outside the large plain in the middle there is not much to see. Very nice for once, but I don't expect to go back any time, as is the case with other zoos.

Na best wel te hebben getwijfeld toch maar eens afgereisd naar Emmen.

Zeer zeker geen spijt van gehad aangezien het een heel mooi park is waar de dieren en hun welzijn zeer hoog in het vaandel lijken te staan.

Mooi aangelegd en leuke dingen en belevenissen overal.

Versnaperingen zijn redelijk normaal van prijs en ook de volop aanwezige toiletten zijn netjes schoon en geen avontuur op zichzelf.

Kortom een erg leuk dagje uit en zeer zeker een aanrader!

Three days ago with family. Park is really against me with boat through the jungle feather the attraction two fight is really for children. Animals that you see have a lot of space especially the polar bear in them one the paterie dogs are nice and cuddly. very few animals, but they still have enough hactare.oja meschien what more shade or cool would be very nice.what with nice weather is very hot on the flat plains no trees nowhere few little ones.playground also fun especially with 28 degrees of sea trails where and very beautiful. sea lion show was not really special. All in all not worth it for second time and especially if you come by train from Arnhem. Town emmen pretty fun with nice markt.voor the zoo the little one can still enjoy the water in the city. That was day emmen.oja plus point children can drink for a certain amount all day sluch pupie

Tis a theme park has become no animal park, but had really expected more animals. Park has been made very beautiful in terms of themes. Think 2/3 of the animals did not come from the old zoo. Very unfortunate too commercial, the old zoo was nicer because you really come to enjoy the different animals. I would not easily take an annual pass for this park.

Nice zoo combined with a few attractions for young and old, making it easy to spend more than a couple of hours in a sweet mood. The animals have a good eye on the space and it is nice that you are in some of them, such as the prairie dogs.

Although the park has amazing scenery and the overall experience is great, the steep entrance price is hard to justify.

Definitely worth a visit on a quiet day with discounted tickets, but on a busy day the attractions are not worth the wait.

Nice to visit. There are not very many animals that have been replaced by more attractions. The zok safari in particular was a nice job, making a round trip with the truck. The food is really below par, burger sandwich was almost 3x as much bread as your burger and salad. A little too much so. But all in all, a nice place to visit, for young and old.

The parking lot where we were was very far away. We really liked the zoo itself. We have quietly done with 2 small ones there so have not been able to see everything. Will definitely come back to see the rest.

The zoo is especially beautiful on the eye, with different areas. The 'adventure' section fits in with the theme, but I personally think a roller coaster is less suited to a zoo.

Wildlands Adventure Zoo is a very beautiful park and is very spacious! Upon entering you will get a clear overview of the different worlds with animals that the park offers you. It is a pity that after seeing each world and wanting to walk to another world you have to walk all the way back to the starting point! Also some houses were very empty and sometimes there was nothing at all like for example the polar bears. The safari tour on the bus was a bit disappointing. After waiting for at least 45 minutes you hope for a relatively nice experience, but on the contrary you have seen 3 zebras and a "few" special animal species and less than 15 minutes later you are back with the idea of was that all? In short, a nice park, but it still needs to be developed

We were at the boat around 7 pm for a round trip, he was already closed to the surprise of us and two other families. When we came in, we wanted to cancel our subscriptions. We got the tip to do this after the visit. We at the end go to the counter to arrange this as explained to us. The lady tells us to do this online online we have had a better visit than tonight.

Fantastic what a wonderfully beautiful park we have never seen a park where the animals were having such a good time just fantastic we are now home and still enjoy after.

Had expected the roller coaster a little more exciting, but I really like the park. There is plenty to do in one day, but not too much, you can see it all.

Nice for once, but I wouldn't like to go there again.
I have noticed that, despite corona and 1.5 meters etc., it still remains busy. Perhaps it is more the establishment than the narrow roads related to corona. Just visit with a wheelchair, almost all animals can be viewed and reached by wheelchair, in my opinion they do not even bother at the attractions such as the jungle tour and the safari (and the rollercoaster).
Fun sea lion show for children. Didn't taste the food there, although the coffee was nice. So I don't know whether all restaurants in the zoo are accessible by wheelchair. The facilities in Emmen are therefore in order.

The roller coaster is fun, you are lifted backwards. Then let it go and you go forward down the roller coaster, after which you come to a stop against a slope. Then you go backwards down the roller coaster back to the entrance / exit. Does not flip, kids like it. They do not let children under 1.20m go alone in the attractions (animals, rollercoaster, etc.). I think also the minimum length for the roller coaster. 2.05m is the maximum length for the roller coaster.

I thought it was a nice park, nicely greeted, with a lot of bamboo, fun with the boat and fun with the safari and lots of children and climbing things for the kids
