Dierenpark Emmen Review

It was a big disappointment, never again !! We were looking forward to it and were curious about the renewal of the park. But we expected something better. The accommodation cages are downright sad, donkeys are without grass or shade, the polar bear stands the polar bears, nodding balls and in the meantime licks its lips from nerves, the monkeys all have too little space on their islands .. And the management is proud of this ? I question what is important for this zoo, it is not the animals in any case ... it seems rather that they are mainly focused on merchandise and food stalls. Not to mention the price / quality ratio of these eateries. I do not recommend it to anyone who loves animals. This is a nauseous petting zoo. Next time again Burgers Zoo.

Fantastic beautiful park and the animals so close and not in cages, really a zoo where you are not easily bored.

Nice stay. A few things in renovation. Many food and beverage outlets. Spacious, but few animals, except in the desert part. Friendly people.

Animals in their natural habitat.
No bars. Cages or fencing.
The staff is friendly and likes to have a chat.
The food and drinks are good and affordable.
We had not seen everything after 5 o'clock, especially the butterfly garden is super nice, we had to drag ourselves away.
We will definitely come back again.

The zoo itself is nice only the parking was expensive per hour 2.50

Simply boring. Especially for that price. A bit further in Germany at nordhorn there is one that is really fun for 6 euros to about 14 years old.

If Frankie Win had been traveling less to recreate the landscape and listened to the public more, he would have lived up to his last name.

Growing the area to get a better view also takes another year so in 2020 with possibly the cheaper prices we are going to orient ourselves again. Let's see if they are now participating in the savings campaign of the jumbo or ah.

Fantastic design of an animal park. They do not have all the animals you're used to from a zoo. But they have chosen 3 places on earth with their animal species. Chapeau

Large park, on quiet days very nice to walk through. Only downside is that the prices are quite expensive, so if possible, bring something to eat and drink. For the rest, I liked the safari and the boat trip. The waiting time was not too long, like the last time I was in wildlands. I find some lodgings rather small, such as those of the polar bear and those of the sea turtle.

I prefer old style animal park: one adjacent park with many animals. Now it is a combination of amusement park and animal park, but with remarkably few animals and many commercial opportunities. For the park and the region, I hope that I am one of the few less enthusiastic visitors.

Despite the many reviews we had a very nice and beautiful day. Also beautiful for the animals because they have plenty of room to be an animal.

Not as spectacular as the advertising looks, but still a beautiful park

Beautiful park. Despite the fact that it has not been around for a long time, everything is already well planted. Not much more of baldness. I found Nordica too clean. Do not miss the inspiration that other parts of the park have.

Beautiful park may be a bit more animals I found the whole walk after my stroke that is not great little smoother fries bakers who do not immediately half waiting such caves orders then chase your customers away.

They have fewer species, but the ones that are there are happy and have a lot of space.

This zoo is great for kids and adults! Very interactive and there is a bit of everything. The adventurous design makes it an experience! Prices are high, but that's the case at all theme parks and zoos, so it doesn't matter what you go to for that.

Very nice zoo with extensive enclosures. Sometimes you get very close to the animals. Sanitary and catering are clean and priced OK. ATTENTION: Due to Corona there is currently a one-way street system!

Highly recommended! We spent all day here. We had some free tickets so it was excellent value for us, but if we were paying full price I still think it was reasonable.
I was surprised that the food and drinks were well priced - I would have expected to pay more and the unlimited squash was good too.
Very well laid out, and the kids were entertained all day.

Is a beautiful zoo so you are in Africa and you are somewhere else. Nice things to do for children. Animals have a lot of freedom very nice fun with a train over parts of the zoo and with a boat nicely laid out

Nice zoo with nice attractions and nice animal shows provided by people who really understand it. One of, if not the best zoo in the Netherlands.

A beautifully designed and educational animal park for old but especially young. You can easily be sweet all day long. Save a little in advance especially if you go with the kids. Today 31-08 it was a bit hot but it was doable. Recommended.

Very nice experience. The park may not be so big that you need a whole day. And it is on the expensive side with a 30 euro entrance fee. But I would recommend it to anyone going there. Unique experience.

Where are the animals? In a zoo? Neat park but very pricey.

Wij zijn met 2 kinderen van 8 en 5 heen geweest. We gingen voor de wildnight van 16.00 tot 20.00.
We hebben ons er goed vermaakt. Eigenlijk Waren de 4 uur nog te kort. Als we nog weer heen gaan, gaan we zeker in de ochtend al heen.
De kids vonden overigens de 8baan het leukst

Super experience. Less animals but great setting. In addition, safari, roller coaster, boat through the jungle, butterfly garden with lots of butterflies that whirl around you. Had a great day

Beautifully landscaped zoo. Where the animals live on beautiful plains. Very well done. Also many play areas for children.

Find it disappointing. Some things nicely set up but smaller than expected. A whole day in the park will not work. With 4 hours you have seen it and then you still take it easy.

With our family, two kids 3 and 5 years, Wildnights visited during the Christmas holidays. The park looks festively illuminated. There is a route that you can walk through the different parts. Sadly, very few animal species were seen, because most of them slept (in their quarters?) . The Vila Magica show was very appreciated by our children.

Parking 10 euros? Veeel too expensive! Really shame. And that's a shame. Otherwise you got 5 stars! Because, the most beautiful zoo I ever saw. A lot of space for the animals. That's great! Very cared for. Friendly staff. Animals looked healthy ... and happy!

Hadn't there been 33 years, but a nice park, we wanted to have a drink in one of the drinking places, it took forever before they came to the table, then went in themselves to order, then waited a long time for order, back inside to inform, that was not to be desired, must be clearly improved

Fantastic place. The makers have really had an eye for details, everything worked out to the last detail. The children enjoy all the attractions that have been placed everywhere, but there is also a beautiful large game room with sand and water. In some places the animals just catch up and you can give some a pat. I really recommend this, worth every penny.

Was pleasantly surprised. Safari bus, boat trip, lots of things. Seen many animals. Nice is that many animals are in the same room as an audience so some animals you see up close. Great day with children aged 15 and 18.

Plank gone wrong ... no zoo no amusement park ... it's that we won the tickets and were in the area .... otherwise a real waste of money.

Nice big park, well worth it, staff very nice, looks clean and tidy, toilets everywhere.
And you can eat anywhere.
Only parking places go too far.

The animals have so much space and yet you come very close. There are indeed fewer different animal species than in regular zoo gardens I think, but because of this the animals have a lot of space here and I think that is the most important for the welfare, not stereotyped behavior. The prairie dogs you run for the feet, penguins that were really sitting next to us .. monkeys above your head! And then the hippos that you can view underwater, just like the polar bears, so cool!

It is a pity that there are no smoking areas, so you do not have to walk behind a smoker on the way to the next animal species or attraction. Enough place to sit for a while if you have a worse leg.

During the mini safari we really drove half a meter away from a rhinoceros, he walked a bit with us. very impressive.

I personally find it a shame that it is quite a walk from the parking lot to the park. Now that is fine if you have trouble walking, but for older people it can be quite a lot. Buggy for the little ones!

Great, the lighting beautiful, streaky bacon is fantastic, also the chicken is delicious.

The old park was much more fun.

Attractions are cool with and without animals. Unlimited coffee that also tastes good. Make sure you get the receipt so that you can continue to get new coffee! Had no explanation here and also no receipt.

Nice clean park. Fun for the kids They can also have fun playing. The play was also super at the jungle.

This zoo is like a theme park with live animals. Truly an experience unlike other zoos in The Netherlands. Especially the real game drive and boat ride through the jungle are amazing.

A great thematic experience! It sometimes feels more like a theme park than a zoo - in a good way! Really friendly and helpful staff and it's such a large park that we weren't able to see everything in the six hours we were there!

We were there when it was just the zoo Emmen. And that should never have disappeared. It is now only commercial. Just make a choice. Or amusement park or zoo.

Zoo made very nice Price is okay, but for children, the price is too expensive. From 3 years to 12 would be half rich. Parking fees 10 is not without.

Mooi park, alleen korter in het park dan verwacht, dierenverblijven zijn ook wel supermooi alleen jammer dat er vrij weinig dieren zijn voor de prijs die je betaald.
Meer een kinderpark dan een dierpark.

Beautiful and large park with nice decoration. It is clean and the animals and animal enclosures appear to be well cared for. Unfortunately we thought it was really too busy. Queues for attractions ran into hours and at each attraction we were turned away by an employee because the queue was too long. Understandable, but due to the one-way traffic it was also not possible to walk back to an attraction. Because of this a lot of not being able to do or see.

Beautiful park with various theme next to the zoo, certainly nice for the whole family from young to old. Also very nice exciting atractions, so for a day of fun definitely a must .
