They have a limited German food menu and a long beer list. Ask for Charlie!
They have a limited German food menu and a long beer list. Ask for Charlie!
This is one of my favorite local pubs to go for a quiet night with good German beer, pretzels, and wursts. I've never seen it particularly crowded.
Amazing service aamzing beer amazing food! Friendly service
I've been going here since 2009 when I lived across the street. Always keep coming back.
Great beers, great service. A solid darts setup in the back for good times with friends.
I'm not an IPA fan so I I love this place. Food is okay, but the beers are always on point. It's where I first realized that beer, oops I mean bier, can be enjoyable!
Nobody does beer like the Germans. Sorry PNW, it's true.
Giving this place a 4.5 star review. Good good beer and really cool atmosphere. Friends came who were under 21 and were repeatedly reminded that they had to leave at 9pm.
Great food and drinks, pretzel sandwich was amazing!
Great atmosphere, good beer list, huge pretzels, and full liters available.
My favorite bar in Ravenna. The environment is very chill while still being fun, and the German beers and pretzels are a fantastic combination!
Awesome local bar. They seemed low on staff when we went on Halloween night, so drinks may take longer but they make up for it with great service. They've food a good selection of German beers & limited food options.
Wonderful drop in. Authentic brews and food. Quiet yet contemporary.
We were ignored when we arrived, so we decided to just sit down at a table. It was at least five minutes before anyone came to ask us if we wanted a drink, and after we received our drinks the waitress never came to ask about food. (We had to send someone to the bar to order) No one ever asked how we were doing, never asked if we wanted refills, never even brought us the check. (We had to send someone then too)
There didn't seem to be many people working that night (might just have been the one) so maybe it's not 100% her fault (though when I went to the bar to pay she was deep in a conversation about what beers Germans really drink) but that didn't make dinner any better.
Food menu extremely limited, overpriced, the food we got was ok but wouldn't call it good. Beer tasty but expensive.
Would not recommend.
Great experience.... Patiently walked us thru the beer menu and food menu. Dave was awesome - attentive and knowledgeable!
Fairly authentic German food, good atmosphere, and good beer
Always a good time here, with a wide beer selection, interesting German food and a pleasant staff. They have a good selection of authentic beer glasses in which to enjoy your selected brew, including a huge glass boot. Gotta have a minimum of four imbibers for that one, or you'll be on the floor.
What a selection of great tasting draft beers! Not to mention the gigantic Pretzel. Awesome place.
Solid. Limited food but good beer on tap. Has,some, cultural appeal. Nice girls serving.
This place is really great. They offer a wide selection of beers and cocktails from both the front and back bars. The bachii ball play area is also super fun.
The food is super good as well. I had the schweinhax and was blown away with how good it was. If you get it ask for extra greens.
The staff are knowledgeable and inviting. Great conversation and wise bartenders :)
Good place to plot a putsch. But the left-wing kind.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food make this a great place for a after work stop but the amazing beer make it excellent! Recommend going hungry because the food is just as good as the beers.
Can be a bit rowdy but terrific food and it's a great spot to catch the game.
The waitress here was absolutely amazing. Was pretty sad to not see Ayinger offered as it is at Feierabend, nor the kasespatzle. The service is better but the food is lacking, kitchen doesn't support much more than a snack. I'd go here for the drinks but elsewhere for food.
A fun college student kind of place. I did love the beer, the decor and the pretzel was spot-on.
Great to see Germany beat out the competition with some amazing beer in hand. Can't wait to go back for the wurst to watch the best.
It's not easy to find good German beer on tap, but this is the place for it! If you need a break from the hop-obsessed PNW craft brew scene, head here for delicious malty greatness.
Knowledgeable bartender, good German food as well.
Great Beer and Liquer selection, tasty bits and awesome staff.
Great beer and atmosphere. Music isn't overly loud and can carry out a conversation.
A dozen German beers on tap, great sausages and pretzels with mustard. And futball on the telly.
A traditional pub with a modest selection of beers. I wish they'd add 'little meals' to their pub menu.
Good place to have a beer. You can play table games or cards if you bring them. Only go if you like German beers
Fantastic selection of German beer! I lived in Germany for 6 months and can say that this is one of the most authentic German pubs in Seattle. As a wheat beer lover, I highly recommend the Pfungstaeder Weizen Hefe. They have some rotating taps based on the season - at one time, they had the local beer from where I lived in Germany on tap!
The food is pretty good too, but a little pricey. I would recommend the Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut or the Bratwurst sandwich (though the roll they serve the sandwich on is not authentic at all). Love the sauerkraut. The giant pretzel is great and they have delicious mustards. The Landjaeger snack plate is really small so you might be disappointed.
Service can be quite slow when it's busy, so be aware.
The music is so loud here but they have good sandwiches if you are hungry while drinking.
If you are looking for great German beer this is the spot. The staff is awesom, always friendly and hustling even on the you busy nights.
Very busy German bar right outside the udistrict. Amazing food. Great beer. Punch card for regulars.
Great beer. Limited selection of food at lunch. Food was a little overpriced.
The beer was "ok" I am a big fan of dark beer, but theirs smelled nasty and tasted a bit off. The lingering aftertaste was nice, however.
Authentic German cuisine and imported beers! Good service and great ales for those who appreciate a hearty beer.
Fantastic selection of beer and a good staff of employees that help you feel very welcome. Dart boards are a great addition for hanging out with friends and trying European beers. Free Die Bierstube stickers!
Excellent German pub located on Roosevelt in north Seattle. All beers are tasty German imports served in third, half, and full liter sizes. Food is German style pub fare, pretty tasty, but make sure you arrive before 10pm if you want to eat, because they close the kitchen at 10. Pretzels still available till 2am close. Chill atmosphere.
I get drunk here on my birthday every year pretty much. A good German bar, tasty food. They will let you drink out of their boots.
Awesome sausages, beer, and bartenders. Best place to watch a German national soccer match.
Like any bar in Roosevelt, dog friendly of you have a good dog. Real German sized beer portions. This is a great bar for real German drinking.
Beers were awesome! Pretzel was great and service was great too.
Great German beer selection and excellent food! I always enjoy their seasonal beer offerings, Starkbier, Kolsch, Oktberfest, etc.
Good beer choice, standard amerogerman fare, good service
Great German beers and excellent brotzeit teller plate (think sliced meats, cheese, pickles and lots of mustards).
Love their beer and cider selection. Don't forget your drink punch card!
Solid German beer spot. If I lived closer I'd totally hang out here. Tasty pretzel and much better atmosphere than the German spots in Cap Hill and U district (unless you like a frat-like atmosphere...). Check it out!
Great cheese pretzel, cider good, rootbeer excellent. Brat's. Curry ketchup. Good friendly service.
Great service now they have an outdoor area in the back we can drink beer and it's got the Oktoberfest stuff going on they got a pretty good man you going they could use some support come on over
Amazing beers and delicious food. Service is always on point
Good beer.
Snacks truth is not a fountain, but I was there on weekdays, maybe the kitchen is tightened on the weekend ....
How can you go wrong? Big beer, brats and big tables. A must go once in a while!
Drinks were fine. Slow service. Food took 40 minutes, and was underwhelming. I went in hungry and left hungry. Meager portions for what they serve, especially at their price point. Ended up getting a couple slices of pizza from wholefoods when I left.
I thought that there was one person on staff, but who knows? Bartender made our drinks and food, seems bizzare not to staff the place with atleast 2 warm bodies.
Don't recommend.
Dave and Sumeya are the best bartenders around and make the travel there for the great beers worth it!
Fantastic beer!!! Great staff, really liked our waitress, I guess she just started but she was super friendly and personable.
One of my favorite haunts. Munich Mondays are da bomb!
Great to drink big steins, food selection is a little limited, terrific loyalty program.
Pleasant staff (who haven't watched Angel) great beer selection and Underberg!
