This place has gone to the worms. Deathly service. This place is not to die for. If I could bury then six feet deep I would. Honestly, like everyone else says these people have ruined my loved ones funeral services and have no respect for the dead.

Max, Vaughn and Happy, I'm so sorry for your bad experience here. Losing a loved one is hard enough; a terrible situation is made worse when you encounter trouble with a funeral home.
DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Directors is now under new ownership and new management.
While this doesn't help you or ease your pain, I can assure you that families coming to DeWitt and Tabler will receive the highest standard of genuine care. I understand that DeWitt & Tabler had poor reviews with its previous owners, but I have experienced nothing but good with the new owners and staff. The staff is extremely compassionate and have been completely honest in their dealings. I am sorry for the families that did not get what they deserved for their loved ones, but I sincerely believe that this funeral home's poor reputation should be left in the past with its former owners. I would definitely use them in the future.

Please please please, take this hard time to another place... If you're looking for people that lie to you, and show little compassion to your situation... I suggest Dewitt. I had Annette (the person you will deal with) on three separate occasions tell me they were waiting on cause of death from the hospital in order to issue the Death Certificate I was told I had purchased. Three separate times, lied to my face... Then call me a liar in return, and actually said that to me verbatim... Making an already hard situation harder. Also, initially they overcharged me by $9,000 and I had to fight with my bank to get that back in a timely manner. These two are pieces of work I'm telling ya, take this tough time to someone who cares!! Please

The funeral staff were very understanding. We went over our allotted time for the visitation due to our ceremony and they were very accomidating. I felt like they really made an effort to help my family and I get everything set up. They were very respectful of our cultural and religious tradtitions and made a tough time a little but easier.

we cremated our grandfather today. the old man (mr. tabler) spoke well while we fixed everything the day before. but after he got the money, everything changed.

he got all rude and disrespectful when i was about to add a chair for my mother who was crying haplessly while the funeral was taking place. the other staff, however added the chair after a while as the situation was serious. i don't think i should be reminding you that are in a sensitive business sir. please be more respectful.
