I LOVE Eastern Market! Come enjoy the sights, the smells, the sounds and the diversity. It's just wonderful. I bring all of my visitors from out of town to this Detroit gem. A great place to support famers and small business owners.

Went down for flower Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. Great selection and smaller crowd of people. The venders had a nice variety of plants to choose from. Hope they offer this again next year.
Disappointed. I come every year from the Chicago area and the deals are harder to come by each year. This year the quantity also dwindled. Only 2 years ago you got flats 2/$10! This year the cheapest flat was $12. I usually come home with my car packed with flats and buckets of flowers and veggies. Thia year I got 1 flat, 2 lilacs, and 6 veggies. Im hoping the deals and variety return so I can keep my tradition going.
Take a large dose of "chill" before you get there so you can deal with parking and traffic. But after that get out of your vehicle and have a great time wandering through aisle after aisle of items for sale.
When we go back, and we will, we will have a required cart or wagon to haul around all of our purchases.
Trees and bushes for the yard, every meat and seafood you can think of, clothing, produce, baked goods, spices, herbs and......there are so many things I am forgetting.
Grab a snack, or a meal from one of the many food vendors and make a day of it!

No better way to experience Detroit than on a Saturday morning at Eastern market. Go get all your fresh produce, plus some fun locally made treats. I get all the warm fuzzy feels when I see a long line at Vivio s or the live music on Russel street.
