All the performances I've been to have been 5 or 6. And I normally don't like such things. New chairs that are much better to sit on than the old ones. Take your partner with you and enjoy yourself!

A fantastic day: Two performances by Jon Fosse on the same day. One guest play from France and one from Russia. As a stage, the Norwegian Theater was the perfect setting.
Although not the youngest of the theater, the foyae, service, technique and stage hold high standards. Can heartily recommend.

Det Norske Teatret is a theater that plays drama on New Norwegian and Norwegian dialects. The theater is located in Oslo and was founded on November 22, 1912 with Hulda Garborg as chairman.
On October 6, 1913, it had its first performance. It was Jeppe on the Mountain by Ludvig Holberg, translated by Arne Garborg. The opening took place with King Haakon VII present. One of the first performances was marked by theatrical strokes in the theater itself, where national target youths and New Norwegian supporters ended up in a bloody fight. Some of the same thing also happened in 1948 when the theater performed Peer Gynt in New Norwegian translation.
For the first years, the theater held a house in the theater hall of the Bondeungdomslaget in Oslo, then moved it to Stortingsgata 16. There it held a house until it got a new building in Kristian IV's gate in 1985.

As the only major theater in Norway, the Norwegian Theater is privately owned. The state grants about NOK 100 million in annual grants. The farmer's youth team in Oslo is the largest owner, otherwise the target teams and local teams in Norway's Youth Team across the country most of them.
The theater received the Spellemannprisen 1979 in open class for As long as the ship can go.
The theater manager is Erik Ulfsby.

The Norwegian Theater is the place to go if you are going to a theater when you are in Oslo. Here they also have a restaurant (Kafe lion) where you can enjoy good food before or after the performance. Nice staff who live and breathe to entertain and deliver a great experience to you as a guest.

Very good, very good service, I got sick and had to leave the hall, in the middle of the show, the staff helped all the way, got a taxi ordered, helped me out until it was always very caring. In addition, the theater is well adapted for wheelchairs. Definitely a place to recommend, and always nice productions: D

Fantastic good Theater, good setups and good crockery. Incredibly high quality of the seats with comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. Whatever you see, you are guaranteed a good performance.
