The warranty process that Destination Homes provides on their new build has been a train wreck.

We purchased a Destination Home in 2019 and had a warranty visit last September to review the items that the warranty would cover and fix.

Update: It has now been 8 months - and the repairs are still not done. I have had to call or email several times before I get a response scheduling one small repair off the list.

Working with Destination has been an amazing experience. From the time we walked in to the model to the final walk they have been professional, responsive and communicated weekly on the status of our home. Their attention detail and delivering a quality product has made all the difference. Thank you!!!

Buyer beware! Destination does create a good experience on the outside but when they actually start building your home they allow for a lot of shoddy workmanship and sketchy sub contractors.

We built with them 9 years ago and I've already had to put $2,000+ into my furnace which was installed improperly (according to multiple furnace techs that have come out to maintain it) and has had all kinds of problems after year 4. Now just 9 years later after skimping along for 5 years I'm having to do a full furnace replacement. Our carpet started falling apart after a few years. I have windows that after a year became too hard to even fully open. And you should see the stairs leading up to my front door which have sunk 5 inches toward the front because they didn't use any base underneath.

When you call their warranty department they don't actually DO anything, they just blame the sub and send you on your way. Once they get their money, don't expect much more out of them.

Also note how they don't really respond to negative feedback with intention to fix the problem. We just get an "I'm sorry you feel that way" reply, which is par for the course. They don't let you on site to inspect their work - they claim for insurance purposes but now I fully suspect it's because they don't want you to see how many corners they cut.

We love our house. Destination Homes was easy to work with throughout the entire process. Their warranty department has been super helpful in getting a few small things addressed. I would recommend Destination Homes to anyone looking to build a home.

My wife and I purchased a Destination Home that wa...

My wife and I purchased a Destination Home that was constructed in 2011 and we purchased in 2017. We bought this home mainly for its plot and lot size. Although this particular home has been occupied by two previous owners, I have noticed a lot of shoddy work that is clearly from the original build and design. Below are a few bullet points to give you an idea. I will never buy a Destination Home again.

- Light fixtures not centered with doors or any logical point reference point
- Plumbing not well planned, one of our bathroom cabinets was cut to accommodate a pipe that should be in the wall
- Poor design of master bedroom to master bathroom - you run into the door, it s weird
- Loud awkward plumbing in the living room when using any water upstairs. Awkward when you hear the water from the toilet jet down the pipe
- Poor HVAC design - parts of the house will get close to zero air from the system
-The exterior Hardee board is not caulked and makes the whole house rattle on high wind
- Backdoor steps literally collapsed because they were built into the cosmetic trim instead of an independent support
-Paint over spray on almost every exterior window

Clearly there are good attributes otherwise we would not have purchased the home. But coming from a home that was built in the same year and much higher quality and attention to detail, it s difficult to overcome these flaws.

I CHALLENGE ANYONE DESTINATION HOMES TO CONTACT ME AND TAKE A LOOK AT ALL OF THESE THINGS. I have left two messages and have not received a call back.
