Friendly staff, especially in visitation. The officer that is in charge of visitation is so friendly and helpful. She makes an unpleasant event tolerable with her southern hospitality, yet she does not let anyone slide on the rules that are in place. Great job Mrs. Torres.

The DeSoto Sheriffs department believes it is legal to bypass Florida State Legislators and create their own laws. Freedom of speech is not tolerated. Neither is freedom of the press. Not a safe community to start or raise a family in with Rouge law enforcement officers like this.
Unit 3 of this department has nothing else than to harass Truck Drivers that is parked on SW Enterprise Drive to deliver to Wal-Mart. They will threaten you with a $560.00 ticket and 3 points for a non moving violation. However, if you have as RV or a broken down pickup they will give you a break. The underline tone of this Department is to Make America Great Again and had built a "wall" to not park on a deadend street. It is not like there is any other vicious criminal thay need to be brought to justice in Desota County.
Lazy inconsiderate losers. Have no better time than to mess with kids playing outside instead of the meth head tweaking on the corner.
