Surgery was a great success. But what I thought was the best was the nursing staff and technical nurses. Best of any hospital I have been in, which is unfortunately a lot.
Definitely World Class

Fantastic experience at the hospital today. Operation was smooth and successful and the pre and post operation nurses were attentive, kind, and down to earth. Excellent work on C2 and C1!

February 13, 2021 At NYU Langone Orthopeic Hospital In reception, excellent attention, I brought my son with a foot discomfort, and the nurses' attention was good, they did their job, the medical staff delayed a little and it is understandable, but after waiting for the X-ray for an hour is unforgivable

I had knee replacement surgery done at this hospital, I can say I had the best care ever. Dr. Ivan Madrid and staff was excellent. Not forgetting the nurses, PT staff and nursing assistant, they were so attentive to my every need. Thank you guys for everything.

Dr Hepinstall was referred to me by a patient of his, after being seen by various Doctors, years of injections getting fluid out and cortisone shots I was very undecided what to do regarding my full knee replacement, when will be the right timing, do I really need to have it done, what are the chances it might not be successful, from the minute me & my wife met and had a consultation with Dr. Hepinstall, we knew it's he and his team that will guide us through this, by our second visit it was decided that surgery is imminent, surgery was done on June 22nd, 2020, @ the prestigious NYU Langone orthopedic hospital. ( PT walked me through the 100feet hallway the same day of having surgery ).I must say I was blessed to have Dr. Hepinstall perform this surgery, his percentage rate of success is beyond, his bedside manners, full detail explanation of what to expect, his being on top of continuos excersize and therapy just come to show that he has the most interest in productive surgery. Follow up visit was as expected, on the way for a full recovery with the help of the One Above. I strongly recommend the entire team from beginning to end.

My mom had a recent stroke and was sent here for rehab. The service provided by all doctors, nurses, pct and cleaning staff were outstanding. My only complaint was one of the security guards when you enter. Hes an Indian young man,,, always had a bad attitude,, every other one was great though....also now that she was discharged trying g to get a doctor in the phone for medical clearance is a tooth ache.

I had my total reverse shoulder replacement surgery on January 22, 2019. The doctors, nurses, nurses aides and staff members on the 10th floor were absolutely wonderful. They are professional, attentive, caring and very personable. I am very pleased with the care I received at NYU Langone.

I forgot that my daughter had surgery at this hospital some 20 years ago but she didn't. We had a great time talking about her care from the security guards, nurses and staff. Dr. H.Van Bosse was her surgeon and to this day she remembers how wonderfully he cared for her for approx10 years. Hospital for joint diseases will forever be in our hearts . Thank you for taking care of not just our daughter but our family.

Stay away from Dr. Jegede if you're in pain management. I have severe spinal stenosis, been getting cortisone injections, burning of the nerves for over 5 years with no real solution and physical therapy. I am tired of pain management an thought he could help me. Instead I waited fo months to be turned away in less than 10 mins and my problem undermined JUST because I'm in pain management. Disgusting doctor.

I had a complete reverse shoulder replacement here...

I had a complete reverse shoulder replacement here with Dr. Joseph Zuckerman. The procedure has not only been life-changing, it s allowed me to return to myself and to my life with strength, fluidity, optimism, and renewed energy. To not feel physical pain or limitations after enduring that for almost four years is a miracle. The hospital staff also blew me away at every level. From food service to night nurses to occupational rehab to social work I cannot imagine being treated any better. Everyone was compassionate, caring, attentive, down-to-earth, and made me feel as if I was their only patient. They too are rock stars. I may be having another surgery here this year, and I can t wait. I can t wait to feel even better and be taken care of by such a stellar group of awesome processionals.

The outpatient center is not an outpatient clinic....

The outpatient center is not an outpatient clinic. It is an extention of the emergency room. We waited for 2 and a half hours to be seen because they were seeing emergency patients even though this was supposed to be an outpatient non emergency clinic In addition, the nurses are unprofessional and extremely unhelpful. One nurse brought out daughter in to the exam room and the decided that it was was too close to her clock out time so she left in the middle and was talking the other coworkers waiting for her shift to end. She just said that the next nurse would be checking in 30 minutes. I am doctor myself and if this kind of person worked for me she would be fired.
Anyone who can wait till I can see a doctor in a private office rather than come to the NYU "outpatient" Orthopedic clinic should. Under no circumstances would I recommend this clinic. It is a black mark on the good name of NYU.
FYI there is only an orthopedic resident on duty with an emergency room physician. There was no board certified orthopedic doctor present at the clinic when we where there on the weekend.
Go to Hospital for special surgery.

Completely amazing in the best of ways. If you need a hip replacement, you won t find better than Dr. Davidovich. He + technology are a divine combination. For Spinal Surgery, Dr. Gallina get s raves. The hospital is a well oiled machine with practical Protocalls throughout the entire process with no detail overlooked. And the nursing staff in recovery were tops! Can t give enough rave reviews!!

Two years ago my wife had a total shoulder replacement surgery performed by Dr. Kwan at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. Both Dr. Kwan and the entire staff at NYU Langone were exceptional. Originally my wife had planned to do this surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, but her pre-op experience with the surgeon there was so unsatisfactory that she sought out a different surgeon (and hospital) and found Dr. Kwan at NYU-Langone. Aside from Dr. Kwan's expertise, friendliness and concern, the efficiency, cleanliness and orderliness of the hospital facility (E. 18th St.) impressed us. Prior to the operation itself, we met with Dr. Kwan at the E. 38th Street building, the NYU Langone Orthopedic Center, and that place was amazing: modern and attractive, and the staff were very courteous and efficient. Now, in 2020, I'm a new patient at NYU-Langone, based on my wife's experience, and my initial appointments at their Orthopedic Center have been equally excellent. Five Stars for NYU-Langone.

My experience with the staff at the front desk was absolutely terrible they are the most unsympathetic staff I have ever had to deal with but after that the hospital was amazing NYU definitely needs to rethink about people s first impression about there facility

I have seen my husband through 3 serious operation...

I have seen my husband through 3 serious operations at 3 different NYC hospitals. This hospital is the only one where I found him clinging to the side of his bed in tears two days after surgery crying. "I called for pain medicine an hour ago." The next day I found him in a similar state, moaning and crying "the pain, the pain." Furious I vainly tried to reach a patient advocate but they leave at 5 on Friday and don't reappear until Monday. The head nurse fills in as the patient advocate during those times. Thus she is supposed to police the people who are working for her. Although I was able to get a meeting with the line staff at that time the "patient advocate" left the meeting before it was concluded. I was so desperate to get him help I threatened to take him to the NY Hospital. Instead of listening to my concerns she said "If you can find a Doctor who will admit him, you are welcome to." When I replied :"I'll take him through the emergency room then they have to take him." then I got a little smidge of action. If you have a choice go elsewhere. If you have no choice stay with your loved one 24/7 (especially at night) while he or she is in there. I wish I had but I trusted them. Mistake.

I underwent spinal surgery in 2011 by Dr. Errico. Had a great experience with him re: surgery. However, I ended up with a wound when the nurses positioned me sitting on my wound vacs for the day following my surgery. Additionally, I have had a horrible experience with the front desk/answering service. I've had to call at least 3-5 times to get my prescriptions refilled. After my MD left NYU, another MD and NP had picked up my prescription refill. I called several times to ask if they had to see me to keep this prescription active, but never received a call back. Now, they are refusing to refill my prescription, leaving me without my medication and now saying I have to come back for an apt. I will not be going back to NYU. Lauren (Office Manager) was amazing and really great service recovery, only reason I didn't give one star.

Surgery was a success, doctor was phenomenal and had great bedside manner. However, a majority of the nursing staff was not . There was only a handful of caring, supportive, and helpful nurses on staff.

I have been coming to NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital when they were called Hospital for Joint Diseases. The orthopedic doctors really know their business, they have been kind, gracious and professional. When other ortho doctors told me nothing was wrong NYU Langone Orthopedic doctors got to problem and addressed it in a timely fashion. I've had 2 hip replacements and looking at number 3. I would only trust these doctors to do this. Thank you and god bless.

This hospital is amazing.i walked in with a broken wrist and Stephane took care of me immediately.. he was kind and attentive and explained everything that needed to be done. i stayed the night and had surgery the next morning.
Doctor Egol performed surgery and all went well. the staff, nurses were very attentive as well.i would highly recommend this hospital if you have any orthopedic issues. there is a reason why it was named top 10 in the US

While the hospital efficiency during check in is to be commended, the experience in the surgery waiting room C1-135A is horrible. First of all the staff is rude, I walked in with a cup of coffee and was told "sorry you can't drink here" --I said Ok but I wasn't throwing out a $5 Starbucks... Nope... had to leave. When I do return, the surgery waiting room is packed. The same rude staff was there but she wasn't enforcing seating courtesy. Some people take up two seats with their bags or feet up the chair. Unless my wife surgery and after care experience is spectacular, this hospital doesn't even deserve one star. Wait till next year when their JHCO recertification is due, I have one or two things to say. Picture shows where I had to sit and wait all because they don't allow food and drinks in the waiting room.

This hospital is by far the best! I had hip replacement surgery and Dr. Fernandez Madrid performed my replacement on February 25 2021 I spent one night and was out the next day.I have to say the professionalism of the staff is amazing! everyone makes you feel comfortable and safe.I am so very much thankful to all the staff on the 10th floor and all staff at pre-OP.If you need hip replacement surgery or anything dealing with Orthopedics, I 100% recommended NYU Langone. Thank you.

My wife is just a week out a full knee replacement and Dr Adler wont give my wife any thing for the pain and expects her to get to the city to see a pain management doctor to get them so now if she cant make it to the manhattan tomorrow she'll be in pain till she gets there. Patient advocacy useless at getting anything done. She is attached to various apparatus a ride or pickup wasn't provided or even offered she came home in a ambulette.....so I'm supposed to put someone who cant get off the couch in a Chevy Malibu into Manhattan.
