This was incredibly expensive for the quality of bikes - and make sure you check your credit card statement once you return your bike! I was charged 3x - when I asked for a refund the employee was not very helpful and rude. I ended up having to go through my credit card company to dispute my transaction.

The bike in general was great and I like the whole concept, but the kiosk said that I would get 30 minutes free but I was still charged the full $9. I did not like getting charged when I only used the bike for 15 minutes, so be careful when you re planning on using it for less than 30 minutes.

Handy little service. Lots of stations to pick up and drop off. However, I wish you could keep the bike longer than half an hour at the $9 day rate. I think other services like Uber e-bikes are going to overtake B-cycle pretty soon.

As someone who has visited Denver on a number of occasions, I had used B-cycle several times since it's inception. My most recent trip there over the 4th of July weekend was disappointing as they recently change the pricing structure, making it extremely expensive for visitors to get around the city on their bikes. $7 for each 1/2 hour ride is ridiculous; you can get a used bike on craigslist to use for a weekend and still save money! They need to implement a 3-day pass or something similar to attract visitors. A program in Minneapolis charges $10 for a 3 day pass and unlimited 1/2 rides; please do something similar.

Annual members for 4+ years and we use the system a LOT. Crazy affordable compared to maintaining our own commuter bikes. Super convenient to just about anywhere we want to go in downtown Denver.
Bikes are a comfy ride and easy to adjust and use - we make it adventure to rent bikes wherever we travel so we know this is a good solid system compared to many others we've tried. Friendly and competent customer service on the rare occasions there's any issue. Mind the rules on renting or you'll pay overage fees, but it all goes to a great cause if you go over!

Renter be-ware. Very large fees for renting beyong 30 minutes or an hour. Text system does not work as shown. I was charged $34 in extra fees, plus the original $8 fee with no compromises. Very shady business model, customer service rep was not helpful at all. For the price, get an uber, cab, or buy a used bike.

Awesome, very easy to use. It tells you up front it is $8 to register for the day. The first 30 minutes are free...simply dock the bike at one of the many stations before then. From 30-60 minutes it is $1, and $4 per hour afterward.
The bikes we had were in good shape and shifted nice. Overall a great experience! Highly recommended.

Good concept. Very good concept, however extremely flawed. Cost is 9$ for a 24 hr pass, which you can only use the bike in 30 minute increments to avoid being charged 5$ extra. You can only return these bikes at a designated station. So if theres no station near your destination, then you're screwed either having to walk or pay extra to keep the bike. If they increased the amount of stations in the Denver area 500% it would be a pretty good start. Bikes are very nice and work well for the most part. But 9$ for a bike for 30 minutes at a time? That's honestly stupid. Go download Ofo for a bike it is a much better deal.

The bikes are great. Customer services is lacking if they have a computer cliche. Last weekend when I rented two bikes and paid for full day of rental $9 each... but then their computers had a cliche, and we were unable to access the bikes from 3 p.m. on... they felt fine about keeping a full day of charge on it. As their customer service person put it, "Well you go to ride the bikes." Well, actually, I only got to ride the bikes for a few hours. It was strange to have to explain why I shouldn't have to pay for a full day, when they only provided the bikes for a few hours. Actually, I got stranded a few miles from downtown and had to take Ubers the rest of the day. I got the money refunded, but had to argue for it. Odd.

'Denver Bike Sharing' isn't; B-Cycle is a hideousl...

'Denver Bike Sharing' isn't; B-Cycle is a hideously expensive, (if convenient), bicycle rental service that uses the public right-of-way to conduct its business and to profit from advertising other businesses. You are charged both an upfront daily rate of $8, as well as rent of $1 for rides between one half hour and an hour in length, but $4 for every half hour after that, for a maximum of $65 a day -- $8 + $65 = $73 is enough to buy a useable bicycle! For the money and resources that has already been expended on B-cycle, Denver could have fielded a vastly larger and cheaper system, not dependent on heavy, $1000 Treks, and not requiring a credit card of users. B-cycle is "bike-sharing" only in Newspeak.

The bike sharing is a great idea but it is VERY costly to just go ride for a day in the city. We wanted to just take a bike ride around the city while we were visiting and it ended up costing 21 dollars each person for probably 3 hours. You have to hook it up to another bike sharing place to not get charged but we wanted to go eat and there was not one close. We should have just taken a cab around town...would have costed the same amount!

Great system but Very Expensive. I was an annual member and regular user that will not be renewing this year since prices have doubled over the last 3 years. This years price hike to $135 is a $45 increase with no additional service or availability. :(

The bikes are too expensive, and adding the feature of being able to park the bike at ANY station would be better than having to return it after 30 min. Also the bikes are too big and clunky so they're very hard to control.

Three of us used the bike share to cycle literally all over the city over a 3 day weekend. As others have noted, it's not super cheep at $9 a day a $5 overage if you exceed 30 min but if you set your phone timer to 25 min, you will likely never be too far from a station to make it back to one in time. I would suggest for others that you buy the monthly pass if you are staying more than 2 days, otherwise you'll waste a few bucks.

The bikes are well serviced with exception of a couple low tires and loose seat stems, but we just found a pump and adjusted then seat post quick release bolt and we were in business. We had a great time seeing the city and bar hopping on these things. It easily helped us forget the cost and have a great time!
