Customer Service reps are horrible. Not an easy organization to work with. Without getting into the fun details behind it. I paid an entire year for insurance and was not able to use a DIME of it. Please...seriously do your homework and shop around a little before deciding to use Delta of Kansas. I look forward to reading DD's automated "I am sorry" response when I know damn well they are definitely not sorry.

Useless ins. pay for coverage for dental implants and they will only pay for the Abutment not the crown to cover the post, because the back tooth is missing but I pay for the coverage each pay period and they take my money without hesitation but don't want to pay for anything. 5 calls and still get told the same canned response. The work is not complete until the crown on the implant out $1466.00 Delta only paid $470.00 and the was the post. I understand 5 years of you not covering the implant after the crown is put on and it breaks or I have problems but not before the work is complete. I have done my research and figured out that Delta down coded my implant to minimize payment.
This is an update to a review that i posted 9 months ago about my Sons Dental trauma. After I made that review, my claim magically got resolved & they appeared to understand all of a sudden. I feel obligated to update that it was handled. 4 stars now since they have resolved this, but it took a ton of effort on my part & a ton of help from a 3rd party that handles my husbands Insurance. I cannot say a normal customer would have had success with resolution. Read a new policy very carefully & be prepared to be hit with various interpretations of policy verbiage. Your version of a definition is likely not going to be shared by the Provider. Read carefully on accidents & emergency provisions. Its never an issue, until its an issue. Be prepared & document all calls with dates, times & names of people you speak to. If your Insurance is through your Employer, make sure your HR Dept. is contacted about any challenges you encounter & ask them for help. There is likely a broker or some sort of 3rd party they can put you in touch with so you dont have to deal directly with the Provider. Thank you for resolving my issues Delta, but please be more customer oriented, fair & reasonable, especially when it pertains to children.
This insurance is WORTHLESS! Do not do business with these people. They will take your monthly payments, but will find a way not to pay anything. Telephone reps are also worthless and not helpful.
I have bought the dental insurance for 2 years just so i can use to to pay for implant & denture. and the company wont pay for it because the denture cant be replace with in 5 years. I didnt Know that. When I buy this, no one told me this. I pay for 2 years of insurance and we cant even use this. i could have use all these money to pay for the implant and denture instead of pay for the insurance that wont even pay when we need it. It has been 3 years since last denture, my gum skunk and the denture move around. i couldnt even eat. Getting implant is to help it stay in place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. SCAM
Terrible phone reps.these representatives are very rude and impatient..what a disappointment..I had delta dental from Georgia last year and was very satisfied but the ones from Kansas sucks ... I don't recommend them at all ..
Delta Dental is amazing. My husband needed a root canal and when we went to the dentist they told us you have great insurance and after all was said and done we only paid a copay of $271. Wow! Normally I expect to walk out with a bill over 1k for that type of procedure. Thank you delta dental of Kansas for turning a painful situation into a positive one.
