Beautiful hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful
Great hotel, loved the rooms, restaurant and lounge. Right close to downtown for easy walking access to numerous places
Convenient location, the staff are amazing, the restaurants are okay but hotel is definitely not new or swanky enough for the rates they charge. Deciding if the convenience offsets the cost is an individual choice.
I would give this hotel a better rating as I am normally a fan of it. However, within the past few months I stayed here and managed to leave my most beloved set of earrings on my night stand... when I check out and later realized I forgot them. I called back and was told that they weren t found. Hmmm, I find that hard to wrap my head around.
I would love to be able to trust housekeeping to properly store and store/contact owners of their left behind goods!
Beautiful facilities and located in the heart Saskatoon. Staff is always friendly and they have a restaurant right in the hotel.
Lovely building with a great view. Plenty of good Pokemon around, although it could use another after or a gym.
This is my favorite hotel to stay in Saskatoon. I love the central location and the old Railroad style hotel with modern amenities.
Mold...Mice.. and Bats...... This hotel is disgusting.
An amazing historical hotel with all the modern amenities. So much to see and do in the area, and the river view and river bank trails are a sight to see. Always love staying at the Bess.
We stayed at the Bessborough for only 2 nights during a short visit to Saskatoon. The hotel itself is beautiful and located in a prime location with beautiful views of the Saskatchewan River.
I have to admit, the hotel is in a good condition. Seems like the management has done an outstanding job maintaining the building in a pristine condition. Especially, when compared to other castle-like 4-star hotels across Canada.
From the outside, Bessborough looks like a fairytale castle by the river. Unfortunately, our experience was no fairytale. We had to change rooms three times during our short stay. The rooms are not very clean. At least not the three rooms that we had to drag our stuff to. Our problems started when we noticed a big wet spot on the mattress with tissues under the sheets. Our room had to be changed. We were offered another room; a much smaller room than what we paid for. Naturally, I was flabbergasted by this attitude and the downgrade. When questioned the front desk, I was told that the number of available rooms is very limited and the hotel is simply unable to find a room that matches the original booking. Yet a booking website I was using suggested that there are at least four available rooms at the Bessborough that fit my original booking. When I confronted the front desk about this, somehow a bigger room magically appeared and we had to move again.
Accidents happen. It's understandable that, for some reason, a big wet spot on a mattress can go unnoticed by the housekeeping staff. What is not expected however, is the processes that the management of this hotel, if any, has in place to deal with the the aftermath. I firmly believe that the hotel needs to do a better job in educating the staff on the basics of customer service skills. The staff should also be enabled by an existing set of protocols that guide them through such events.
After the first night, our calls to the front desk remained unanswered. We were unable to order room service as no one actually answered the phone. Operation and staffing are areas that require more attention at the Bessborough if it wants to hold on to that fourth precious star.
All in all, we are disappointed and frustrated, and unlikely to ever stay at a Marriott hotel again.
This place is beautiful. Get the free bike rental and peal around for a couple hours.
My wife and I had a very beautiful stay at the Delta Hotels by Marriot Bessborough! The ambience of the hotel was beautiful, the staff were courteous, and the food was tasty. The room was really lovely, with very comfy beddings. To top it all, we had a complementary room upgrade! It was a very beautiful experience for us.
Long time customer of the Bessborough. Quality hotel with terrific staff.
The Best, Bessborough is a walk back in time. Just love being here
Very professional and polite staff. Good atmosphere
Overall beautiful hotel...food is pricey.....
Staff was not friendly at all....
I was looking for a place to share a snack and a drink with friends. I liked the menu, but it was a bit pricey for what we were looking for at that moment.
Rooms are a tad small, but overall there aren't many things to complain about with the Bez. Downtown and close to many local attractions.
Attended a large lunch meeting. Excellent food. Great catering and staff. Excellent facilities.
At a social event outdoors. Food was gross but service was great
Spent our anniversary here and it was nice change to stay here. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do and had an enjoyable, restful stay. Will be going here again in the future.
We stayed in a king bed room, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, and the pool area is great. The only downside is that the walls are a little thin, which is to be expected in an older hotel.
I've never had hotel service this rude in Saskatchewan.
Beautiful historic hotel, just visited for sight seeing, would love to stay there one day. I have heard the Japanese restaurant Samurai is the best sushi in town.
Went to the Jazz fest in the gardens. Great venue with plenty of viable locations to see the concert. Highly recommend.
I always enjoy staying at the Delta Bessborough. I love the historic grandeur and riverside location in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. Rooms are in great shape and the staff are outstanding. If it had a fully functional restaurant for lunch and dinner, I would have given it a full five stars
The Bess is absolutely beautiful and the staff do an excellent job!
Really nice hotel. Amazing river view. Didn't like to be charged a deposit for using debit card
Location was great, and staff were helpful. My problem with this property is the rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. The carpet was pulling up in the middle of the room, there are no safes, no robes, no slippers, and the gym is nice but sparse. You can see the bones of a beautiful old CP Hotel, but those bones are decaying. Ultimately for me, I've stayed in several hotels that charged 400 dollars for one night, and the quality of room and atmosphere just wasn't there. Hard as well not to feel like your being gouged when the rate almost triples for one night because of a concert. I will not stay here again. Be aware of what you are booking.
Had dinner at the Samurai - food was excellent and service very attentive!
We spent a thousand dollars for a room and we had issues because we go had 7 people in the room
Stayed here for our anniversary and had a really pleasant time. Love the historical part of this place.
Really tiny beds. Was here for a competition and had to share 2 to a bed. Was way too small. Did offer a cot and bring it in so good service
I always enjoy attending events at the Bessborough. The staff is friendly and helpful. The amazing view is always a delight.
The whole experience was great! The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were very kind and helpful. I've already stayed at the Delta Bessborough twice and I would definitely do it again!
This is Saskatoons Grand Hotel on the beautiful Saskatchewan river. Parks ,gardens , Restaurants , bars , exercise and many other amenities you would find in a hotel of this caliber. Let the friendly and efficient staff pamper you in this river valley castle. Enjoy.
The Delta is a lovely hotel. The architecture and restaurants are top notch. The staff, st the front desk, was a little less than helpful but overall an enjoyable place to stay.
Went to the Samurai restaurant and had a great time. Service was great and it was a unique experience to have the chef at the table with you. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
Poor cleanliness. I found other people's hair all over my room and when I let the front desk know, all they did was send someone up to dust my room. Stay in a different hotel.
Great and iconic place to be. Staying here for few days would be an enjoyable time for anyone.
Bathroom ceiling leaked while I was there. They moved me promptly to another room, very apologetic. Very good service.
Central location with lots of bars and restaurants around. Facilities including salt water swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, gym, a few restaurants and a lobby lounge. Front desk staff Sarah is very helpful. Rooms are clean, comfortable bed, and pets are allowed; love it.
Hated this place. The grounds were nice but the service and rooms were just awful. Wrote reviews on yelp and trip advisor to get the word out. Crappy service, noisy, run down. Front desk was rude and unhelpful at check-in. We got here at 330 and there was a line up for people waiting for rooms to finished being cleaned. We finally got in around 430. Everytime we asked a question about parking, the girl held out her arms, pointed left and right and said "parking is on either side" no matter the question. (How much is parking? How do i get to the parking lot? Where can i park? Where is the handicap parking?) The place is old and poorly maintained. construction, street noise and wind came through the windows loud and clear. Lots of traffic starting at 6am. As well there was really loud banging on my floor starting at 630 - sounded like someone closing a large metal dumpster over and over. The gym was subpar as well. Weird equipment. People would also walk through using it as a thoroughfare fro the patio bar - wery distracting for working out. Grounds were very nice, great river walk and nice location - maybe they are being awful on purpose to get us outside?
Amazing place. Was upgraded club floor with access to club lounge. Great food and service. Very old castle type building.
At "Rock the River" in the beautiful Bessborough Gardens
The Bessborough is a beautiful hotel located right on the Saskatchewan river. It's within walking distance of many restaurants as well as the beautiful bridges of Saskatoon.
The view was nice and the employees were helpful and friendly. A good place to catch pokemon.
This is a great historic hotel located in a prime location in downtown Saskatoon. The views from this hotel are spectacular. The staff were very friendly at check-in. The rooms are all newly renovated and there are many places to charge your phone or other electronic devices. The rates are very reasonable given the class of this hotel. I definitely recommend this place.
Great location, professional staff, and a tremendous attention to detail in the room made this one of the nicest hotel experiences I've had. Would gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone staying in Saskatoon.
Had a great time at the Fright Night dinner for the Kidney Foundation. Food was amazing and the building is an icon, inside and out.
