Convenient location, the staff are amazing, the restaurants are okay but hotel is definitely not new or swanky enough for the rates they charge. Deciding if the convenience offsets the cost is an individual choice.

I would give this hotel a better rating as I am normally a fan of it. However, within the past few months I stayed here and managed to leave my most beloved set of earrings on my night stand... when I check out and later realized I forgot them. I called back and was told that they weren t found. Hmmm, I find that hard to wrap my head around.

I would love to be able to trust housekeeping to properly store and store/contact owners of their left behind goods!

We stayed at the Bessborough for only 2 nights during a short visit to Saskatoon. The hotel itself is beautiful and located in a prime location with beautiful views of the Saskatchewan River.

I have to admit, the hotel is in a good condition. Seems like the management has done an outstanding job maintaining the building in a pristine condition. Especially, when compared to other castle-like 4-star hotels across Canada.

From the outside, Bessborough looks like a fairytale castle by the river. Unfortunately, our experience was no fairytale. We had to change rooms three times during our short stay. The rooms are not very clean. At least not the three rooms that we had to drag our stuff to. Our problems started when we noticed a big wet spot on the mattress with tissues under the sheets. Our room had to be changed. We were offered another room; a much smaller room than what we paid for. Naturally, I was flabbergasted by this attitude and the downgrade. When questioned the front desk, I was told that the number of available rooms is very limited and the hotel is simply unable to find a room that matches the original booking. Yet a booking website I was using suggested that there are at least four available rooms at the Bessborough that fit my original booking. When I confronted the front desk about this, somehow a bigger room magically appeared and we had to move again.

Accidents happen. It's understandable that, for some reason, a big wet spot on a mattress can go unnoticed by the housekeeping staff. What is not expected however, is the processes that the management of this hotel, if any, has in place to deal with the the aftermath. I firmly believe that the hotel needs to do a better job in educating the staff on the basics of customer service skills. The staff should also be enabled by an existing set of protocols that guide them through such events.

After the first night, our calls to the front desk remained unanswered. We were unable to order room service as no one actually answered the phone. Operation and staffing are areas that require more attention at the Bessborough if it wants to hold on to that fourth precious star.

All in all, we are disappointed and frustrated, and unlikely to ever stay at a Marriott hotel again.

My wife and I had a very beautiful stay at the Delta Hotels by Marriot Bessborough! The ambience of the hotel was beautiful, the staff were courteous, and the food was tasty. The room was really lovely, with very comfy beddings. To top it all, we had a complementary room upgrade! It was a very beautiful experience for us.

Spent our anniversary here and it was nice change to stay here. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do and had an enjoyable, restful stay. Will be going here again in the future.

We stayed in a king bed room, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, and the pool area is great. The only downside is that the walls are a little thin, which is to be expected in an older hotel.

I always enjoy staying at the Delta Bessborough. I love the historic grandeur and riverside location in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. Rooms are in great shape and the staff are outstanding. If it had a fully functional restaurant for lunch and dinner, I would have given it a full five stars

Location was great, and staff were helpful. My problem with this property is the rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. The carpet was pulling up in the middle of the room, there are no safes, no robes, no slippers, and the gym is nice but sparse. You can see the bones of a beautiful old CP Hotel, but those bones are decaying. Ultimately for me, I've stayed in several hotels that charged 400 dollars for one night, and the quality of room and atmosphere just wasn't there. Hard as well not to feel like your being gouged when the rate almost triples for one night because of a concert. I will not stay here again. Be aware of what you are booking.

Central location with lots of bars and restaurants around. Facilities including salt water swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, gym, a few restaurants and a lobby lounge. Front desk staff Sarah is very helpful. Rooms are clean, comfortable bed, and pets are allowed; love it.

Hated this place. The grounds were nice but the service and rooms were just awful. Wrote reviews on yelp and trip advisor to get the word out. Crappy service, noisy, run down. Front desk was rude and unhelpful at check-in. We got here at 330 and there was a line up for people waiting for rooms to finished being cleaned. We finally got in around 430. Everytime we asked a question about parking, the girl held out her arms, pointed left and right and said "parking is on either side" no matter the question. (How much is parking? How do i get to the parking lot? Where can i park? Where is the handicap parking?) The place is old and poorly maintained. construction, street noise and wind came through the windows loud and clear. Lots of traffic starting at 6am. As well there was really loud banging on my floor starting at 630 - sounded like someone closing a large metal dumpster over and over. The gym was subpar as well. Weird equipment. People would also walk through using it as a thoroughfare fro the patio bar - wery distracting for working out. Grounds were very nice, great river walk and nice location - maybe they are being awful on purpose to get us outside?

This is a great historic hotel located in a prime location in downtown Saskatoon. The views from this hotel are spectacular. The staff were very friendly at check-in. The rooms are all newly renovated and there are many places to charge your phone or other electronic devices. The rates are very reasonable given the class of this hotel. I definitely recommend this place.

Great location, professional staff, and a tremendous attention to detail in the room made this one of the nicest hotel experiences I've had. Would gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone staying in Saskatoon.
