Very clean!! Well balanced meals that are tasty. Staff is very helpful. My apartment has a small kitchenette and plenty of living space. Mississippi Market is across the street for healthy snacks and the library is three blocks down.

Nights and weekends, its like a ghost town. My mom needs help getting to meals and especially on weekends they completely forget her. I've gotten numerous calls from mom asking me to please bring her something to eat. There are a FEW awesome workers mom loves but there are many that just don't care about there jobs. Memory care was supposed to start March 1st and it still has not. There's a lil gym that no one really uses. There's a spa (Jacuzzi) and mom can't use it cause they say it's broken. In 3 months, it hasn't been fixed?? Might need to start looking again. The only good thing is she gets to have her kitty.
The place is nice but the samli aides and nurses are very rude. They look at you as if you're below them. They don't want to help you and they are always on the phone. They won't even put the phone down when you're talking to them. If they can't even pay attention to me, are they really paying attention to the patients?
In October of 2019, my brother and I had to make a hard decision to move our mother to assisted living. We checked out a few places and we knew that Dellwood Gardens was top notch compared to the others. At first our mom fought us and was stubborn and not allowing herself to like it. A few months pass and her Health Partners worker sent me an email telling me that she had spoken with my mom and she loves it and it is the best decision that we had made to get her into such a wonderful place and she feels at home. They have good food, a beauty salon and mom feels safe and well cared for. She has even given in to them managing her meds and doing her laundry (as long as they use her downy) :) They have activities that residents can choose to partake in or not, it is their choice. Mom loves her independence, yet having the safety of knowing that someone will be there in a flash to assist her when/if she needs. Dellwood has truly been a blessing to me as I live in Philadelphia and I don't have to worry about her living alone, I know that she is in great hands. She loves the staff and they assist her whenever she requests it. Kudos to Dellwood!
So far so good. No complanits on the food or care. Looks like it had some wonderful renovations. Guests have been exceptionally friendly while I visit, staff have been helpful. Could use a little work on the door buzzing system to enter the building.
My mother is on the memory care unit and loves it. She has a key to her apartment so that she knows it is not a nursing home. That is a very important thing for her. The activities keep her engaged and she loves the choice of foods they give her. The staff is friendly and patient. This is an all inclusive senior living. To see my mother happy and healthy is so wonderful. Dellwood Gardens is allowing her to live independently while giving me the peace of mind that she is safe and assisted.
