Although we may have one of the greatest pregnancy rates in texas, del valle is a relly smart school. I have attended DVHS for four years and it isnt that bad, come here and attend the school before you judge us. Yes, we are rachett!!!!!
They are the worst school district! They call you 10 days later after an incident with your child! Like really? Why Call at all? It wasn't important 10 days, why would it be now?

I am currently a sophomore here. Alright education. Teachers are generally nice. The principal and vice principal have a power trip. Kids are alright. Some ridiculous rules: No out side food minus lunch that has to be in a lunch bag or brown paper bag (I have witnessed the principal making students throw away home lunches), you have only a number of restroom passes and if you go over the limit you get ISS or suspension, can't use your phone in the hallway during class, if you get your phone taken your parent has to go the next day and pay $15 and any other fees you have, etc. My advice would be to send your kids to AISD.
It sucks i dont like the people and everyone spreads rumors that are fake so much drama and the ap suck ass

It s as good as you make it, it s just like any other high school.
Staff is super rude & unprofessional, parked in administrator parking without realizing i was coming to get my sister should of been (5min) but since this school has no idea where their students are or where they are testing it turned into a whole hr waiting on her. Well as I m parked outside waiting this administrator (Short white guy with big nose) comes up to me do you know how to read?! So I m like what yes? He s like down there it says administration so I m like ok? He s like over there back there it says Visitor (literally one care away) i go in & out of the school that s why it says administrator so he s like already mad and im like ok well maybe if you guys knew where your students where i wouldn t be waiting out here so he gets mad and walks away as he s walking away I m like I m sorry i made you walk a couple more steps. With attitude like that who do we have teaching our kids about ethics, kindness & respect. What he did was unecesarry.

Some of the students were very disrespectful as I watched a JV football game of Del Valle versus East Austin College Prep in 9/21/16. I witnessed some students in the back of the stands throw a bottle at family couple during the 3rd quarter, and a student threw a small object a size of a tooth pick at my back while watching the game in the end of the 3rd quarter. I disliked that friends and family can't watch the game and enjoy it without being bothered and being rudely disrespected. My opinions of this school has deeply sunk.
