Parking is always difficult, at the County Fair I suggest parking off-site and taking a shuttle or be prepared to walk a long way once you leave the fair with any already tired kids.

The horseraces during the summer provide a unique opportunity to see popular bands at a reduced price, as long as you arrive prior to the start of the last race and you don't mind standing around for a couple of hours.

Alot of fun checking out the cat show in Del Mar a few weeks ago. Some beautiful exotic kitties there. It was fun to see how the judges interact with the cats and how they form bonds with them all. They have all breeds there with options of adopting kittens or cats. It was also fun to watch children learning how to train their cats on agility courses. The cats interacted well with the public and seemed to thrive with the engagement through the afternoon. Unfortunately to get in to see the show the tickets costed $14.00 for 2. Not too bad, but the parking alone was $15.00. This us not the Del Mar Fair size event. You literally drive onto the faur site and park. The amount spent on parking could have gone towards supporting a booth vendor.

I ve been attending the San Diego Fair since grade school but recently went to the Fair Grounds for the Night Nation Run. Never got to experience the area when it was deserted in all the other areas despite the runners course. Enjoyed the set up and fun run course.

Commenting on the #San #Diego #Reptile #Expo

Commenting on the #San #Diego #Reptile #Expo
It was not as large as the event we attended back in March. It puts me in mind of a trade show (open to the public) for reptile owners or people who desire to purchase one, and or equipment. I would have liked to see more educational displays, or more variety on the Main Stage of different types of reptiles. One of the stage show's had very unique animals displayed, but most weren't reptiles! Lol!

Went to the fair. I thought I had just gone, where did the year go. I thought the fair was bigger than I found it. I guess memories play tricks on you. I don't like walking a long way to the gate, and I took my elderly mother so I paid the $25 parking. It was a short walk to the entrance which allowed us to spend more time walking around the fair. We found out later that we could have parked in the handicap section for free. No complaints though, we got what we paid for. The fair was great and the food was a once a year treat. We had a good time and will be back next year.

The grounds play host to dozens of seminal events each year like the County Fair, gun shows, train shows, horse races, trade events, and the Holiday of Lights. Although it's a little dated the grounds are clean and well kept.

We had a great experience at the Del Mar Fair this year! This year's theme was "How Sweet it is" which revolves around candy. The fair is fun for all ages, with mild rides and a farm/petting zoo for the kids, more severe rides for millenials/young adults, art exhibits for the more creative type, rock shows and other spectacles that all can enjoy, and great deals on prices for amazing products! The food choice is a little unhealthy though, so you might want to pack some snacks. Don't bring any knives though, they are not allowed. Have fun!

The SD Fair. Too Expensive and parking across the street is a ridiculous $17.00!! They should include a couple rides with entry because even on the cheapie days you have to pay for parking or shuttle in. Fun rides though, convenient scan cards instead of tickets this year but as usual rides are expensive but the games are waaaaay too expensive and run on the ride scan card too. Food is good ofcourse. The Wizard of Oz exhibit is pretty cool.

Was exciting to my son because there was a petting zoo, train and lots of rides and games. Besides that there were tons of places to eat, not too many healthy options would like to have more variety in that area future wise. Some food options very over priced!!! Also other items were priced high yet the quality was not worth the buck. Vendors should do better. Parking is expensive and traffic in and out, surrounding freeway is jam packed therefore we caught a free shuttle from a nearby high school. If you choose this option be prepared to wait. Fairgrounds opened at 11am and closed at midnight. Shuttle service ran from noon to 11pm

CARS CARS CARS ! My wife and I drive our cars or ride our bikes past here almost every day. Obviously with the pandemic shutdown on since mid March there has been absolutely nothing going on here. A few weeks ago we noticed cars being stored on the lot.......couldn't figure it out. The number of cars kept growing daily until there was probably a few thousand all neatly aligned in parallel rows. What's going on here we said to each other ? One day I spotted a guy who had just parked a car behind a row of other cars...hey what's all this about mate ? The guy replied they were being paid to store cars for Enterprise / National Rental Car. Last time I checked there were over 4000 rental cars here...no fancy ones just the regular Mom's and Pop's family type cars mostly. Gotta make a buck somehow !

Good horse show venue with the spookiest indoor arena in town. This is a bonus for horses and riders moving up. Parking is more limited than ever and a bit challenging, but it is a horse show after all.
