Our water was shut off, apparently to upgrade the meter. However they forgot to turn it back on. No note, message, knock at the door. A private contractor at my neighbors house had a key and turned it back on.
When I called to report the outage, rather than an apology I was told it was illegal to turn my water back on

Excellent response to an online report! I went online to report a leak near a water valve in my front lawn at 3am and by late morning the next day (less than 8 hours later) the County crew was there fixing the leak. When I stepped out of the house, the Supervisor of the crew came to explain the problem with the water line and to tell me it was resolved before it could have gotten worse and thank me for reporting it. I appreciate the great effort!

Poor customer service. Do you really have to have am attitude. But then again they just hire anyone. Before you walk in take a deep breath and pray to who ever it is you pray to. You'll thank me later.

This is my first time dealing with this company. I moved into a rental in Dekalb county...So I had no say-so in how my utilities were managed. I received a ridiculously large bill after moving in. I talked to 3 different people and have not been able to get a clear answer or breakdown of the charges. I have never had a sewer bill this high. They are definitely price gouging, especially if you refuse to provide a usage breakdown. You're just pulling numbers out of your behind and forcing us to pay the bills.

Consider living in an area where you will not have to deal with this company!

As a new customer I emailed an application in to establish water service. I was told because I lived in the unincorporated part of our county I would have to get a water compliance certificate filled out within 30days or my service would be disconnected. Having purchased an older home I found that ALL three of my toilets needed replacing. Before My 30days were up on day 22 I found my water to be disconnected. What a joke!

We unexpectedly lost water pressure this morning. When I called Watershed they promptly directed me to a dispatcher, who had the details of the cause and assured us this was a temporary short trial shutdown. While the unexpected shutdown was annoying, I appreciated the prompt and professional manner of the response.

We requested 15 days ago the connection of the water service in a new address for reasons of moving in Tucker. Upon receiving the request, they never informed that someone should be present in the house so that they could turn on the water. Leaving a note informing the reason why they did not turn it on (that's why I give it a star). On the same day, the form was sent to authorize them to leave the water on even when no one was in the house since it is difficult for us to be available all day the gang goes and expressing that we do not hold any harm within the home, in case there is a leak. He responded that they would call again, but it would take 5 to 7 business days. Yesterday they said in the office that today, May 21, they would turn on the water, after 6 pm, and they still did not turn on the water. A telephone call was made to the manager, who stated that they were supposed to turn it on today. In conclusion, it has been very difficult to handle this situation.

Good afternoon.

Good afternoon.
Horrible customer service given today (12/20/2019) on your emergency line.
The residents of the Emerald Estates subdivision are experiencing low water pressure. I called to see what was going on. The representative spoke to me like i should have known what the problem was. He was very flippant and condescending and should not be working on the phones. Terrible!!!!

Several times within the last few years including today we have had our sewer line back up with the blockage occurring beyond our property line. Each time we have called the maintenance crew has responded on the same day and have been able to quickly correct the problem. We really appreciate the prompt response and great attitude of those that came to help each time.

Pretty annoying. I submitted my application, called them to make sure everything was ok, sent the rep my application again. They said 1-3 business days to get the water switched over. On the third day they turned off the water. I called and they said there was an outage in my area. Next day no water. Called back and they said I'd have to wait until Monday to talk to billing. Called billing on Monday, sent them my application again, and they said it would be 1-5 business days to turn the service back on. Haven't responded to any emails or messages since.

Nothing like being cut off by a county vehicle with one working tail light. Then when addressing to said county worker, be shrug off like wreckless driving is ok so long as you're in a county vehicle. Van #15301 not like anything will change, but who knows it's election time.

No water at my residence!! I have been calling for a month for a Field Technician to come to my house to turn on the water. Customer Service apologizes every time stating its an internal problem they are experiencing.

I called into DeKalb Watershed Management due to a concern regarding sewer back potentially backing up into my home from Snapfinger Creek. I spoke with Ms. Sandra, who was extremely polite and professional. She listened to my concerns and even called me back to provide and update on my ticket. Within the same business day workers showed up to my home to assess the situation. The technicians were polite and took the time to explain what was going on in laymen terms. Thank you!

I despise this company and everything about them. They overcharge people for water at insane amounts. They take no responsibility and corruption has been found here multiple times. They wonder why they are getting death threats. Well here is why because you customers are sick of your terrible company. I will be making sure that this company is fully investigated and shut down for good. I have had several water companies and this is the absolute worst one.

My water was turned off with no notice due to a clerical error. I called in to address the issue and was greeted with a less than knowledgeable service rep who couldn't explain to me the proper steps to get this resolved. That being said, I went to the office in person and the rep was able to resolve the issue. She told me it could be up to 5 days before my water was restored which is a huge inconvenience for any family. The water was turned back on within 24 hours of my visit so I cant be upset. Yes, they messed up. However, they resolved it in a respectful and timely manner. I read all of the horror stories associated with this group and I was truly worried it would be weeks before we got our water back. 4 stars-it would have been a 5 except for the service rep having no clue as to why my account was made inactive.

Incompetent to the point of being criminal. They are actually trying to cover-up illegal activity and scam customers. Residents are actually moving to other counties just to no longer have to deal with them. Absolutely the worst! Too many bad experiences to list.

**DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ACH WITHDRAWALS !** I would give them 0 stars if I could. I called to cancel service as I was moving. They sent me a 'final bill' but failed to close my account. A new resident moved in and I was charged for their water. I have made phone calls, sent emails and certified mail. They refuse to remove my ACH and close my account even though I have moved. I have had to open a dispute with my bank to stop the deductions from my bank account. They refuse to answer my letters, emails and phone calls. They say they will call me back, but they never do. This is a SCAM!

Terrible customer service, horrible service geared to only generate revenue against businesses for a dumb backflow device inspection, will not allow the opening of a Business just because my bathroom (which will not use as mall has others) does not have a device and installation is $1,200 which I don't have!!! Now I've lost all the money I spent on building out and cannot open because of this, unbelievable!

I set up utilities for my job. They have the worst customer service. Being snappy and rude when questioning bills that are sent without explanation of charges. They make everything twice as hard as it should be. Charging owners and tenants for the same usage then making you jump though hoops for a refund to be issued not a credit. This company needs to be audited and then clean house on the rude people answering the phones.

I want to commend the people in DeKalb County Watershed Management for a job well done. Although it's taken a while to complete everything, I have to say that as an individual homeowner, they have not let me fall through the crack. I reported a leak in the street near the base of my driveway in January. They came out in a timely manner and repaired the leak after having to dig up the threshold of my drive. Everything was filled in with stones so I could get in and out. When the weather got better, they came out and replaced my driveway threshold with concrete and more recently they installed sod on either side of the drive. All I am waiting for now is for then to come out with asphalt to fill the space in the street that had been dug out at the threshold of my drive.
I've hear and read about all kinds of horror stories regarding DeKalb Water, but I have to give them credit for doing a good job for me, including billing. Thank you DeKalb County Watershed Management!
