Rude staff, was so excited to find a small fairly cheap place to take my 1 year old who loves animals. We got there and it s small but quite clean and first of all there are chickens, ducks and turkeys whiccmy daughter was fascinated by. Then there were some rats, rabbits and guinea pigs which again were adorable. The cows, pigs, goats and sheep were out the back and you can use 50p coins to buy a tiny bag of food for them. My rating comes to the fact the staff refused to heat up my 1 year olds food in the microwave. Even though I was happy to buy a drink and donate money to the farm I was shocked at how unaccommodating they were for a small child. So my daughter cried most of the time we were there as they wouldn t heat it. Won t be going back... shocking service

Deen City Farm: An Urban Oasis in the Heart of London

Deen City Farm is a unique and vibrant urban farm located in the heart of the London Borough of Merton. As a charity, Deen City Farm relies on support from Merton Council, donations from visitors, and the local community to carry out its work. The farm has been providing educational opportunities for children and adults alike since 1978.

The farm is home to a variety of animals including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and ducks. Visitors can get up close with these animals by taking part in one of the many animal handling sessions that are held throughout the day. These sessions are led by experienced staff who provide visitors with an insight into animal care and welfare.

In addition to animal handling sessions, Deen City Farm offers a range of educational activities for schools and community groups. These activities include workshops on farming practices such as milking cows or shearing sheep as well as environmental education programs that focus on topics such as sustainability or biodiversity.

One unique feature of Deen City Farm is its horse riding program which provides lessons for riders at all levels. The program includes both group lessons and private tuition with experienced instructors who help riders develop their skills while also building confidence around horses.

The farm also has an onsite café which serves delicious homemade food made using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while taking in views over the paddocks where some of the animals graze.

Deen City Farm is committed to promoting sustainable living practices through its various initiatives such as composting workshops or beekeeping courses which teach people how they can make their own honey at home using bees kept on site!

Overall Deen City Farm provides an oasis within London where visitors can escape from city life for a few hours while learning about farming practices and getting up close with some amazing animals!
