Declan's is the quintessential neighborhood pub. The owner, Dave, is a great person and knows many of his regulars by name. The drinks are priced well and the food is great. I'd recommend Declan's to anyone looking for a good place to watch the game, or a casual night of enjoying beers in the pub and hanging out. You'll feel at home here.
This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. Every time I come to this place I am highly satisfied. They keep their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.
last night was the first time we went to this good restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We had a good time with the efficient service, with the first-rate dishes and booze and with the modest pay. We will absolutely visit there in a short time.
Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. Service is consistently great. Prices are reasonable I would say. They have so many great reviews for a reason.
Great place to have a private party- they do wristband specials. The upper private area is fun and clean and has a cool view of all the rest of the bar. We had our engagement party here and Charlie was our bartender. He is great and made everyone feel special and got the drinks out fast. Managers Carly and Dave took great care of us also getting all the details worked out so it was a super smooth and fun night!
With this pandemic still going on, that was my first time outside of my house. My friends and I went to Declan's Irish Pub, the place was spotless clean, all windows opened leaving the fresh air to flow, servers wearing masks and gloves, disposables menus, everything was perfect. We felt the environment was very safe.
The food was to die for, the burguers cook very well as we asked, the drinks was well prepared by the bartender girl.
I totally recommend this place. I was very impressed by the end , so as my friends.

Declan's is my favorite bar in the Old Town stretch, and one of my favorites in all of Chicago! The space here is great - if it's nice outside, we'll grab a table on the sidewalk or there's always tables inside since it's pretty spacious. We usually find ourselves here when we don't want to deal with all the craziness further north on Wells on a night out on the weekend.
Came here a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I eat a burger with sweet potato fries which were cooked to perfection. The waitresses are awesome. Prepare to spend a pretty penny but well worth it. And im back again today so you know its good.
Food was great! They have a lot of vegetarian options, even veggie burgers!
