This is late from when we stayed here in April 201...

This is late from when we stayed here in April 2018 but I wanted to ensure I wrote a review for this awesome place. My husband and I went to Amsterdam for our honeymoon and we were so happy we chose this place to stay for 2 weeks. This location is close to downtown and you can walk everywhere in Amsterdam (so close that closer to our last days we booked Anne frank House at 10 am and woke up too late to get the tram and we walked fast across town and still made it in 20 minutes) but you need to ensure you watch for bicycles and trams. Units come with a kitchenette and a lovely living/dining room, bedroom, bath. Always clean and well kept with the modern look. I loved the orange couch as we were in town for Kings Day which was an amazing feeling in the city.

You can walk to the Artis Zoo, City Center, Little Boy which is a meeting place for food tour we went On, flower market, Amstel restaurant, Amsterdam Heritage Museum, Anne Frank house and much more.

First day we arrive we were able to store our luggage at the Wittenburg securely and walk around the town when we arrived back they checked us in and the reception staff is very friendly and able to help with anything you wanted to take part in, in the city or outside. They helped us book our day excursion to the windmills, keukenof and cheese factory outside. They have gym facilities here as well but we were busy exploring the city to do any extra exercise. They came into the rooms daily for garbage removal and one a week clean through which kept the place clean during your stay.

This location is great for couple and families as they have rental of bikes and they have outside checker/chess game.
Location is close to grocery stores and the AB grocery store up the road, give the the biggest kudos as they were soo helpful with everything, discount card which helped for food and beer purchases and helping to point us in the right direction to get a tram card and just overall helpful. Thank you.

We enjoyed our visit to The Wittenburg and next time we will stay here.

The Wittenberg is a very good location to organize activities. Faithful and this makes the atmosphere slightly different, but a disadvantage is that during a stay, only the dormitory may be used, no other rooms. Too bad if everything is full and you want to come to your senses.

A truly beautiful building, a support fund should ...

A truly beautiful building, a support fund should actually be set up because religious communities are of course always tight on their budgets. There are really lovely spaces, wide staircases, beautiful stained glass and many other interesting details. There is a dormitory, a landing, a beautiful entrance, a well-equipped kitchen and the communal cozy areas surrounded by impressive trees and situated opposite a vast forest area, it invites to a longer stay among like-minded people.
People who 'are looking' find originality here. This glorious environment is very important to come to your senses, to be able to weigh things up in peace and then to be able to contemplate deeply. The building once housed the Nazis, was for many years a well-known boys' boarding school and has (hopefully) found its final destination. Grotesque new construction (Zeist is not a 'poor man' municipality) may be creeping further and further in the direction of the building, but until now it still holds up and so strongly resists prosperity, quick money and a murderous drive for renovation. In addition, the building as well as its teachers spread through 'the word' compensation and satisfaction to masses of wandering spirits, thus affirming their right to exist in a country where many residents yearn for something to hold on to, grip and support.
