de Gouden Karper Review

Despite the corona measures had a very pleasant and hospitable stay. We had booked a superior room, so there was space for a dining table in the room. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served (actually in front of) the room. Everything well taken care of.
Room was neat and spacious. Nice village and beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommended and worth repeating in our opinion!

Operation is unfriendly, and it takes a terribly long time

Despite Corona, we were allowed to enjoy a delicious bok beer while standing on the veranda! A welcome change after a nice walk on the Keppel estate!

If you want to taste the atmosphere of the past, then you should definitely pay a visit here, as if you were stepping from one moment to the next into another era. Fortunately that only concerns the interior: club armchairs, deer heads on the walls and paintings from the period that people still traveled on horseback. The menu is excellent and the lunch menu certainly modern and tasty.

Great hotel, tasty traditional game food. Very hospitable and helpful. Also in this covid period everything is well organized. Worth repeating.

I was there for a concert by music association Hummelo and Keppel. It was all very well furnished and looked good too.

Nice place for walking trails. A bit old-fashioned, the weather is nice on the terrace.

Delicious lunch with original dishes in De Gouden Karper. A location with a lot of history. Fast service and also friendly. It was quite busy and even the large room was almost full.

Traditional location with good food and pleasant atmosphere. Recommended.

The golden carp misses the mark. No service at all after our lunch was drenched in the coffee, which flew across the table and our clothes after a large chestnut fell into our coffee. No compensation whatsoever while it fell from their tree.

This company shows that they have an eye for the customer. Unfortunately, we had to end our visit unexpectedly due to an illness. Just kindness and understanding. Keep it up.

Eating is to go wild (but a 'timeless' decoration from 40 years ago)

Great starting place for a nice walk and then enjoy a nice drink etc.

Due to Covid all restaurants closed. But very hungry for game food.
Via the internet arrived at the Gouden Karper and picked up the food there. It was really delicious. We ate delicious wild boar sukade and pheasant. Our 6-year-old son feasted on the game croquettes and snacked on our plates. A very big recommendation !!!

A great hotel with friendly people and delicious cuisine. Everything very well cared for. Would like to go back soon. A wonderful terrace in front of the hotel. We were there for the second time with girlfriends. Nothing was too much.

Very fast service and a neat decoration. The terrace is minimal but enough if you walk the adjacent hiking trails.

After a hard day we found this place to sleep. They have a restaurant too. Something we didn't expected in such a small village. The dinner and service were great!

The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly. Instead of the breakfast plate I would have liked a buffet. All in all a good place to stay.

A beautiful location with a beautiful terrace. However, the furniture is not very comfortable. The decor is old-fashioned and the service formal and stiff. That makes me feel less than welcome.
