Very good food every time, good service. Also very tasty when the game season is open. Always think along well with my wife's allergies.

Professional and friendly service. A classic menu but I expected something more from the food. The attachments in particular were very limited and simple.

Great place for lunch or drinks. Here they serve the beautiful wines of the Winery 't Heenkenbroek a little further.

With nice weather you can also sit under the veranda. For example for a cup of coffee after a bike ride.

Authentic restaurant, which is wonderfully not modern. Lots of wildlife and good quality, different spaces so that it retains a cozy atmosphere and does not become a large hall. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by!

During Vive la France we stood next to Hot De Gouden Karper with our stall. They are very welcoming and the service is extremely friendly and helpful.

Traditional restaurant with "forgotten" products on the menu such as veal tongue and sweetbread.

Despite booking a table only in a side room not exactly atmosphere full. The food was a bigger disappointment. Tournedos was very tough. The wild boar rack was very dry, it looks like it had been heated from the microwave. The wild boar citron was very good. The starter tasting game was very mediocre and served way too cold.

A hotel, cafe, restaurant located in a characteristic building with a beautiful veranda and cool terrace under the trees.
Food is of good quality, but I had a slightly higher expectation about the meal accompanying vegetable and potato garnish.
The baked potatoes and fries + a cold mixed salad and a mixed warm vegetable in the dish, although generously provided, were very simple in design.
In other words A little more creativity in the preparation of the aforementioned would make the main dish, in our case the sweetbread, stand out much better.
A tasty potato pie and / or vegetable pie, for example, would have just made the difference and lifted the whole thing to a higher level. Now the mixed vegetables all tasted the same and fries, in my opinion, bring a meal down towards the tourist plate.

Unfriendly service, ate tomato soup, but I think this just came from a package. The sandwiches were good, not special and quite expensive. We will not be back here soon.

The twelfth East-Gelderland Regional Translation was again held in this accommodation. And again, De Gouden Karper had an excellent job. The main room has undergone a major refurbishment. The atmosphere and the ambiance of this (theater) room that have always been excellent have not been affected. The renovation has strengthened them! What is also as usual: a wonderful wait staff under the guidance of professional Elisabeth. Yes, how nice to be at DGK again!

Restaurant de Gouden Karper is really great. It is really a night out. There is a nostalgic atmosphere, especially in the fall when you can eat delicious game. The menu is varied but not too much choice. The range of game in the wild season is very good and diverse. The food is very tastefully prepared and the matching wild wines make it complete. The service is very neat and friendly. Highly recommended for those who want to have a real night out again.

I wrote a negative review last year, due to miserably bad food (packet soup, black-edged lettuce etc) but it is no longer to be found. These are apparently simply deleted!
