Dawn of Hope, Inc Review

Did Reiki with Valerie for the first time ever and absolutely love it!! She did a great job, and I feel so rejuvenated!! Recommend her to anyone! Thank you!!

I am employed with a different agency that has individuals attending the Dawn of Hope day program. This is where all of the individuals come together from different agencies under on setting. The individuals are to be able to learn to function independently with minor help. In my opinion they are just a daycare for seniors with disabilities. There are some individuals that are high functioning and are out in the community working but a lot of them only come to DOH. It is so hard to describe the day to day going ons there unless you are there. A lot of the employees take their jobs seriously but there is a lot that only come for a paycheck without the care of the individuals in mind. DOH was once a wonderful place to work in and getting to know the individuals but everyday is not sunshine there and I think the individuals need more to do than just sit around. Each classroom is set up with activities to be done but how many individuals get to participate in the activities. I am sure with so many individuals in one place it is hard to give all of them the care they need but at the end of the day they get to go back home and relax.

This is an excellent organization that performs a valuable service to the community and people with disabilities.
