Way better service than CVS or Walgreens who don't give people there medicines that they need. They constantly say it has to meet their criteria...so glad I was referred to Davis Islands Pharmacy.
A trip to Davis Islands Pharmacy is a trip to a different era. While the store is as modern as any Walgreens of CVS, you get a special bonus at the Davis Islands Pharmacy. It's like walking into Sam Drucker's store in Hooterville where everyone knows everyone, and where the employees (and Bobby Bobo) treat thier customers like family.
There are not many places like this remaining in America. Davis Islands Parmacy is a true gem on a charming little island off the coast of Florida.

Great locally owned pharmacy that has been there for years. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
This is by far the best pharmacy we have ever been to. We drive 50 minutes each way just to get there. We were running out of desperately needed medicine and our crummy doctor would not answer the phone or call us back to write the prescription. The pharmacist here called everyday and left messages for them and demanded answers, knowing how important it was. We never heard back from the doctor but they did call the prescription in. Davis immediately called us to let us know it was ready. LIFESAVERS! Thank you. I won t name the doctor, and obviously we are changing, but let s just say we are not loving life with them!
Great place - very personable and are willing to ensure they have specific meds in stock for you if you go there regularly (CVS / Walgreen won t do that)

The pharmacy here is always super wonderful to work with. I was able to speak with the pharmacist on multiple occasions and he helped me a lot when I was tapering down my medicine. I felt very knowledgeable and confident with the plan we put together. Thank you one million times!

Perry, in the Compound Pharmacy was so helpful to us. We desperately were trying to get off the top to our dog s liquid medicine bottle AND couldn t. This, of course, was right at closing time just now, but he is going to accommodate us willingly. The medication is liquid Prozac, that needs to be consistent in dosing. We are so thankful to have this kind of help, when possible. Thanks Perry.

Bob , Perry and the rest of the staff are amazing! You can not get the type of service from a large chain that you can Davis Island Pharmacy. You can always depend on them. They know you by name and are extremely helpful when it comes to the questions you have about your medication.

They have the best service very knowledgeable and and helpful. I have been using them for 3 months now and never had an issue with anything. My dog takes heart medication Pimobendan which they compound and the price is great and works just as good. They also ship it to me. Thank you

Terrible experience so far. I have a bad memory, and because of this, I requested that Davis Islands Pharmacy assist me by calling my doctor's office and coordinating my prescription refills. They assured me they can and would this. They told me they have a special program for this. The pharmacist himself promised me he would personally take care of it.
Indeed, on their website, it states: "Davis Islands Pharmacy and our knowledgeable staff offers a number of tools and strategies to help you better manage your medications. There are two aspects to medication management: ensuring you fill your prescriptions on a timely basis and making sure you re taking them properly. In many cases, we work with prescribers and insurance companies to help coordinate refills and other aspects of your treatment to ensure you re getting the highest therapeutic benefit medicine can provide."
Again to repeat; it literally states " In many cases, we work with prescribers and insurance companies to help coordinate refills."
However, repeatedly they have failed to call my doctor and coordinate refills. I have appointments with my doctor every three months, and they should be calling monthly to get my 30-day medications refilled. They promised me they would do that, but they have forgotten.
I have tried to work with them since May 2020, and since June 2020 regarding these prescriptions. I called them again today, because today is the day of my doctor visit. The last time Davis Islands Pharmacy filled my prescriptions renewed was three months ago. While a couple of my prescriptions are 90-day prescriptions, several are 30-day prescriptions which did not get filled due to this pharmacy's lack of attentiveness.
So while their motto may be "we care," I personally have yet to witness this. They also didn't bother to call me to notify me if anything was wrong or to ask any questions if they had any about my prescriptions.
If you are relying on the program that I quoted, I cannot recommend this pharmacy as they are not reliable. I hope that in my future dealings with them they will change my mind on this point.

Their compounding lab is a god send when you are in a pinch and need special medicine made. They are my one stop shop with a smile! I love that the pharmacist listens to you and helps you find what you are looking for instead of telling you what you can get. They really listen and I loved working with them. I was so happy to be able to buy the right medicine I need! It was a great experience!!!!
This is a gem of a business. They have high-quality, 50% off greeting cards (every day prices) and free delivery for whatever you need. All their prices are very reasonable. And Randy at the check out counter is a great conversationalist. I wish I had checked them out years ago.
