Excellent overnight place but very much worn, needs refreshment

Great location but the shower had mold and the room was really smelly. Would not return.

Beds ok. Great location!
Unfortunately very hot and difficult to ventilate, as the windows only tilt. Breakfast ok. Guest kitchen not very well equipped. Coffee machine defective. Moldy shower curtain.

The hostel is basic but clean and the breakfast very good

Clean and very spacious rooms, clean bathroom. Good breakfast, and excellent free parking on site. Perfect location to reach Roskilde Cathedral and places of interest. Next to the Viking Ship Museum.

A great solution easily accessible on foot from Roskilde station. Friendly, welcoming staff. Pleasant and functional environment.

Real good rooms, but warm when the temperature is high outside. Breakfast is good.

Stayed in a room with private bathroom, good structure

The service was perfect, the man behind the counter had alot of information about the restaurants in town and places to go, the room was nice, and the beds was comfortable

Clean and warm with fun artwork on the walls. Located next to the Viking Ship Museum within the harbour. Good views from the harbour area and only 10 minutes walk from the train station.

It is beautifully situated on the harbor, the location does not fail, but if you, like us, have a room on the ground floor, all people can walk right past the rooms and look directly in. So therefore we had to have drawn the curtain for the whole day.

The location and the breakfast menu is great. The rooms are a bit worn out, the bathroom already moldy and less modern in general. Still recommendable for the price!

Clean, fair price and good service. Sadly no AC so the rooms get really hot and damp.

A great location for this hostel located near the Viking Museum Roskilde. The common areas are impeccable. Breakfast is well supplied. The rooms are spacious and very bright with views of the harbor. The center with its shops is only 1 km from the hostel.

Really beautiful location and is right next to the Viking boat museum and where the ship builders work. The rooms are a good size but with no fan and no a/c the rooms can get hot. The art on the walls was a nice touch as each room and each walk is unique. Watch out as there isn't always enough parking so be prepared to wait for a spot. The view out onto the bay is amazing.

Great beds, good location at the habour, kind service

Lovely outdoor area, but weird rooms where the walls are drawn / painted. The rooms are not very clean, the beds are dirty and bed linen and towels are expensive to rent.

Nicely located hostel in the port of Roskilde. Clean, large rooms. Nice service. The reception does not work round the clock which you have to take into account, but the keys to the room can be picked up even late in the evening so there are no problems. Restaurant and several booths with food around. The main commercial street Roskilde is a 15-20 min walk through the park. The Viking Museum is a 3-minute walk from the hostel.

So nice and sweet people.
Lacks some greenery for breakfast ;-)

Ideally located at the harbor, hostel does not mean hotel, but everything is clean, spacious and well organized.

I thank you for the friendly reception and a couple of good nights at Danhostel Roskilde. Got a nice breakfast and a cheap accommodation for the price. In addition, the course rooms lived up to expectations. Very satisfied!

Good breakfast buffet for the price ,. Last day we arrived at 9.15 for breakfast and there was both bread and juice missing, butter and milk. Was told that when you arrived so late you had to expect something missing. There is breakfast from 8-10 and the price is the same whether something is missing or not.
A little bad I think.

My experience is that I saw some spots on the quilts and pillows. There is also a large brown stain on the mattress. But otherwise it was a good place to stay in. For some days.

Okay place, but a little misleading to advertise with a double bed when it's ok

Beautiful location. Room ok toilet shower big enough. TV only a few Danish channels but very good WiFi.

I haven't been inside myself, but it always looks very well attended and from others I know, I've heard that it should be a good place for some nights.

The beds are nothing to shout for and make sure you have to ask for the remote control and that there is not enough for all rooms

Wonderful place to stay, would have liked air conditioning In the rooms though. The staff should be given the highest praise of all. Very welcoming, highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Nice place to stay, but the rooms and especially the mattresses were in poor condition, so we had to complain.

Very central, free parking, close to the Viking Museum, quiet. The breakfast was simple but good. Nice view from the dining room.

The price was low, but not very good quality: The bathroom was not well cleaned, floor and walls yellow and with mold and lime, toilet was not properly brushed and it was black , and the room full of ants. It was very hot inside and there was no fan or air conditioning. The breakfast for the price could have been varied, there was any fresh fruit.

The surrounding environment is very good, the hotel hardware is not the same

A beautiful place And in the rooms you can see ridiculous pictures of monsters and there is a magnificent Viking Park nearby

Breakfast with a view of the harbor and a self-cooked kitchen next to the breakfast area.
Nice staff is available.
A few minutes to the city center, where there is a market and other shops.

The location of this hostel is amazing. Good value for money also. Short walk through the park to the city center.

Very good hostel, in a beautiful landscape, neighbor of the Roskilde fjord. Accessible prices. Very youthful environment, which can be counterproductive for the elderly who do not adapt to it. They should further improve the cleanliness of the rooms.

We liked it there! The bathrooms would have to be more and better maintained and the skirting in the room were very dusty!

Beautiful location, simple rooms no ventilation only via windows. Super place for those who want it easy and cheap.

The room was ok but needed an update. The shower curtain was broken, the toilet ran and one bed was broken ..

Overnight ok. Room very worn and needed main cleaning and refreshment.

I give 3 stars. It's okay for one night. The location deserves 5 stars. If I come to Roskilde again and stay only one night, I'll book it again. It's just a hostel, you get what you pay for.

Compared to being a 2 star hotel, it gets 5 stars. It is not a 5 star hotel and one cannot expect conditions in relation to it.
We e got a room with a double bed and 2 knock out beds from the wall with its own toilet and shower.

Not uniformly hot over breakfast.
The room was not so clean.
Sweet staff and helpful.
Location was good easy and walk up into town and to the cathedral.
Lots of life around the harbor cozy.
Despite only 3 stars, I would recommend Roskilde Danhostel

Cleanly, toilets and showers are in the room, a little bit of food (paid separately).

Very good, not very expensive hostel with practical furnishings!

Well located, close to the harbor and the Viking Museum. However, it becomes as expensive as staying in a hotel, when you pay for bed linen and towels. The staff felt a bit tired and stressful, but it might be because we got there just after the Roskilde Festival.

Nice place for a quick overnight stay, but a lot of noise from the other hotel guests at night.

Duvets and pillows that smell, bedding with stains, generally not clean, thin walls, shower head that drowns out your thoughts

But the bed was okay, got to sleep.

Rooms: The room I had been handed the key to was not done properly clean eg. The rubbish bin was not emptied. It didn't look like it was vacuumed. Bathroom what a bit so far and here or some nice big rooms

Very little time there, but was a little disappointed to have to do own bed sheets. Clean but very, very basic
