A wonderful place to be if you let it be ... It really saved my life also my daughter. The only problem I have is the constant switching of the COUNSLOR s and the fact that they allow at least at the very least 70 girls from in patient to come down stairs to the drop room and drop with out patient clients with more than half of them are goin back up stairs to go to sleep and we have jobs and kids we have to get to work and school. ITS NOT FAIR!!!!

If you're looking for help to get off of opiates dacco is a good place to go but be careful if you have children they are quick to have your kids removed from so just be careful of what you say and how you go about getting treatment to be successful in recovery they are other places that you can go to that will not involve your children I proceed go to Tampa Metro treatment center and get great service and I love my counselor there she is awesome her name is Rada and she will help you
Love the staff there and there doing a amazing job helping all us people who are in recovery if your looking for a place for help I highly recommend this place the nurses and counselors and staff for your drug test collection are amazing I love them all
Longest lines in Hillsborough county. (Maybe even Florida) Waits are sometimes 3 or more hours outside in the sun. Especially on Fridays. Otherwise it is mostly okay. Decent counselors when they stick around more than a month. Nurses are alright. Check in lady is really nice. No matter how well you are doing, they will inconvenience you at every opportunity. Making it hard to maintain a job. (I dont think they do it on purpose but they also dont care that you will lose your job.)
If you have decent insurance, can afford to pay cash, or another option, take it. If you are on Medicaid or have to pay and need to apply for assistance in paying, this place will do.
I did two years in dpti this program sucks it's all about the money they stole 40% of my check in inpatient for "housing" but we have grants then when I get out I ow the full 1600 the 40% went to nothing then when I pay in full they won't confirm it with my probation they confirm credit card payments but won't confirm my cash payments
Awesome program!! Saved myself & my husband from addiction. Thank you Dacco for caring so much about your clients. & Judge Espinoza.. Saving families from the cycle of addiction. It's a beautiful things. I hope you get the help you need to recover. Recovery is POSSIBLE! I'm living proof.. Amen
I owe this place my life. If u live in Hillsborough County & u or a loved one is suffering from addiction, then this place is ur beacon of hope. The residential program got me clean & sober and what I learned during my time w the organization continues to help me maintain my sobriety two years later.
This is the worst place ever if you need rehab do not go to dacco they gave no idea what they are doing they are not equipt to provide the things necessary for a recovering addict please don't send your family member here it's a waste of time
THE STAFF ARE HORRIBLE AND TRULY SLOW. ALL THEY DO IS WALK AROUND DOING NOTHING WHILE THEY HAVE PEOPLE WAITING FOR THEM. IVE BEEN WAITING 2 1/2 HRS. AND ONLY SAW ONE PERSON FOR 2 MINUTES TO SIGN 3 PIECES OF PAPER. AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT OUT IN THE LOBBY. KEEP IN MIND THERE WAS ONLY 2 PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME.update still here 8:56am is when I arrived and it's now 3pm 6 hours later still waiting to been seen.
Well i started at PAR and transfered to Dacco. I thought in the beginning i give it a shot but after all the bull crap they put you through I honestly wish that i would have stayed at PAR I Have been drugfree with the exception of the methadone for 7 yrs now not once slipped but they don't care they still treat you like a criminal the only reason they want you here is for the money that's it.
This is one of the worst treatment places I've ever been too! Counselors and management staff are awful! None of your problems, you will have more than one, will ever have a solution!
They lie to get you to come for help then if you are not the right type of crackhead they won't help you horrible place don't waste your time going here
This place is HELL! Rude nurses, they kick you out almost immediately for relapsing, you have to wait sometimes over an hour just for the required monthly urine test for methadone or suboxone maintenance, they won't prescribe doses of methadone over 100mg even if that dose is too low to keep heavy ex users from getting sick, and occasional blatant racism from a couple of the black nurses towards their white patients. You will be treated like your less then a human by 90% of the staff and they will almost certainly handle you as if you are only drug seeking if you ask to raise your dose any. Expensive for a state run facility. Inpatient and outpatient rehab groups are literally run by girls who are also in the program themselves, and if you get caught breaking minor rules like smoking your penalty is to make up and facilitate a group yourself. Counselors and the director act like you are continually bothering them with your mere presence. Their success rate for all of their various rehabilitation programs is 2% after one year of treatment, which is the lowest anywhere in Central Florida. Honestly prison is better then this place and I'm not exaggerating. The gushing 5 star reviews on Google are most definitely written by the staff members. Steer clear of this place at all costs if you possibly can. If you want to dose on methadone or suboxone I would highly recommend new season on Nebraska Avenue. Nothing but good things to say about that treatment center. Shorter lines, more help, a little cheaper, and much nicer staff there, pretty much the opposite of dacco in every way imaginable!
Hello I've been in the Methadone program for over 4 years now and this place don't care at all. They just want to keep you dosing and that's it. Not one time have my counselor said let's work on getting you off Methadone ok. Nope not one time they want you to stay please run new people. Trust me if you're on pain pills only kick it you be sick for maybe 4 or 5 days and it's over. Try getting off Methadone takes almost a year or more I've tried it's very very hard wish I never got on Methadone program.dacco don't care at all Google things research what I'm saying. Good luck....(:-)
Because they wouldn't tell me anything about my friend being in there and how do I go about sending money dropping off clothes and we'll would I be able to visit or contact them via phone
It only works if u really want it. If not its just a place to do a drug leagel. U have to use the program don't let them suck u in not one worker will ever ask when u want start going down u gotta do it all yourself. They just care about ur money or insurance not u.
Dacco has helped me be a normal person so I can have a everyday life to be a mom and go to work the oats program works you just have to want it to work so far I've had very nice counselors I'm very thankful for that I just had my anniversary of 9 years the only thing I would change is the people that have a great record should not be treated the same as the people that have bad records I just pray that this place stays afloat and I get to stay there so I can be the best me I can thank you deco happy holidays.
This place is a government run facility belonging to a broken system run by broken people looking to break you and suck money if not from you then from your Tanf. They will not help, they prejudge and gossip about clients in front of incoming clients.Energy there is so awful, like that of a prison. They are also dishonest and spiteful. The most sane person could leave there full of turmoil. Don't waste one second here.
Dacco is good for somebody that's serious about getting sober. They can be your worst enemy if you're bullshittin. The Oats program is for opiate addiction recovery. They prescribed methadone or Suboxone.
If you have children and are going to be testing dirty you won't have children long. They are mandatory reporters after all.
I escaped! This place is the reason I went insane. They locked me in my room and took me off of my anti depressants. Stay away from this place at all costs.
This place is a government run facility, you will be treated like a number, and after going here for 3 years, they still treat me like An addict that is using, they do not make it easy to get a job, due to the fact that they don't make any appointments convenient, if you don't have insurance that covers DACCO then go to Tampa Metro on sligh and nebraska
Most of the staff are very friendly!! But you have your few rotten eggs in the group that will make your life a living hell if they don't like you one day, or just don't like you period. All in all it's a good program.
Nice place to aid in getting back on track the right way ony they charge too much money each day for dosing and most insurance doesn't cover methadone treatment.
(Besides the amazing nurses and majority of staff)Its all about them getting money and nothing else. In Dacco's front parking people are sitting outside by the bus stop smoking spice and doing drugs. I went there for help and got worse and met new plugs
If you are considering sending your child to this facility please go check it out in person for yourself. NONE of what they tell you on the phone is true. They literally "sell" you on their facility and it is a sham.
They help very few. They never believe you. They are there just to make money. Try the salvation army or Phoenix house try anything but this place of the court recommends this place get it switched
I am the family member of a person who entered DACCO. While the intake process was thorough, once my family member arrived it was a disaster. From detox to entry to treatment to complete misplacement, DACCO ended up being a horrible and expensive choice for my family. I cannot recommend DACCO as a treatment center for anyone, and would encourage others not to waste their time, money or desire to help family members get well at this facility.
This place is past my expectations in a WONDERFUL WAY. If your dedicated IN receiving help to change your life for the better, this is the place to help you. I've been in the program for 90 days and I feel a huge difference. I got my fiance' to come and receive help also, he is also really happy with this program and the results we are seeing and living. They ZEP program also helped me with BRAND NEW ITEMS from Target for our baby girl. Brand New: Stroller and Car seat, crib matress, 2 boxes of Newborn Diapers, 2 boxes of size 1 diapers, 1 box of size 2 diapers. 1 whole box of wipes. So DACCO HASN'T JUST HELPED ME. BUT HAS HELPED MY ENTIRE FAMILY; ME, MY FIANCE' AND MY BABY GIRL. AS WELL AS MY FIANCE'S PARENTS AND HIS SISTER, they are so relieved and they are completely supportive. Thank You DACCO AND DACCO COUNSELORS.
Well I really wanted to give a better rating than 2 stars but this is just my expirence. I did awesome in this program never failed any drug tests always made appointments with my couselor. Things went great for over a year. Until I changed my job. I talked to the powers that be about taking this job and was given the wrong information. I start work at 4am which put me In a situation that I couldn't make the time frame they give you. I never missed a dose in over a year. Needless to say my take homes are not given if you miss the day before. So I ended up having to miss a bunch of days because of this. I never would have taken new job if I new this would happen. The thing that gets me is absoultey no one would even try to help me in my situation. The main guy said well it sounds like it's a work problem. Yeah they want you to become a decent human being and get out into the world. My counselor who is a absoulet wonderful person who I really enjoyed speaking with every time I had a session. She made a honest mistake by giving me wrong information. The thing is I took a job on her words. So when the bricks came tumbling down not one person would help. It was so disappointing to see that. I ended up transferring to metro (New seasons). They went right to work getting everything organized to file for a federal exception to grant me a extra day take home so I could dose and go to work......question to myself is I was a good client zero failed drug tests why couldn't they help. Must have been too much paper work. The building is nice most the people are nice. But if you need anything extra from them forget about it. Again this was my expirence I wish I could talk to someone high up in the dacco organization to express my concern for the lack of knowledge and compassion for their clients
Just started and already wanted to punch the lady!! Very disrespectful and the case plan form States is things I never said. I recommend everyone run as far away as possible
This place saves lives,on the front line fighting the battle against drug addiction. A great in patient program for men, woman and mother's battling drug addiction. They help pregnant mothers and mother's that have lost their kids to change their life around and achieve goals that keep mother's and children together and happy. Can never say enough good about DACCO. Programs like this are a true blessing. Also a wonderful out patient program as well. They have it all when it comes to battling addiction...
