Brewcade is home to an assortment of classic video games and pinball machines that will have your inner gamer jumping for joy as you once again experience the sights, sounds, and feel of a real live arcade (although tweaked to cater to a slightly more mature game junkie who is old enough to purchase alcohol).

Great place for breakfast! They have the best portigease sausage and you can get spam and eggs and garlic rice (a Hawaiian favorite). Breakfast is also served with sticky white rice which is also a Hawaiian staple. They also have great hash browns which are very similar to McDonald's hash browns and are delicious! Coffee is just okbthough. But if you get there before 8:30 on the weekends you can get coffee and 2 pancakes for the price of a coffee!

One of my Favorite Hawaiin places. They got all your classic hawaiin dishes like Katsu, and BBQ, along with a few filipino "silog" dishes (breakfast) plus they have this thing called "meat jun" (alot of korean influence here) but it's basically beef covered in egg. It's delicious.

Free Snow cone if you check in with Yelp.

We put names down at both San tung 1 and 2. I recommend doing the same and making sure you pay attention to both lists. We could've gotten in earlier at San tung 2 but missed our name being called! Overall waited about 40minutes.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
I wasn't expecting much from customer service at such a busy Asian restaurant, but their service was pretty good given how hectic the place was. The servers were friendly and sometimes even funny LOL

Delicious food. The BBQ chicken and BBQ beef are amazing. I'm definitely going back to try everything. My son had the Salmon Poke and he said it's the best Poke he's ever had. The staff was very helpful and the place was very clean.

yuck! Ordered the BBQ chicken... Was absolutely gross... Rubbery and stringy at the same time... Rice noodles were also a slimy mess... The white rice was the only thing I could eat from my $10 order... Will not be back.

Poke salad, tuna was fresh, but was basically tuna and lettuce, sort of disappointing, but the dressing was just right. The beef with Hawaiian noodles was delicious. Slightly pricey, but not outrageous. Definitely would try this place again.

Their "bowls" is not in a bowl but rather a large to go container when I get it to go. It's a good amount of food even though it's called a bowl. I love the glass noodles on top of the rice and the bbq chicken is very flavorful.

Wow. Came to this restaurant. Ordered bbq chix and came out all burnt. Literally each piece of chicken had burnt crust on it. So I asked the cashier if they can please remake the chicken because it was all burnt. So she tells me it's going to he the same thing and takes my plate with an attitude. I've worked at an Hawaiian bbq restaurant for 4 years before and never ever is chicken supposed to be burnt. Lmfao. If that's how you eat chicken I feel bad for you. Your gonna catch cancer. And then she tells me I'm ridiculous for wanting my money back because I dont want to eat burnt chicken. Hahahaha. I feel sorry for the owner. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and horrible cook. Cashier had 0 common sense. Shouldnt be working in the food industry. Absolutely trash!!!! Gonna report to the owner.

Not a great deal, poor taste, large portions of charring and whatever ingredients they used (and/or sauces) caused a strong allergic reaction that caused the roof of my mouth to swell after just a few bites.

Aloha-eee ALOHA-eee. Damn I wish I could be in Hawaii right now. I must admit I watch Hawaii 5.0 and dream about living in Hawaii. If you have every been there you would know that true Hawaii food is the bomb DOT COM! Did I just use that. Yes I did. I admit that person I learn that from is half my age... Anyways, the only slight problem with California is we have our own versions of food: CA style sushi (rolls with stupid sauces making it look more like a burrito then sushi. Let's leave the California roll as something we all do at a Stop Sign), Stupid Fusion places and food trucks, CA style Chinese food, Teriyaki bowls CA style, CA BBQ, CA invented pretty much every Fast food burger joint, and last but not least Hawaiian style BBQ.

I admit I still have wet dreams about Yelp OC's Big Fat Hawaiian Wedding Elite at Don the Beachcomber. Minus the salty shredded pork, that place has the best Hawaiian food outside of the Islands. If I had my way, I would eat Poke from the super market and eat shredded pork and chocolate covered nuts until I die with a smile on my face. California isn't that bad we have beaches too... just not as clean with blue skies and water. We do have California Girls :) best descriptions you will find are in songs by this title by Katy Perry or The Beach Boys.

I admit Da Luau was not my first choice. I had to get something for a birthday from Baskin Robins and there were limited options: A pho place that go pretty much 1 Stars minus all the reviews without pictures, random Chinese place and a few fast food choices. Da Luau actually had a reasonable amount of people in the restaurant some of the patrons were actually Hawaiian. That's a good sign, but how was it?

Pros: The menu has a bunch of items that you would find in a restaurant in Hawaii, plus other popular CA style Hawaiian BBQ.
- Hawaiian music. After a long day of work it set the mode.
- Order In. So you can eat on a plate with silverware instead of in a poisonous styrofoam container. Classy.
- Friendly and helpful service
-Shaved Ice, but didn't get to try it.
-Chicken Katsu was decent. Lightly battered and cut in strips. It look more like chicken fingers or fish sticks than Katsu, but at least it wasn't too greasy
-Combo it up, you are not limited to just mac and rice. Choose from a lot of different sides.
-Variety, you don't have to just choose from 3 meats and rice.
-The food is okay, but given the options. You do feel more of an "at home" feeling like going to a Lu'Au in Hawaii and less like fast food garbage can.
-The food is prepared well and not overcooked.

Cons: not as good as L&L
-The Katsu sauce tasted like American BBQ sauce only milder.
-Expensive given the size. Most Hawaiian places give you enough food for lunch and dinner.
-Hard to think of cons. You will either like it, if it's your style. Or complain and hate it.

Unfortunately authentic Hawaiian food will not win over most Americans, they rather have the grease and fat instead of fish, health, and happiness. Da Luau is not the best, but it's does give you a slight taste of Hawaii. If you like L&L, you may not want to try this place. If you are down to try a variety of different items, give Da Luau a try. I'm interested in trying some of the other items, but this will still be a 2nd or 3rd option.

most quick service hawaiian restaurants in the mainland serve the same "chicken katsu/bbq beef/Aloha chicken" plate lunch. what sets da luau grill apart is that they have items like mochiko chicken and beef jun... items I haven't seen outside of Hawaii. overall, I'm giving this place 5 stars just on variety. the fact that the food tastes great is a bonus. the mochiko chicken is really excellent and evokes memories of Oahu. the beef Jun... look I'm just happy to be tasting beef jun again. they also have Loco moco fries or kahlua pork fries, but we didn't get to try those yet. will definitely be returning.

This place is a DISCOVERY! I am so happy to stumble upon this restaurant. Forget all the commercial Hawaiian grills you ve ever been to, this place is legit and their food is delicious and from the first bite I knew it was great quality compared to other Hawaiian grills. The chicken katsu taste really good and I was surprised to finish the whole plate, usually its really heavy and oily, but at Da Luau it feels very good and light even though its a great portion. Thank you!

Always great food! Awesome portions and their cuts of meat seem to be better than those other Hawaiian BBQ places around. Also, their service and prompt and staff quite helpful! Definitely gives you a great home vibe like back in Hawaii.

Hawaiian breakfast can be obtained here. Food is pretty good, service is a little lacking. I was chastised once because my food took a long time to make because I ordered lunch at breakfast and the person taking my order didn't ask the kitchen before entering it.

This spot was my first foray into outdoor dining since COVID, and it was a great experience! We got seated really quickly despite not having a reservation, and got a spot with a nice view of the pier. The service was great and the workers were really attentive.

We ordered oysters, clam chowder, and the scallop & crab risotto. The risotto was definitely my favorite -- it was creamy & thick with generous portions of crab throughout, and the scallops were super juicy :) The clam chowder was pretty good (nothing super special about it but yummy regardless).

This was a tough one. First off, the staff was courteous, and helpful! Wasn't sure what "potato mac salad" was, I've had potato salad and mac salad, but not this, and she was patient and explained it to me! By the way it is really good!
The flavors were all really good. It was not too salty, not too sweet. The spicy pork was not extremely spicy. If you like just a little bit of spicy then this would work for you. If like really spicy you'll have to add more yourself. The beef was tough and hard to chew, the chicken and pork were just right.
So the reason I have 3 stars was the portion size! For the price, you would expect more of everything! One ice cream scooper sized scoop of rice and potato mac salad! The meat barely filled the to-go container! Just by the weight you could tell there was not a lot in there! I've been to the Aloha Hawaiian BBQ, and that place serves great food and great portions!
If you are looking for Hawaiian food, I would drive a little bit further and go to Aloha Hawaiian BBQ, you will not regret that decision!

I was quite disappointed. Google listed the restaurant as closing at 9:00. I arrived at 8:05 on a Saturday night and was told by the cashier that the restaurant was closed. As I left, the COVID modified schedule said they closed at 8:30. I ended up getting ramen from ahi ahi, which was delicious.

This place came highly recommended so I thought I would try it out for my lunch. I called ahead of time to place an order for pick up as I don't have much of a lunch break on Sundays with work. No one answer the phone after multiple attempts. I double-checked the hours and took a chance that they would be open since that's what online website stated. There was one family dining when I arrived the cashier was chatting with somebody in the back and it took several minutes for him to acknowledge that I was there. When he came to take my order he didn't even say hello he just waited for me to order. First impressions, common courtesy and answering the phone are important aspects of customer service. the food was delicious and I'm hoping that this was just a one-off for a Sunday afternoon and maybe not the "A" team

Easily the best breakfast spot in Irvine, with a Filipino/Hawaiian twist. Longanisa, Portuguese sausage, tocino, spam... And if you're opposed to the style, there's always eggs with hashbrowns, garlic rice, and the always incredible macadamia nut French toast. Not sure why this place doesn't "pop off" like Stacks or some other spots that have huge lines out the door. Not that I'm complaining I rarely have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to be served. No reservations needed, no nonsense. Go breakfast!

This review is for the service that I received on 06/07/19.

My wife and I came here for a late dinner at 8pm. We ordered our food - Lava Combo, Loco Moco Fries, Spam Musubi, and 2 drinks.

After a normal wait, the worker brought us our Loco Moco fries but not our combo or musubi. We didn't find it too unusual because he left our plastic number card on our table. We assumed that since he didn't take our number away, he'd just bring the second part of our order when it was ready.

My wife and I ate the Loco Moco pretty slowly, as we were mostly chatting and watching the Golden State - Toronto game. We finished the plate, bussed it, and thought we'd wait five more minutes.

Five minutes went by and I checked the receipt and it turns out it had been 45 minutes to the dot. I asked the worker and went to the prep station, looked at the orders on the line, and then muttered something to himself. Then he confronted the cooks who insisted that they'd made the order. He turned to me and said that they hadn't made it yet. He gave me the option of having them make the order and taking it to-go (they were going to close at 9) or getting a refund. At this point, we were kind of just dazed that this was happening and figured the refund would be more prudent.

He rattled off a "sorry" but immediately proceeded to rant about how he'd been dealing with incompetence from his staff all week. He was clearly agitated and told me that he was training a new front of house staff member who'd gotten everything mixed up.

The food here is great, and the variety on the menu is phenomenal. I have to leave a single star because this staff member was rude and clearly disgruntled. He threw his whole staff under the bus instead of accepting responsibility and offering a sincere apology. Ultimately- he was the one who brought half the order, and then totally forgot about us.

I put three stars for this review because not everything is tasteless. Being we re from Hawaii We are very familiar with how adobo fried rice is supposed to taste and look but this looks like they just stuffed the rice added some pork to the egg it has absolutely no seasoning or flavor. Adobo is a very vinegary flavorful spice and Looks as it should taste dark brown to brown. This absolutely had no flavor doesn t taste like fried rice and doesn t taste like adobo. Very disappointed. This is the second time we ordered this the first time we thought maybe we had a bad batch but this time we definitely figured out that this is nothing like adobo.

Stop by for breakfast. The place was good for an Asian theme breakfast but if your not interested in that for breakfast stay away. No decaf coffee, no traditional maple syrup and the pancakes was fair at best.

We ve all done the obligatory Hawaiian Luau through our over priced 4 star hotel when we visit and some of us travel amongst the locals. Hawaiian food out here is less about authentic, but more about BBQ because that s what the Western palate likes.

My Hawaiian family does eat a good amount of meat, but they also infuse a good amount of non fried seafood. Poke, tuna, sardines and that s what I liken L&L s and Aloha s compared to this. YES, they do the typical plates here and they do fried fish, but they certainly do it better than L&L and Aloha.

I wish someone did garlic shrimp, grilled their mahi mahi and slow cooked their oxtail soup up thick. Those are my 3 biggest complains about mainland Hawaiian food.

I found their poke and poke salad to be at odds. The salad had ginger soy dressing but the regular poke had no ginger shavings and the carrots, whoa, those do not belong. Love the jicama, but I have no idea where they were taking this dish, unpolished. Hamburgers were good overall, but their loco moco was not so legit. First off it s only hamburger patti, not your choice of meat. The brown sauce is gravy, but it doesn t have the right consistency. Kalua pork is good, but could be more tender. Mochiko chicken was good, not a fan of the deep fry though.

Service is hit or miss depending on the time and your server/cook combo. I ve regularly come and had my order packed as I walked in, regularly had amazing service, but I ve also seen the place get packed and seen people after me wait 30 minutes for a combo plate, hohhhhhhh brah, not cool.

Since I don t live around here, I doubt I ll ever make it here for breakfast and since I m only in OC for work, I can t speak on it.

It s closer to Hawaiian grinds than others, but it aint no Back Home in Lahaina in Carson. Hohhh brah.
