Cypress Garden Care Center Review

My step daughter was there for 3 months and I couldn't more grateful to wonderful, professional and caring staff at Cypress. Her every need was met by the P/T and O/T staff, the doctors, nurses, social workers, aides, recreation department, food services and administrative personnel.
I can't thank you enough.

Please don't bring any loved ones here the nurses here don't take care of patients and won't look out for them

Having had past experiences in other nursing home/ rehabilitation centers, I knew that I made the best choice by coming here as soon as I came through the doors. Ari, the concierge, is phenomenal, and will be one of the first people to greet you as was the case by me. He makes sure to always attend to every need, want and or concern that one may have, willing to always go above and beyond for every resident here. Everyone here made my stay extremely safe and comfortable. Sibel, from social services helped me out tremendously, always with me every step of the way. Physical and occupational therapy went above and beyond to get me back on my feet and walking again, totally considerate of my physical health. The recreation department does not lag behind as they are so very attentative and will also go the extra mile for every resident here. The kitchen staff was amazing in meeting all of my needs, and always keeping the food tasting superb. Maintenance is behind the scene and sometimes goes unnoticed, but they are very much invaluable to Cypress Garden keeping everything clean, safe and functioning perfectly. Also, Cypress has a great administrative staff, and the best nursing department with all the cna's that work here. They have great professional, highly qualified and caring nurses.

Overall, my experience was great! This is the best place to be for anyone that needs to be in a nursing home/rehabilitation center. I am so grateful and indebted to and for Cypress Garden.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the care here is. My 90+ year old father has multiple medical issues and each issue is being addressed with skill and kindness. Whereas in the hospital the staff basically wrote him off, here they give him multiple therapies and speak of him making progress and then changing whatever treatment according to his changing needs. My father had recently been to a different rehab/nursing care facility, and I literally had to search approximately 15 minutes down empty hallways to find someone to talk to or if he needed anything. The hallways here are filled every day with all kinds of caregivers taking care of all the residents. These nurses, aides, therapists, concierge, manager, etc know me and my family by name, and come to update me every day I come. There is life and joy in the air. I am forever grateful to the wonderful people here at Cypress Garden.

Cypress Gardens made a difficult time manageable, while attending to my needs. The staff was beyond helpful from start to end. I especially found the nurses attentive and patient. In my many dealings with the concierge department , Ari S. specifically went above and beyond to try to make my stay as comfortable, which I truly appreciate. From Sibel in social services to Limah in recreation, everyone played a part in my recovery.

I entered the facility using a wheelchair and walker and thanks to the physical rehab department I left walking on my own. For this I m forever thankful.

I highly recommend this facility for you or you loved ones.

I have to say that we are very lucky, after hearing horror stories about so many facilities. My mother is well cared for and happy there. The staff overall is caring too.

Great service! I think the therapy department at Cypress Garden is fantastic! The meals are good. The recreation department and concierge are great people, always there to assist. All of the nurses are great! Social services are full of understanding people, they re very good.

Everything about this place is EXCELLENT! the care, the rehab, the staff and all the rest of it. They are all so nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

A good friend of mine, Mildred Merli was sent here to recover after experiencing a bad fall. She expressed to the staff that I am determined to walk again. Yes, she recovered well in a short nick of time due to the training exercises provided by the staff and social worker, Sibel Akgunlu who was extremely encouraging, helpful and caring.

I m a patient at cypress garden nursing home & rehabilitation. It s the best all around facility in New York City. I have been in severals facilities before looking to help for my recovery from a massive stroke that occurred in 2017 and only cypress made me better in such a short period of time. The therapy department is the best, they have well qualified, hard working therapists. My physical therapist Heeran has been my therapist since I was admitted and she has done an amazing job for me.
I would like to mention this wonderful young man, his name is Ari, he's the concierge. He s very pleasant, always willing to help and make us happy. He assists us with everything that we need.
Housekeeping does a great job in keeping all the units clean and spotless. During the pandemic, Cypress is doing a great job in taking the proper precautions to prevent infectionof Covid19.
I love the food, it s like eating in a restaurant. The food is well presented and the plate looks very neat, and very tasty too.
Also, the ladies from social services are outstanding, especially my social worker Ms. Sibel. She is a great lady and will go above and beyond to help the residents.
All the employees are professional, respectful and very helpful.
I strongly recommend cypress garden to everyone that needs help for themselves and their loved ones!!

My husband was at the Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for 7 months. I am grateful as he was treated well and I would get a call informing me everything progress he had and everything they were going to do to him.

My mother has been at Cypress Garden for 7 years. They have taken great care of her. It was a very hard decision for me to put my mother in Cypress Garden. But it was one of the best decision i ever made for my mother

I had a great experience at Cypress Garden.

The staff is great starting from nursing department to the housekeeping. I came into the facility not being able to walk and thanks to the great rehab department especially May who went above and beyond in helping me reach my goals and now I can walk, go up and down steps on my own and pain free. Thank you to Ari the concierge for always checking in on me and taking care of any of my needs. Thank you Sibel from social services for being so kind and also helping me out. Thank you to every single individual in Cypress that helped me during my stay here.

I would highly recommend this place.

I was interned for the last 5 months in this rehabilitation center, where I not only found special care, but also found affection, friendship and love from all the staff, who with their great will and care took care of me. I only have thanks to all of your staff, especially the body of nurses on the sixth floor, to all administrative staff, entertainment staff, your Social Work staff, and maintenance staff. Not only did they teach me to walk again but they reminded me of how human beings are treated, especially those who need special care. A GOD pays them, may the creator continue to pour blessings on all staff and continue to lavish so much love.

I ve been at Cypress Garden Center for approximately 4 months and had a very good experience.
The rehab department was excellent, specifically OT and PT.
Sibel from social services was especially accommodating and helpful with everything that had to be taken care of.
The maintenance and housekeeping staff were really good in performing their duties.
The concierge, Mr. Ari did an exceptional job in helping me with miscellaneous needs, especially with food options which highlighted my stay.
Overall the staff at Cypress are very kind, accommodating and professional.

My relative passed away here, they didn t even call us to let us know he wasn t feeling well. Anytime I called, they would say they d call back and never did. I heard people who were bringing the phone to the patients coughing in the background. The doctors and nurses were extremely rude as well to our family. My uncle passed away all alone in this place. They scheduled my mom a far date to come and see my uncle, by then he died. Please whatever you do think twice about here.

The staff in Cypress Garden are very respectful. The food is great. The therapy and recreation departments do an excellent job. Catherine the social worker is great at her job as she is very kind and understanding. Ari the concierge is excellent and makes sure that I'm never neglected.

I don t know any thing about this place, but base on reviews I did recommend my family sent my grandma here, but they don t listen, my grandma died in this place one day after she transfer to this place! ?

The staff at this facility is excellent. They took very good care of my relative. And the rehab therapy was great. I appreciate everything that was done for my relative here.

My sisters and I would like to extend our appreciation for the care our sister received as a patient on the 6th floor. All the nurses, CNAs, therapists, social workers and support staff were willing, competent and able to help us understand what our sister's needs were and how to accomplish the results. The diversity of the staff in no way compromise the quality of care our sister received.
