STAFF IS UNHELPFUL AND DOWNRIGHT RUDE! On 3/18/14...

STAFF IS UNHELPFUL AND DOWNRIGHT RUDE! On 3/18/14 I called this company regarding a rental. The ad said they had an open house already, so I asked if it was still available. The rude receptionist who answered said, "we already had the open house last Sunday and you will need to put application in and pay fee to be considered". After I went on their website to download application, I called back that afternoon and asked Yaritza if they accept check or cash with rental application. She said they accept cash or money order and told me there is 2 applications already for that property. She suggested I call back the next morning to see if it's still available. (No sense applying for something I haven't seen). When I called back on 3/19/14 am a nice but hurried man answered, I asked him the same question. He put me on hold a total of 3 times in 5 minutes. And when I asked for office address he put me into their auto answer to listen to it. I was still interested in unit but want to SEE it before turning in application and letting them run my credit. So I called back 3/20/14 am after seeing on their website the ad that said "call to make appointment". However when I called back the man said "No we don't make appointments to show units". I said "So there is no way for me to see this property?" He replied "No, you can only view units if we hold an open house or once you're Pre-approved for one of our properties". I LOST INTEREST AT THIS POINT AND FEEL SORRY FOR ANY LANDLORD THAT TRUSTS AND USES THIS COMPANY. My ex-boyfriend owns 36 rental properties in the area and would NEVER TREAT HIS PROSPECTIVE TENANTS LIKE THIS. LANDLORDS BEWARE....

Well Same experince as all had recently.
NEVER EVEN TRY CALLING THEM. They are bunch of shitty people with no idea of customer service. I am sure you will repent talking to them.
* Extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL on Phone
* When I called, they asked me to hold the lines multiple times at least 7-8 times for 5 min call. this is really pathetic.
* One of the guy this morning on 01/10/2014 just disconnected the line coz my wife and I were on conf call with the person and he didn't like that and wanted only one person to talk, so just disconnected in the middle of Conversation. I was shocked

Stay away from this company. CWP is extremely rud...

Stay away from this company. CWP is extremely rude and always keep your security deposit. I use to live in one of their units. When I moved out I had a cleaning company come in and clean my apartment. My neighbor also did not get her deposit back either. She also left her unit very clean. CWP also charged her for a light bulb in her bathroom for $45. Unbelievable! They say that they are under new ownership, lie. The owner is Karen Bergendahl and has been the owner since 1990 s. Also, her manager is Sandra Herrera and she has been there for over 20 years. The white man in the office is her brother. All of them are very unprofessional and rude. I don t know how they stay in business. So beware. Take pictures when you move in and out, if you do rent from these crooks.

Was a tenant under cwp property management less than 2 years. 980 sq foot appartment unit was fully painted. With in couple weeks most of door paints starts to pilled off due to contractor's paint over paint. Long story short we put curtains in one room and butter fly stickers in kids room. Very easy to remove and small frame in living room.

Any place you live there will be always minor touch up paint jobs.

She kept my entire $1100 deposit on top of that she bill me another $700 and something for whole unit needs painting. I would love to share my pictures and the manager Sandra Herrera who took pictures and ask you guys if this unit needed entire painting.

I had a move out inspection she canceled it never attempt to reschedule saying due to covid 19 shelter in place, I can't come for inspection.
With in a week after I moved out she send me the bill.
Hello shelter in place still not over yet.

All you tenants if you moving out and dealing with cwp specifically manager Sandra Herrera just be careful.

Drive to home depot buy paint and touch up yr self.

Sandra not only shows but also provides great leadership from what I have witnessed and experienced . I would like to take this time out to say "THANK YOU" Sandra and to her amazing TEAM she has on board! Thank you to ALL STAFF at CWP . You ALL show wonders in your work
You all have been truly amazing and helpful through ALL moments of me being a Tennant here at CWP.

I rented a house in Hayward over 5 years. I used there online payment on there website. Something was wrong with the dates of when the payment were taken out the system took out two payment for one months rent I called the office in San Leandro they kept telling me that they only have one payment I called my bank and told them what happened they called the office and I received the second payment back. After that the office told me that I can t use online payment I have to either give them cash or cashiers check. I also had my nephew and niece living with me after he turned 18 they wanted him to be on the lease, which I don t know why? But I never did it.
They also was raising the rent 100.00 every year
They taken out a tree in the front yard they left a big hole in the ground they never replace the tree. I WOULD NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN THE PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED THE PAYMENT ARE SO RUDE .

This place is the worst place to rent from they will take your whole deposit$ and You will never get nothing back I thought this was a reasonable place to rent from I would never go back to rent another apartment again .The kind of management there is so horrible this its my last time renting from them they're under New ownership I asked several times to talk to the new owner because it's not right I never got my money back or they never called me for inspection please do not rent from them. CWP we leave a bad taste in your mouth Please look at all the reviews ....and when got this apartment rent was $2195 and now its $2495 LOL with no upgrades. I hope the new ownership give me a call And get rid of Sandra the head manager !

If I could give this place 0 stars... I would! They will try to keep your security deposit and find every little thing that could be wrong with the house. A lot of things that were inspected was wear and tear from objects I could not justify due to everything that is old already (windows, walls with holes/cracks, kitchen appliance, concrete). They had all issues WAY overcharged on my last week before I moved out. The estimates that were made for carpet cleaning, paint, cleaning fee and appliance accessories replacement when I moved out was outrageous. I guarantee you can cross-reference and match better prices than what they had. Rule of thumb, take pictures when you move in, its for your own insured self that you will get some money than no money back. If you do not get nothing back from your security deposit, you should file a small claim and have a plan, if you feel that you have a statement to prove. I would not be writing a review this long unless its really that awful because in all honesty its not a trusted business thats you would want attract new tenants. I really hope Better Business Bureau see this review and audits this place for the bunk service they provide.

Working with property management companies isn't a...

Working with property management companies isn't always the easiest, but CWP Property Management was attentive and professional from day one. They have a super easy to use website to make payments or to request maintenance or repairs. They were always responsive and helpful with every phone call and conversation. Also, Viviana has always been very courteous and professional and wonderful to work with.

This place is extremely rude. The receptionist is very rude and abrasive. My experience with this company was absolutely horrible. I came in the office to submit my application for a rental and there was a white male that worked in the office instigating and snickering the whole time that I was inquiring about this rental. The person that runs the applications was explaining to me how there process works while these two clowns from the peanut gallery are having a field day in the background. I don't think there is anything funny about someone needing a place to live, especially when it comes to families. There are all sorts of changes happening globally as it pertains to the economy. I would hope and pray that these folks never have to find themselves on the other end. I would never recommend anyone to this company. you don't deserve a fraction of a star.

2601 MARINA BOULEVARD HAS ROACHES. No one there wants to do anything about it. The CWP pest control liaison told my husband and I he sees no problems with roaches and he allows his children to play with them at home. Yea, we stopped calling him! Trying to take care of the problem ourselves but thats hard to do when the other tenants have them with no worries! Very confused about pest control protocol???????

They are irresponsible, they used to be on top of ...

They are irresponsible, they used to be on top of the game, some people complain about them but I least speaking by myself they were doing good with us, about a year or two ago everything change their service is poor and not professional, you request maintenance services thru their portal, they don't do nothing and few days later their portal said that the maintenance request was done. If you have an emergency and request a service they just creat you a work order and no more than that, no matter if your unit is flooded or in fire their answer is someone will contact you tomorrow. If you rent from them, take pictures of everything when you receive the place, have a good attorney and document everything that you communicate with them, that will help you.

UPDATE: Thank you Patricia and Adriana (hope I didn't spell that wrong) for the new blinds, I appreciate the low price and more than that the follow up to my complaint. I'm loving the privacy in my kitchen once again in the apartment.
