Sitting alfresco for a cheeky red with a beautiful view of Hobart. Music piped through the undercover area with heaters for your comfort.

Food hit and miss. Better choices nearby for same or cheaper

Really nice food, and quick service. Was really hot weather though and there was no fan or aircon

Had scallop fest 2 course. Good servings at reasonable price

Good heater. Watched the AFL and had a good live music acoustic guitarist

I always stay here whenever I m in hobart. Perfect location and I always have the harbour facing room. Staff are very professional and accommodating. Couldn t highly recommend this place enough!

Good food, good atmosphere, quaint but clean rooms. Only issue is parking.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and my chicken parma was one of the best I can remember eating.

Very welcoming place, discreet and mindful in approach. The environment, architecture and smoked mussels were wonderful, too.

Pretty iconic and pleasant place to visit, can be overly busy during sports, but it's well worth a visit.

Prices are good, staff are friendly, and unlike a lot of venues in Hobart, bouncers are reasonable.

Good place to go tourists for a few quiet drinks.

I couldn't decide on just one main meal, so the staff were kind enough to allow me to order two entrees as my main.

Nice restaurant. Good food. Menu could do with more variety but covers all the basics!

This is a little ripper. Thought it might be a pub serving the tourist trade but it s more in tune to its local customers. Friendly bar staff, good and reasonably priced beer selection but the best by far was the $16 steak sandwich. It was a bargain and delicious. Steak was tender and cooked properly. Normally at this price I was expecting to chew on a thong - not the case. I m going back for more.

Always great service but I found the mushroom sauce too creamy with my steak.

2014. Great location, very nice rooms, and affordable price (in Australian terms). The Hotel delivers also qua pub and qua restaurant.

However, it is extremely noisy on Saturday night. You are literally sleeping on top of the bar. Overnight, all sorts of brawl burst out in the streets and there were drunk people trying to break into the place! Luckily, the door held.

In the end, nothing happened and the other days we spent there went quite smoothly...

In the end, I still got impressed by the food and the warm atmosphere of the rooms.

Nice old pub down by the waterfront. Handy if you're waiting for the boat and fancy a beer.

It had a nice outdoor area and goos range of beverages.

Cool beer, hot food and great service. Oh, and the rain stopped for us!

*chowder was okay a little watered down, also ordered
*crumbed scallops they where over cooked rubber texture, like If I got quick cheap takeaway from a fish and chips store...someone forgot to take out of deep fryer.
*when Bill came out it made no sense reading it ...it had drinks Bill yes understood, it had 2 Bistro Bill Prices, made no sense to customer, so I asked why ? - Waitress couldn't work it out either, so she went to manager then came back.

Our bill was 2 x $35 = $70 food



But bill Invoice Showen to Customer as below.

Still came to same price I understand this, but why show customers how u break it down ...we need to view & understand your system as in all my time of dining and doing reviews, I have never seen a Bill Invoice like this and a waitress couldn't understand either hmmmm.

I am starting to think going out to Places in Hobart is a waste of money and time, very Low quailty Meals High Prices and It would be great if a smile would appear from employees.

I had lunch here which was nice but a little expensive for what I recieved. There were also no options for lite meals.

Nice and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast - a la carta- is included and it was awesome. Big portions nicely cooked and presented.
Close to Salamanca street and the city Center. Staff was very friendly and supportive. Recommended.

Great food And a great range of both international and local beers!

Great chia and berries,,,the egg dishes looked huge but so did the people eating them,lovely old building,croisants from the local bakery would have been fantastic but alas it had to be a continental experience one morning,,basic stuff,the little jam,honey,butter etc plastic containers,hmmm,,,but overall quite nice except for the guy with the hat who took our dishes away,one of these guys who has shower or soap phobia,coffee and body odour dont really go together,please tell him not to come out of the kitchen.

Coffee was great, shame the kitchen closed at 10am. Found this to be pretty early in contrast to surrounding establishments.

There's a bar that's not over at Salamanca. Don't know what else to say, really. Haven't seen the hotel side of things.

Bagdad wallaby was superb, classic decor and friendly staff.

Wallaby snitzel was delightful. Very tender with a lovely smokey flavour. Scallops fresh and tasty.

It's ok. Steak was nice and tender. Easy to get to with parking close.

Great meal at a historic and classic pub. Wallaby Parmy was a massive hit!!

In the middle of the CBD, situated right by the water. Great views while you're dining!

My favourite bar in the world. Never get cut off, always open, go in dry, come out wet. Old faithful she never turns you away into the rain. Always welcomes you to her bosom...
