Great food and service in a warm atmosphere. Will go back again!

The place to be for yachtsmen and women after the Sydney to Hobart. It's said you don't complete the race until a pint here. Good ambiance and great selection of beverages.

We had a birthday dinner here on 22nd February and could not fault our service or our meals. We had 21 people and everyone loved their meals! Love coming here

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food & great customer service

The mushroom sauce had 2 slices of mushroom the steak had a fair bit of gristle but the lemon pudding was really nice as was the chowder

Just stopped for a coffee before the ferry to MONA. Took a while to get served and then to get orders even though they didn't seem particularly busy.

Good feed. Cheap drinks at happy 2hrs.

Very close to Salamanca markets.
Simple accommodation. Would stay again.

Our final night in Hobart was spent at Customs House. Whilst the rooms are modest, the location could not have been better. The room cost one-seventy for the night, which included breakfast and coffee for two with a Harbour view. It is worth noting that you may need to pay for a car park at fifteen dollars for the day (midday to morning).

Excellent food big helpings, friendly staff, reasonable prices and it was great tovwatch the cricket on a very big screen..only music was on too and a little too loud. Good place. Go there!

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We got in early so they allowed us to put our bags and let us check in later on.
The Room we stayed had double window so it was quiet and warm. The bed was good and the bathroom was also clean.
Location is really good, it's literally just steps from Skybus bus stop and salamanca and cbd area. So when we wanted to rest between our journey we just went back to hotel and stayed for a bit.
Breakfast was so delicious and the sea view was beautiful. My husband really enjoyed the meal every time.
Overall, it was very good! I will stay at this hotel again.

The location is very good, the room is spacious and comfortable, although the breakfast is not self-service, but the choice is varied, you can eat very full.

Accommodation was great! Clean rooms, comfortable king sized bed and a nice bathroom.
The hotel is very well located and a short walk to many different attractions. You could easily stay here and not need a car.
The breakfast was really good. Maybe one of the best breakfasts of all the places I've stayed.
The hotel bar had a good atmosphere and good range of drinks.

Best family run beachfront hotel in Hobart! Kindness and hospitality at the top. The restaurant is excellent, with tastings of local products, from oysters to scallops.

The rooms are good and the food is too. The breakfast included is great, coffee too. Conveniently located, accessible to everything. Good luckfinding better.

I will be staying here next year in February, can't wait! 3 Generations family holiday

If you're after fresh Tassie seafood this is the place to go - the scallops are magnificent!! Great atmosphere in a genuine old waterfront pub.

Room was clean and spacious. Shower hot and roomy. Unfortunately hallway and door to stairs were noisy as were the late night revellers who's shouting got through the double glazing.

Food was very good. All staff except one were very good. Apparently our group of 14 were "annoying" and we were all told this before we had even ordered our meals.

Friendly staff and good food. I was upgraded to a freshly refurbished room overlooking the harbour which was lovely.

We were walk in's on Christmas Eve and the staff were lovely and accommodated us in the restaurant. The food was great, staff friendly. I recommend the seafood bisque, it was amazing.

Spent a nice quiet Saturday afternoon here having a beer. The location at Hobart's famous wharf precinct gives you the most amazing views and allows you to deep dive into the maritime history of Hobart. The service is good and welcoming.

Greatest place we've stayed on our honeymoon yet! The room is charming with its convict hewn stone wall. The food is amazing and everyone has made our stay so wonderful!

Also, the only place we've been to that acknowledged it was our honeymoon!

Content to take advantage of the pandemic and ensure that everyone but them feels the pain of it. Very disappointing.

Great room overlooking the harbor. Street does get a bit noisy, especially in the wee hours of the morning. Room was clean and fairly spacious. Had a few minor maintenance issues with the shower door, one of which was resolved by the hotel without us asking. That door still leaks and has a bad magnetic seal. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.

Great environment friendly staff and a pretty good social place to have a drink

Impossible to get any sleep due to the tavern downstairs. Headboard reverberates to bad 90s covers into the small hours, loud banging ensues at 6am in the morning - presumably setting up the resteraunt. A shame because this is otherwise a good hotel - friendly staff, comfy rooms and decent breakfast.

Do not stay at this place! Absolutely appalling accommodation. The pictures online are not a true representation of what this place actually is like. We checked in and checked out again within 2 hours. We were even charged for one night.

Had a delicious fishermans basket - beer battered fish sweet and fresh, tender calamari and prawns...and Willy Smiths Organic Apple Cider on tap. Good atmosphere - going back for Salt & Pepper Squid tonight.

Comfortable bed! I d definitely go back. Good food, cold beer and nice friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet (even on Saturday night with patrons downstairs)

Food is just ok few chips and a dollop of coleslaw with main dish a few years back it was a great place to dine

On Friday I and friends had lunch at this establishment. Outside were approximately 15 people. Inside there were about 20 people either who had been served or about to be served.
Our main meals took too long to arrive, over 1 hour 15minutes.
They were welcomed at our table, as by this time we were very hungry.
The food was tasty and well proportioned.
There were 3 ladies sitting between the window & adjacent to the bar area. They were there before we arrived.
On paying our bill, I over heard one of the ladies complaining that their meals hadn't arrived.
So, the lady in question was advised the computer was down, we are using a paper order today, we must have misplaced the order.

There should be no misplacement of any orders. The staff couldn't care less.

I regularly attend work functions here in the Vue Bar. The food/catering is great, and the staff are very efficient. There's ample room inside, but also seating out the back for warmer nights.

Australian food is really salty, but the seafood Chowder seafood is fresh! I feel that the soup is so delicious! Asked about the kitchen, I used Gem fish to make soup for tonight! positive!

Very nice hotel, we'very great meals. We've been very comfortable so far after our first night.

Ordered a Fisherman's Basket? Asked the waitress if it would be enough for 2 people to share, she said 'yes, it should be'. This was not the case, very small serve, very oil-ly and the price was ridiculous. Such a shame, when Customs house use to be a great venue with great Service and great Food.

Has been a lovely stay. Perfect spot for getting around town.

Service was great and the history of the hotel was very interesting, it was also in the heart of salamanca which is a perfect location
